AI does not know how to write.

Yes, it generates thousands of words within seconds, but it does not write quality content. Content that’s worthy of ranking on SERPs.

Forget the competition for a second! Consider only Google’s take on AI content for now. Google’s ranking system aims to reward content that demonstrates qualities of E-E-A-T: expertise, experience, authoritativeness, and trustworthiness.

AI content lacks all that, which is why using it for ranking purposes is spam for Google. And we have competition as well. To make it to the first SERP, our content must beat them, too.

So, one thing is clear: our content has to be high quality. And for that, we will have to write ourselves. Then what are AI tools here for?

Well! They are here to save our time and effort. So, we can write more content in less time without compromising the quality. This kind of content Google values and ranks on its SERPs.

But which tool? Multiple AI tools on the internet offer writing. To answer that question, I am comparing two AI writing tool platforms, Fueon and Grammarly.

Both of them offer multiple AI writing and proofreading tools. I will use them one by one to find out which one is better at writing AI-free content. Then, I will give a final verdict on the overall performance.

What Does Fueon Offer?

This platform is fairly new in comparison to Grammarly, which has been in the market since 2009. It is said to have a complete suite for every writing purpose. Let’s find out by going to fueon.com.

It really is a wholesome platform for writers. You can see there are 50+ tools for writing different types of content. I have not even heard about some of the tools before. Like the backstory generator, acronym writer, dialogue generator, and hook generator.

I wonder what they do, but I think I should keep this review to AI-free content writing.

So, I am opening Fueon’s AI text writer to get some content.

It writes multiple types of content, as you can see in the screenshot. I will choose the blog post, and the length will be maximum (5 paragraphs). My topic will be “SEO writing”. 

Let’s see what we get from Fueon’s AI writer.

The results were pretty quick and long too. With 421 words, it is almost half a blog. But I can tell it is AI-generated. The tone feels robotic, and the sentences are long. That’s what I was saying about the AI content. I will have to change the tone and sentence structure to use it on my website.

But I have something to write now. But first, I just have to check its AI similarity now. I will use the AI detector on this platform as all the tools are free.

Let’s pass the content it wrote for me here and see how much AI it has.

As I told you, the content is robotic. That’s what happens when you use AI to write for you. Not just this one. Any AI tool!

Google will definitely penalize it if used directly. We must humanize the text to remove its AI and make it more readable.

There is an AI humanizer on this platform as well. I am putting the content we have in this tool. I will set the result tone to “first person” (it is engaging).

This output looks amazing! It does not feel AI-written at all. Looks like somebody is actually explaining their experience. But I will check the AI again.

As I told you, this content does not feel like AI. However, I do not know if this AI detector is accurate or not. So, I will check it with another AI checker, QuillBot’s. I use this tool and I can tell it is accurate.

Fueon has successfully written AI-free content. But that is not all. There are other things to check. Like plagiarism and readability.

I do not think there will be any plagiarism because of its first-person tone. But I want to be sure about it. So let’s use the plagiarism checker by Fueon to see if I am right or not.

I am right again! Now let’s use the AI proofreader on this platform and see if a common man will be able to read it easily.

You can see the content is highly readable and well-structured. So, will I use it on my website?

No! Not until I add my insights into it. That is the most important thing. My creativity and unique perspective will make it worthy of ranking on SERPs. But first…

What Does Grammarly Offer?

Unlike Fueon, Grammarly has been around for over a decade. It is considered a go-to platform for writers. It’s not just an AI writing tool but a comprehensive assistant for grammar, style, and readability.

Let’s see how it goes in creating AI-free content in comparison to Fueon.

Grammarly has only six tools to offer against the 50+ tools of Fueon. But over 30 million people use Grammarly, so it must be the most accurate tool in the market.

I will use the same approach to use it as I did with Fueon. I will write, detect AI, and remove it on this platform. But here, I have to sign up to use any of its tools. So, let’s do that first.

I am the text editor of Grammarly after signing up for the platform. You can see some AI tools in the upper right corner. The grammar checker is selected by default. I want to write content first, so I am switching to generative AI.

It is asking for my tone and style. There are no content formats to choose from like Fueon’s AI writer offered. I guess I just have to write in the prompt. I am choosing the “Neutral” style of writing and a “Confident” tone.

Let’s set this as my voice and give the prompt, “Write a blog on SEO writing.” Let’s see what it does in comparison to Fueon.

This Grammarly writing tool has written a whole blog, while Fueon has written only five paragraphs. But how much AI similarity does its content have? Let’s see…

Oops! I will have to buy Grammarly Pro to check AI in its content. That I am not interested in. Because I can check it with free tools from other platforms. Like QuillBot and Fueon. And that’s exactly what I will do here.

Look at that! It’s not at all worthy of use on my website. The overall readability is good. But what am I going to do with that if the AI is 100%? Grammarly doesn’t have a dedicated AI humanizer tool, so I will pass its output through Fueon’s humanizer.

I will keep the settings the same as I used the last time. I hope it reduces the AI similarity.

The result looks good again. The first-person tone always makes the content look personalized and better. But is it AI-free now?

Much better but not as good as Fueon’s overall results were. I don’t think I should check the plagiarism of it, as there is plenty of AI similarity here.

So, I am done testing Grammarly here. Let’s summarize what I found in this review.

Both of these platforms have their own benefits. Fueon stands out for its comprehensive suite of tools for every writer. Produces AI-free content without requiring any signup.

Choosing one of these is completely up to your work demand. For me, I will go for Fueon. I think it will help me with my overall digital marketing, not just for writing.
