Nice To E-Meet You!

What marketing services do you need for your project?

Hiring a PrestaShop development company in 2026 is a strange exercise, because the merchant base and the supplier base do not live in the same place. PrestaShop’s install base is overwhelmingly European, with France, Spain, Poland and Italy carrying most of the brand’s search demand. The shops selling PrestaShop development services in English, though, run from Noida to Coimbatore to Tenerife to the eastern Netherlands.

The good news is that PrestaShop is unusually easy to verify. There is a real partner program with public tiers, and a company either holds a badge or it does not. We used that as the spine of this list, then went looking at what each agency actually publishes: named clients, case studies, module storefronts, and whether its PrestaShop pages have been touched since PrestaShop 9 shipped.

Where a figure is a company’s own claim rather than something a buyer can independently confirm, we say so. Where a shop has no badge at all, we say that plainly and explain what we found instead. That kind of honesty is more useful when you are about to spend six figures than a clean row of five-star graphics.

Read the credential column as a filter rather than a ranking: a two-star agency with the right ERP experience often beats a three-star one that has never touched your stack.

Best PrestaShop Development Companies In 2026

    1. Ecomiz — Platinum Partner Since 2011 With 650 Projects Claimed

Ecomiz has held PrestaShop’s Platinum and Expert 3-star certification since 2011, thirteen consecutive years at the highest partner tier the program offers. Badges lapse quietly when a team stops investing in a platform, and this one has not.

The agency says it has delivered more than 650 PrestaShop projects and handled over 130 version migrations since it was founded around 2010. Those are its own numbers, though the migration figure matters more: version upgrades are where PrestaShop projects go wrong, and a shop that has done them repeatedly will price the work honestly.

The team is twelve people, described on the site as an “équipe à taille humaine”, and the service range is wider than the headcount suggests: SEO with SEMrush certification, paid search as a Google Partner, ERP connectors for tools like Pennylane and Qonto, UX redesign, custom modules and Qualiopi-certified training. Named clients include Petit Picotin, Serie Golo, Greets Paris and Espace Ombrage. Ecomiz also says it built the first Claude and PrestaShop AI connector, a claim worth taking as the company’s own.

One small oddity: it markets itself as a Paris web agency, but the published legal address is in Bannost-Villegagnon, out in Seine-et-Marne.

    2. Hostinato — Partner Expert With 450 Live Stores And A Published Method

Hostinato is an eighteen-person agency in Legnano, just outside Milan, and it has been PrestaShop-certified for more than ten years. It holds Partner Expert status and states that it has put over 450 PrestaShop ecommerce projects live.

What sets it apart from the rest of the Italian contingent is that it publishes its project methodology step by step. Most agency sites describe outcomes; very few describe process, and a documented process is something you can hold a supplier to in week six when the scope starts drifting. If you want to know what happens between the kickoff call and the staging link, read that page first.

The named client roster is unusually long and unusually specific, covering NOVE25, Gyada, Qapla, Aruba through its Actalis SSL business, SIX2, MoonGroup, Recordit, Invidia 1973, Arco e Frecce, Radar1957, Ricambi Moto 2000, Gloria Store, Danieli, Graziano Tools and Ediliamo. Services run from migration and UX redesign through custom development, ERP, PIM and CRM integration, security hardening and hosting.

One practical note: the agency’s older partner page URL now returns a 404, so navigate from the certified-agency page rather than an old bookmark or directory entry.

    3. Webkul Software — 650-Person Module House With Three PrestaShop Badges

Founded in 2010 and headquartered in Noida, with further offices in Lucknow and Wilmington, Delaware, Webkul employs more than 650 people and has stayed self-bootstrapped with no outside investors. It displays three separate PrestaShop credentials: 3-Star Expert, Module Developer Partner and Superhero Seller.

That third badge points at what Webkul really is. It is a module publisher first, shipping extensions across PrestaShop, Magento, Shopware and OpenCart, and it owns the open-source projects Bagisto, UVdesk and QloApps. If your project is fundamentally about functionality that does not exist yet, marketplace mechanics, complex B2B rules, custom checkout logic, a shop that has shipped hundreds of extensions has already solved adjacent versions of your problem.

The corporate signals are strong for a buyer who needs procurement cover: CMMI Level 3 appraisal, a place on the Deloitte Technology Fast 50 India for five consecutive years, more than 150,000 customers company-wide, and a 4.5 out of 5 Google rating across upwards of 1,718 reviews.

The caveat matters. PrestaShop is one platform among several here, and Magento is arguably the bigger line of business. Ask how many people on your proposed team work on PrestaShop day to day.

    4. BelVG — Platinum Partner Since 2015 With A Dated Public Timeline

BelVG is unusually transparent about its own past, and that is the reason to consider it. Its About page carries a dated public timeline rather than the usual vague “since 2008” headline, and the timeline actually reaches back to 2004. The company states it became a PrestaShop Platinum Partner in 2015, and the current site footer carries an Official PrestaShop Expert badge.

The PrestaShop track record is documented in the same style. BelVG developed thirty PrestaShop modules across 2011 and 2012, and says its themes and modules have been downloaded around 4,000 times. Its named PrestaShop-era clients, MONIN, Salling DK and Tecmagex, are dated to 2013 and 2014 in its own timeline. That precision also tells you something: the heaviest PrestaShop-specific work in the public record is a decade old, so ask what the team has shipped on PrestaShop 8 and 9 recently.

Structurally it is a distributed company of more than eighty employees, with offices it describes as being in Poland, Latvia and the USA and no single street address published. The company traces back to Belarus. Magento and Shopware are also core practices.

    5. Kiwik — Expert 3-Star In Orleans With 500 Stores Created

Kiwik has been working on PrestaShop from Orléans since 2011, fourteen years on a single platform. The badge history is the detail worth noticing: the agency was a PrestaShop Platinum partner, then moved to Expert 3-star, which its site describes as the highest qualification level available. Watching a partner move between tiers as PrestaShop restructured its program beats a static badge, because someone there kept re-qualifying rather than letting an old certification sit on the footer.

The headline claim is 500 stores created. That is Kiwik’s own figure, but it is consistent with a fourteen-year run and it tells you what kind of shop this is: a volume builder that has taken a lot of French merchants through the same lifecycle.

The service list is deliberately narrow, covering creation, redesign and maintenance. For a merchant who wants a store built well and then looked after, that focus is a feature. For a merchant who needs a supply chain integration or a marketplace build, it means Kiwik will be one supplier among several rather than the only one. Team size is not published.

    6. ALCALINK — Expert 3-Star That Publishes Its Own Modules

ALCALINK operates out of Lorca in Murcia and holds certified PrestaShop Expert 3-star status. Neither its founding date nor its team size is published, so ask about both. There is a more telling signal on the site anyway.

The agency sells its own modules directly, Simple Image Slider WPO among them. Building and maintaining a commercial module is a genuinely different discipline from building a store. It means dealing with PrestaShop’s hook system across multiple versions, supporting other people’s themes, and handling upgrade breakage for customers you cannot call. An agency that does this has platform depth that does not show up in a portfolio of storefronts.

The service range fits that picture: custom module development, ERP integration, migration onto PrestaShop, security work and PrestaShop-specific SEO. That last item is worth distinguishing from general SEO, because PrestaShop’s URL structure, faceted navigation and multi-store handling all create technical problems a platform-agnostic agency will not anticipate.

Client reviews on the site name Herraiz, a ferretería industrial, and Perfumerías Nova Beauty. Both are Spanish, a fair reflection of where the agency’s center of gravity sits.

    7. Macronimous Web Solutions — Uncertified White-Label Bench Serving US, UK And AU Agencies

Start with the thing the company does not have: Macronimous holds no official PrestaShop badge and does not appear in PrestaShop’s own directory. If certification is your filter, stop here. We included it anyway, because the shape of the business is something buyers rarely see written down.

Macronimous has been in Coimbatore since 2002 and positions itself against freelancers and in-house teams rather than certified partners. Its stated model is white-label: the company says it maintains more than 200 active PrestaShop stores, most delivered under the banner of partner agencies in the US, UK and Australia, some of those partnerships running fourteen years or more.

That is the point. Some of the agencies a merchant hires subcontract their PrestaShop work, and this is the layer it gets subcontracted to.

All of the proof points are the company’s own and its clients are anonymized: a US home-goods retailer with 4,200 SKUs migrated in under four weeks, an Australian fashion brand cutting hosting costs by sixty percent. Capabilities span migration into PrestaShop, ERP and CRM connectors for SAP, NetSuite, Zoho, HubSpot, Salesforce and Xero, Smarty theme work, module engineering, Core Web Vitals and hosting.

    8. Bwlab — On PrestaShop Since 2009 With 700 Clients Claimed

Bwlab has been working on PrestaShop since 2009, which makes it one of the longest-running specialists in this group, and it holds Partner Expert Certificato status. It operates from Ciriè, north of Turin. Team size is not published, and the claim of more than 700 paying clients is the company’s own, so treat it as a measure of longevity rather than of project scale.

Like ALCALINK, Bwlab runs its own module storefront, branded Shop Moduli, alongside its client work. A shop that ships and supports commercial modules carries live PrestaShop knowledge in a way a pure project agency does not.

The named case study is Gambero Rosso, the Italian food and wine media and ecommerce brand, a substantially bigger content and commerce operation than the typical PrestaShop store and a useful indication of the ceiling Bwlab can work at.

Services cover custom module development, ERP and gestionale integration, technical audits and maintenance. The company also does Odoo consulting, which is a practical advantage if your back office runs on Odoo and a mild dilution of focus if it does not.

    9. FreshCommerce — Certified Expert Level II Agency With Deep ERP Coverage

FreshCommerce is based in La Cuesta in Tenerife and has more than ten years of experience on the platform. Be precise about its credential: it is a Certified PrestaShop Expert Level II Agency, the two-star tier rather than the three-star one held by Ecomiz, Kiwik, ALCALINK and Webkul. It is simply a fact to hold accurately when you compare proposals, because agencies rarely spell out which tier they sit on.

Where FreshCommerce is genuinely strong is integration breadth. Its published ERP list covers SAP, Oracle, Sage, Navision, Microsoft Dynamics, Odoo and A3ERP, wider coverage than almost anyone else here publishes. If your PrestaShop project is really a systems project wearing a storefront, that list is the reason to call.

The agency says it has built more than fifty custom modules and adapted over a hundred more. It is also a Brevo Master Partner, so marketing automation and transactional email sit inside the same team rather than with a second supplier. Migration work from WooCommerce, Shopify, Magento and BigCommerce is offered, along with CRM and marketplace builds. Team size is not published.

    10. EcomDoo — Trilingual Nearshore Shop Building For France Since 2011

EcomDoo runs as presta.ro in Romania and as ecomdoo.fr for the French market, with identical mission copy across both confirming a single company behind them. It is based in Cluj-Napoca, has been building PrestaShop stores since 2011, and holds PrestaShop Expert 2-star certification.

The model is nearshore delivery for France, and the language capability is the product: the company works in English, French and Romanian. For a French merchant that means a partner in a compatible time zone, at Romanian rates, who can run a meeting without switching to English.

There is a discrepancy worth knowing about. The official PrestaShop directory profile states “over 200 PrestaShop stores delivered across 5+ countries”, while the company’s own site says 150 or more stores launched, developed or fixed since 2011. The lower own-site figure is the safer one to work from.

Two further claims, both the company’s own, say something about how it works: the average client relationship exceeds three years, and around five percent of its client portfolio turns over more than a million euros a year. Services include ERP and accounting integration, automated product feed import, and Facebook and Google Merchant exports.

    11. Tajriba — No Badge, But A Current PrestaShop 9 Practice

Tajriba holds no official PrestaShop badge and is not in the official directory. It describes itself as “dé PrestaShop webshop specialisten”, which is a self-assessment rather than a credential. Look at what is actually on the site.

What is on the site is the evidence that matters for an uncertified shop. Tajriba maintains a current PrestaShop 9 landing page, and PrestaShop sits as a top-level item in the main navigation rather than buried three clicks down under a services menu. Both cost ongoing effort, and both are rare. A great many agencies that do hold badges are still running PrestaShop pages written for 1.7, and a stale version page is a better predictor of how a project will go than a badge from four years ago.

The company is more than fifteen years old, with over fourteen years of ecommerce project experience, and has been working with PrestaShop since 2010. It is based in Almelo in the eastern Netherlands, and team size is not published. Alongside development it offers SEO, hosting and domains, custom design, payment method configuration and ongoing maintenance.

    12. E-leva — Expert Partner With A Case Study Published By PrestaShop Itself

E-leva holds an official PrestaShop Expert badge through the PrestaShop Partner Program, but the badge is not the strongest thing it has. Its Sistemi Klein project was published by PrestaShop as an official case study on PrestaShop’s own blog. That is third-party confirmation rather than a self-claim, and it is the single most meaningful credential anywhere on this list.

A badge confirms that a company passed a certification process and pays to stay in the program. A case study published by the platform vendor means someone at PrestaShop looked at a specific build, judged it good enough to put the company’s name behind, and wrote it up.

E-leva is based in Pesaro on the Adriatic coast. Founding date and team size are not published, so ask. Named clients include Sistemi Klein, Dentalgreen, Galli Enoteca and I-gifts, a spread running from industrial supply to dental to wine retail.

The specialization to note is B2B: E-leva works on customer-group pricing and restricted-access catalogs, which is where PrestaShop projects most often need custom development. It also handles migration from Magento and ERP or gestionale synchronization.

How To Choose A PrestaShop Development Company

How Do You Read PrestaShop’s Partner Badges?

PrestaShop runs a real partner program with public tiers, which makes it far easier to verify than platforms with no certification at all. The ladder runs through Expert at one, two and three stars, with Platinum sitting at the top historically, plus supplementary Core Skills and Storefront Skills certifications. A three-star Expert has demonstrated more than a two-star Expert, and both have demonstrated more than a company that simply writes “PrestaShop experts” in its page title. Check the tier, not just the presence of a logo, and confirm the company still appears in PrestaShop’s own directory rather than trusting a footer badge image. For a wider view of how to weigh vendor credentials against fit, our guide to choosing a retail and ecommerce software development company works through the same problem across platforms.

Is The Agency Actually Current On PrestaShop 9?

PrestaShop 9 is the current major version, with 9.1.5 shipping in August 2026 and 9.2 in beta; PrestaShop 8.2.x remains the maintained prior line and still receives security patches. Versions 1.6 and 1.7 are long past end of life. So when an agency’s PrestaShop page talks about 1.7 as though it were current, or its most recent case study predates PrestaShop 8, that is a red flag worth naming out loud. Ask which version the team recommends for a new build and why, and ask what it makes of Hummingbird, the default theme in PrestaShop 9, compared with Classic, which is still maintained alongside it. An agency with an opinion about theme choice has done PrestaShop 9 work. An agency that says “we’ll use whatever you prefer” probably has not.

Who Will Actually Write The Code?

There is a white-label layer in this market that most buyers never see. Some agencies selling PrestaShop development subcontract delivery to specialist benches, several of which are perfectly good at the work and one of which appears above by name. Subcontracting is not a scandal, and an offshore bench with fourteen years on the platform may well write better PrestaShop code than the agency fronting it. What causes problems is not knowing. If the delivery team sits in a different time zone from the account manager, your two-day fix becomes a four-day fix and nobody mentioned that when you signed. Ask who writes the code, where they sit, whether they are employees, and whether you will have contact with them. The same logic applies to design, which is why it pays to know whether your ecommerce web design partner builds in house as well.

Does The Listing You Found Point At A Live Agency?

A surprising number of PrestaShop agency listings do not survive contact with a browser. While assembling this list we found one Dutch agency whose PrestaShop page now redirects to an unrelated Polish SaaS company, meaning the domain has lapsed or been repointed while directories carried on listing it as active. Another real, live company turned out to have a “hire a PrestaShop developer” page that was a generic multi-platform template repeated word for word across Magento, Shopify and WooCommerce, with testimonials on the PrestaShop page describing a Magento upgrade. Open the page, read it, and look for something that could only have been written by a team that does this work: a named client, a version number, a screenshot of an admin screen, a module they sell.

    Conclusion

The pattern across this group is that the most useful evidence is rarely the badge. It is the module a company sells and has to support for strangers, the case study the platform vendor chose to publish, the dated timeline that lets you see what the team shipped and when, the PrestaShop 9 page somebody bothered to write this year. Certification tells you a company invested in its relationship with PrestaShop. Those other signals tell you whether it is still doing the work.

Shortlist on fit before you shortlist on tier. A two-star agency that has connected PrestaShop to your exact ERP three times is a lower-risk choice than a three-star agency meeting Microsoft Dynamics for the first time. Time zone, language and whether the people on the sales call are the people on the build matter more than most buyers expect, and they matter most in month four, not month one. Ask what version they would build on, who writes the code, and what happens when PrestaShop 9.2 ships.
