Meta Description: Compare the top BPO companies in Colombia for 2027: bilingual customer service, collections and back office from Bogota, Medellin, Pereira and other cities.
Colombia has become one of the first places US and Spanish companies look when they need Spanish and English support in their own working hours. Bogota, Medellin, Barranquilla, Cali and Pereira all run large contact center workforces, and the country stays on UTC-5 all year, which lines up with US Eastern time in winter and US Central time in summer. This guide is for operations leaders, customer experience heads and finance teams who are comparing BPO companies in Colombia for bilingual customer service, collections, sales and back office outsourcing.
Going into 2027, the offer has changed in two ways. First, almost every serious provider now sells agents together with automation: voicebots, chatbots, speech analytics, robotic process automation and AI assistants that sit beside the agent. Second, the market keeps consolidating, with international groups running some of the largest Colombian operations next to domestic firms that have grown from Medellin and Bogota. If you are new to the model itself, our pillar guide on what BPO is and how it works covers the basics before you read the profiles below.
Each firm on this list was checked on its own website for the services it sells, the cities it delivers from and who owns it. Firms whose sites showed no recent activity were left out, and we capped global multinationals at two so that locally founded companies get the attention they deserve. The result is a mix of large domestic operators that serve Colombian banks, telecoms and public bodies, and smaller nearshore specialists built for US clients that want a dedicated bilingual team.
If you are still deciding between countries, read our comparison of the Philippines, India and Colombia for BPO and our explainer on onshore, nearshore and offshore BPO. Both help you decide whether a nearshore BPO in Colombia is the right base before you start shortlisting vendors.

Emtelco is a Medellin company that describes itself as an experience hub rather than a plain contact center, combining customer experience, employee experience, digital channels and artificial intelligence. Its website lists more than 23 years in the business and three contact center sites: Olaya and Aguacatala in Medellin, and El Dorado in Bogota. From Colombia it serves clients in nine countries across the Americas, including Mexico, Guatemala, Costa Rica, Panama, Ecuador, Peru and Chile.
The service catalogue is broad. On the people side it covers customer service, sales, loyalty, collections, back office, service desk, telemarketing and surveys. On the automation side it sells chatbots and voicebots, intelligent IVR, cognitive RPA, speech and text analytics, identity validation and its own CRM development (eConnect), plus quality monitoring and service consulting. A September 2025 profile in La Republica, published as sponsored content and so best read as company-reported, put the workforce at more than 11,000 people in 30 cities handling over 120 million interactions a year, with 56% working from home.
Emtelco has been part of the UN Global Compact since 2012, reports nine CX Interaction Awards in 2026, and was ranked first in the telemarketing and BPO category of the Computrabajo Best WorkPlaces ranking. It suits large Spanish-heavy programs in Colombia and the wider region, and companies that want automation and agents from one supplier. US buyers who need English should ask which of the three sites would host their program and request language test results for the proposed team.
GroupCOS is a Bogota-based contact center and BPO group with more than 15 years in the industry. Its nearshore site, written for US buyers, cites more than 8,000 workstations and more than 1,000 agents already serving customers in the United States, and says operations are aligned with COPC standards. The main site groups its offer into customer operations, specialized collections, talent management, mystery shopping, and automation and analytics for reporting.
What stands out is the certification set listed on the nearshore page: ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 22301 (business continuity), ISO 27001 and a PCI certificate. For a buyer handling card payments or needing a documented continuity plan, that saves time in security review. GroupCOS also runs its own technology layer, Soul 360, which includes an AI agent, interaction analytics, a quick-assist tool for agents and an AI copilot. Industries named include telecommunications, insurance, banking, financial services, health care, utilities, and IT and SaaS.
GroupCOS fits US mid-market and enterprise companies that want a certified Colombian partner for bilingual customer service, telesales, collections or technical support without building their own entity. Ask which Colombian site and which client programs your agents would share a floor with, and how the AI tools are priced compared with seat-based billing.
Americas BPS is a Colombian business process services company headquartered on Avenida El Dorado in Bogota. Its website cites more than 21 years of experience and positions the firm around transformation rather than seats: it combines contact center, back office, automation, analytics and AI into consultative programs. The industries it lists are banking and insurance, health, cajas de compensacion (Colombia’s family compensation funds), telecom and technology, government and public sector, and services.
Three named initiatives on the site show how it sells. Blindaje Digital End-to-End is its data protection approach built around international compliance requirements. Americas para Todos is presented as the BPO industry’s first open innovation platform. A-LAB is its in-house technology unit that builds AI components for client operations. The company also publishes information security manuals for suppliers and a personal data protection policy, which is a useful signal for buyers in regulated sectors.
Americas BPS is a strong option for back office outsourcing in financial services, health and public sector work in Colombia, where process compliance matters as much as call handling. The site is in Spanish and the client list leans domestic, so US buyers should confirm English-language capacity and US client references early in the process.
Outsourcing S.A.S. BIC is a Bogota contact center and BPO company that says it manages interactions for more than 20 countries from Colombia. The BIC in its name refers to Colombia’s benefit and collective interest company status, which commits the business to social and environmental goals alongside profit. The homepage presents the firm as Colombia’s first call center and cites five locations and a team of more than 4,500, with commercial contacts for Colombia, Spain and the United States.
Its services span BPO, customer experience, knowledge process outsourcing and AI, under a theme it calls Total Experience. A dedicated page covers contact center services for Spain, and the company won a Platinum Customer Experience award in Spain, which it describes as a first for a Colombian BPO. In 2025 it ran an AI agents roadshow across Bogota, Medellin, Cali and Barranquilla, which shows where its commercial focus is heading: human agents supported by AI agents rather than replaced by them.
This provider suits companies serving Spanish speakers in Colombia, Spain or the US Hispanic market, and buyers who value a long domestic track record. It is less of a specialist in English-first US programs than some nearshore firms on this list, so test English capacity directly if that is your main need.
Nexa BPO is the trading name of Ventas y Servicios S.A., headquartered in Bogota. Its English homepage says the company has more than 7,500 workers connected across more than 16 sites, and frames itself as a partner focused on customer experience rather than a plain contact center. Testimonials on the site come from clients in financial services, pension administration, health and telecommunications.
The service lines are collections, customer care, sales and retention, back office and social media management. Nexa also sells a set of in-house tools: Nexabots for automated conversations, Nexalytics for analytics, Nexaplus as its CRM, Nexa Omni for omnichannel handling and Nexa Sales. That mix is typical of the larger Colombian operators, which compete on technology as well as labor cost. The company publishes a personal data policy and runs an ethics line, both relevant for buyers in regulated industries.
Nexa BPO is a good fit for collections, retention and sales programs, particularly for banks, pension funds and telecoms that want a Colombian operator with its own tooling. US companies should ask how many of the 16+ sites run English-language programs and request sample call recordings before committing volume.
Konecta is a Spanish customer experience group with more than 109,000 people in more than 28 countries working in over 40 languages, and Colombia is one of its largest operations. According to Konecta’s own May 2026 announcement, Konecta Colombia runs critical operations for more than 100 corporate clients with more than 23,000 business process experts, and won six excellence awards from the Colombian BPO association Bpro at the 2026 Customer Experience Summit.
The award categories show what the Colombian unit sells. Best export management recognized a multi-country hub that exports operational intelligence and analytics from Colombia to other markets. Best data analytics strategy went to a Customer Experience Monitoring Center that uses generative AI and conversational analytics to read emotion, friction and contact reasons in real time. Other awards covered social selling, omnichannel sales, human capital management (with a reported 45% faster hiring) and an NPS-driven retention program. The group also sells Kolibri, its AI platform.
Konecta suits enterprises that need scale, Spanish and English coverage and serious analytics, and that are comfortable working with a global group. It is one of two multinationals on this list. Smaller buyers may get more senior attention from a mid-sized Colombian firm, so weigh account size against the depth of tooling.
Atento started operations in Colombia in 2000 and lists six centers on its Colombia page: Royal, Telares and Elemento in Bogota, Industriales in Medellin, and Parque Olaya and Tres Nevados in Pereira. The Pereira sites matter for buyers looking beyond the two largest cities, since secondary cities usually offer steadier staffing and lower attrition pressure. Atento works in Spanish and English in Colombia.
Its Colombian client base is concentrated in telecommunications, banking and financial services, insurance, health care and public administration. The page lists current certifications for information security management and quality management, the ISO 26000 social responsibility guide, and a run of awards including a gold CX Interaction Award for human capital management, a Customer Value Leadership Award for Colombia’s CX outsourcing market and recognition for job creation in Risaralda. Atento describes itself as one of the country’s largest employers and has been recognized by the Great Place to Work Institute.
Atento is a sensible choice for high-volume customer care, sales and collections in regulated industries, especially if you want Pereira as a delivery option. It is the second multinational on this list. As with any large operator, ask for the specific site, team leader ratio and attrition figures for programs similar to yours.
Solvo Global was founded in 2017 when, in the company’s words, one of its CEOs fell in love with Colombian culture and decided to connect Latin American talent with North American companies. It opened its first office in Medellin, added a second Medellin office in 2019, then another Medellin office and a Barranquilla office in 2020. Today its locations page lists seven Colombian cities: Medellin, Bogota, Barranquilla, Bucaramanga, Armenia, Ibague and Cali, plus operations in Argentina, the Dominican Republic, Honduras, Guatemala and Chihuahua in Mexico.
The model is closer to dedicated staffing than to a shared contact center. Solvo recruits, hires and trains employees who work full time for one client, and the client manages their daily work. Roles covered include accounting, back office, collections, customer service, healthcare recruiting, IT, legal, logistics and sales. Solvo also offers AI-powered tools for its staff covering appointments, card payments, password resets, order look-up, bank reconciliations, data entry and accounts payable. It quotes average savings of 40% to 60% against comparable US hires.
Solvo suits US small and mid-sized companies that want to add a few bilingual professionals at a time and keep direct control of the work. If you need a fully managed program with SLAs, quality teams and workforce management, confirm what Solvo provides beyond recruitment and HR.
BPM Consulting is a Colombian contact center and BPO company with more than 20 years of experience. It runs a dedicated nearshore line for US companies, supported by operations centers in Colombia, and works through BPMe Technologies LLC, its strategic partner in the United States, which simplifies contracting for US buyers. The nearshore offer covers customer service, sales, collections, support desks and back office, delivered by bilingual staff on omnichannel technology with generative AI built into the operation.
Beyond agents, BPM sells several software products that are useful in the Colombian market. Be AgentIA is a conversational AI service for 24/7 automated support. FEEL is a cloud platform for electronic invoicing and electronic payroll that follows the rules of DIAN, Colombia’s tax authority. ELP is a virtual payments gateway. For companies with Colombian subsidiaries, combining contact center work with compliant e-invoicing and payments from one vendor can reduce the number of local suppliers to manage.
BPM Consulting fits mid-market companies that want a Colombian nearshore BPO partner of moderate size, with a US contracting entity and optional AI and finance tools. Its website does not list delivery cities, so ask where your team would sit and request current certifications.
RAM BPO builds dedicated nearshore teams in Medellin for US companies. Its office is on Calle 9 in Medellin, and every role it staffs requires B2 or higher English. Team members, whom the company calls The Ramones, work exclusively for one client, in the client’s time zone and processes, while RAM handles recruiting, HR, payroll, benefits, legal compliance, office space, equipment and wellbeing.
The numbers RAM publishes are specific: average agent tenure of more than two years against what it calls 40% to 60% annual churn in the industry, go-live in 7 to 10 business days from kickoff, and 25% to 30% all-in savings compared with US hiring. Its longest client partnership has run for four years, with more than USD 3.3 million managed for that single client. The company says its model is built for logistics and technology companies, and it markets after-hours coverage as one of the problems it solves.
RAM BPO suits US small and mid-sized businesses in logistics, SaaS and e-commerce that want a small, stable bilingual team in Medellin rather than seats in a large shared floor. Larger buyers should ask how the model scales past a few dozen people and what quality assurance comes standard.
Bogota has the largest pool of experienced agents and supervisors and the most providers serving banks and public bodies. Medellin is home to many nearshore specialists built around US clients, and providers on this list such as RAM BPO and Solvo Global started there. Pereira, Barranquilla, Cali, Bucaramanga and other secondary cities can offer steadier staffing for long-running programs. Ask each provider which site your team would use, not just which cities it operates in.
If you plan to visit, check flight times from your US hub. Bogota and Medellin both have direct routes to several US cities, which makes quarterly business reviews and calibration sessions on site realistic.
Bilingual customer service is the main reason US buyers choose Colombia, but English levels vary a lot between sites and programs. Ask for CEFR test results for the proposed team, the minimum level the provider hires at (B2 is a common floor for US-facing work), and recorded calls from a comparable program. Run a short pilot before signing for full volume.
Match certifications to your data. Card payments need PCI DSS, health data for US patients needs a HIPAA-compliant process, and most enterprise security teams will ask for ISO 27001 or a SOC 2 report. Colombian providers also operate under Law 1581 of 2012, the country’s personal data protection law, so ask how cross-border transfers of your customer data are documented. Business continuity certification such as ISO 22301 is worth asking about for critical programs.
Large operators such as Emtelco, Konecta and Atento run managed programs with their own supervisors, workforce management and quality teams. Firms such as Solvo Global and RAM BPO place dedicated staff who take direction from you. Managed programs suit high-volume queues with clear SLAs. Dedicated teams suit smaller, complex work where product knowledge matters more than queue efficiency. Many call center companies in Colombia now offer both models, so ask which one your quote assumes.
Colombian providers quote per hour, per agent per month, per interaction or per outcome for collections. Ask for a fully loaded rate that includes supervision, quality, technology and management fees, and separate pricing for any AI tools. Our guides to call center outsourcing cost and BPO pricing models explain what should be in the rate, and the BPO RFP checklist helps you compare proposals on the same terms.
The BPO companies in Colombia on this list cover the full range of buyer needs. Emtelco, Konecta, Atento, Nexa BPO and Americas BPS bring scale and automation for large Spanish and English programs. GroupCOS and Outsourcing S.A.S. BIC combine long domestic track records with offers designed for US and Spanish clients. Solvo Global, BPM Consulting and RAM BPO give smaller US companies a direct route to dedicated bilingual teams.
Start with the city, language level and certifications your program needs, run a paid pilot, and compare fully loaded rates. If you are also weighing Central America, our lists of BPO companies in Mexico and call center companies in Costa Rica cover the other main nearshore options.
