Manufacturers come to Shopify with problems most storefront agencies never see. A product line can carry thousands of variants, the same item sells at three different prices depending on who is buying, and the ERP is the source of truth for stock, pricing and credit. A good-looking theme does not solve any of that.
The Shopify experts below have shipped real work for companies that make their own products: writing-instrument makers, irrigation manufacturers, hardware brands, wallpaper mills and toolmakers. Each agency was checked against its own website, and every entry names the manufacturer clients and the specific builds behind its place on the list.
If your project is mainly about wholesale accounts rather than manufacturing, our list of Shopify agencies for B2B and wholesale ecommerce covers that side of the market.

Realm has been building websites since 2007 and has worked only on Shopify since 2012, which makes it one of the earliest firms listed in the Shopify Experts directory. The Minnesota team has delivered more than 250 Shopify stores, logged close to 79,000 project hours and was named a top Shopify agency by Clutch every year from 2013 to 2019. Up to 80 percent of its new work comes from client referrals.
Its manufacturing work is the clearest reason it leads this list. For Cool Snow Globes, a Vermont manufacturer, Realm split the existing site into separate wholesale and retail storefronts, redesigned each for its own buyer and migrated the data across, and the client reported an immediate increase in sales volume. Byers’ Choice, the Pennsylvania maker of handcrafted collectible figures, has kept Realm on through multiple redesigns.
The same team handles custom checkouts and Shopify Plus apps, ERP and fulfillment integrations, tax nexus setups and migrations from Magento, BigCommerce, Volusion and WordPress. Realm suits manufacturers that want a small senior team to build and maintain both their trade and consumer channels.
SDG has been building on Shopify since 2006, holds Shopify Platinum Partner status and describes itself as Shopify’s original enterprise partner. It works from Los Angeles with a presence in San Francisco and New York.
Its Shopify B2B page names Mattel, Revlon, Columbia, prAna, Decathlon and Keurig Dr Pepper among the brands it has worked with. The build list is written for manufacturers who sell to retailers: company accounts with multiple buyers, customer-specific catalogs and pricing, case-pack and minimum order rules, and approval workflows. On the integration side SDG names NetSuite, Acumatica, Microsoft Dynamics 365, SAP and Oracle.
SDG is the strongest option here for large consumer-goods manufacturers that need wholesale and direct-to-consumer running on one platform.
Praella is a Chicago agency that reached Shopify Platinum Partner status in March 2026. Its manufacturing case study is unusually specific.
Merrill Manufacturing has made water well and irrigation products for 75 years and holds 23 patents. Praella moved it from NetSuite SuiteCommerce to Shopify Plus, built native B2B behind a login for the distributor network, and kept a simpler direct-to-consumer path alongside it. Because most of Merrill’s buyers arrive knowing exactly which part they want, the team built a SKU-first search, and it migrated tens of thousands of customer and order history records in the process.
Praella fits established manufacturers moving off an ageing B2B platform who sell through distributors but also want a consumer channel.
Shero Commerce was founded in 2010, is a Shopify Platinum Partner with more than 65 staff, and publishes a dedicated Shopify for B2B manufacturers page rather than folding the topic into general development.
Its manufacturer roster is broad. For Justrite Safety Group it merged four Magento stores into one multi-store Shopify setup. For STX, the lacrosse and hockey equipment maker, it moved the business from Adobe Commerce to Shopify with B2B and direct sales on one store. Snyder Performance Engineering cut back-office admin by 25 percent after its build. Shero also lists dealer portals with tiered pricing, Net 15 to Net 90 terms, and NetSuite, SAP and Dynamics connections through Celigo or Patchworks.
It is a strong pick for manufacturers with a dealer network and a Magento platform they want to leave.
Latori has worked on Shopify since 2013 from Wuppertal and Stuttgart, and is a Shopify Platinum Partner, one of only three in the DACH region by its own count.
Two manufacturer builds stand out. For Lamy, the German writing-instrument maker, Latori rebuilt the global store on Shopify Plus with a custom headless Hydrogen front end and live engraving previews. For e.GO Mobile, the electric car maker, it built a vehicle configurator and a dedicated dealer portal. Its integration work covers SAP, Microsoft Dynamics and Akeneo PIM.
Latori is the natural choice for European manufacturers that sell through dealers and need product configuration on the storefront.
Iggy is a Shopify Plus Partner with offices in Stockholm, Norrköping, Helsinki and Vaasa, and more than 60 delivered Shopify projects.
Its manufacturing showcase is Boråstapeter, the Swedish wallpaper maker. Iggy put 2,300 trade companies, more than 250 B2B catalogs, 22 markets and six currencies into a single Shopify Plus store, then added a mobile print-on-demand wallpaper configurator. Embellence Group, Cole & Son and Pappelina are also on its B2B client list. On integration, Iggy works with Nordic ERPs such as Fortnox, Visma, Jeeves, IFS and Pyramid as well as NetSuite, Business Central and SAP.
For a manufacturer selling to retailers across Europe, Iggy combines the multi-market experience with local time zone support.
Ambaum has been on Shopify since 2016 and holds Shopify Premier Partner status. It works as a distributed team and positions itself as engineering-led.
Its best manufacturer example is RAM Mounts, the maker of a modular mounting system with around 5,000 parts. Ambaum rebuilt the store on Shopify Plus with a mount configurator that asks for vehicle, device and mounting location, and built metafield-driven product pages so the catalog stays manageable. For Westinghouse it delivered a custom 2.0 theme and a catalog structure that can grow, with navigation out to licensee partners.
Ambaum suits hardware and component manufacturers whose real problem is helping buyers find the right part among thousands.
Snapshot Design is a Shopify Plus Partner that is also a Celigo Partner and a NetSuite Alliance Partner, which tells you where its strength lies.
Beno J. Gundlach Co. has made flooring tools since 1927. Snapshot moved its B2B business from a Django build to Shopify Plus, set up a two-way NetSuite sync through Celigo that creates Shopify B2B companies straight from NetSuite distributor records, and built a store locator covering about 700 distributor locations. Pricing stays hidden from anyone who is not an approved customer.
For manufacturers who run the business on NetSuite and sell mainly through distributors, Snapshot is one of the most focused options available.
Electric Eye was founded in Columbus, Ohio in 2016 by Chase Clymer and Shawn Khemsurov, works only on Shopify and has launched more than 100 stores.
Its manufacturing clients are mostly gear makers. For Gibraltar Hardware, which makes drum thrones, racks and pedals, it built a custom Shopify theme and new B2B capabilities so the brand could grow beyond direct sales. It moved outdoor gear maker Sunday Afternoons onto a Shopify 2.0 theme, and built a team-kit builder on the Storefront API for the hockey brand Warroad.
Electric Eye is a good fit for product brands that sell mostly direct and want to open a wholesale channel without a heavy enterprise project.
Ethercycle is a Shopify Plus Partner in Skokie, Illinois, and has worked only on Shopify since 2014.
Montana Knife Company makes its knives entirely in the United States and sells many of them in limited drops. Ethercycle built it a custom Shopify 2.0 theme and a VIP tier program run on Shopify Flow, and November 2023 sales came in at four times the previous monthly average. It also built a custom theme for Condition 1, the retail arm of case maker Royal Case Company, where the client reports every metric improved and the project paid for itself within the first month.
Ethercycle suits makers whose sales come in bursts and whose store has to hold up on launch day.
Ask for two case studies from companies that make their own products. Storefront work for a retailer is not the same job: manufacturers carry variant-heavy catalogs, price lists per customer type and products that need technical specs to sell. An agency that has done this will talk about catalog structure before it talks about design.
Some manufacturers run trade and consumer buyers from one store with customer-specific pricing. Others, like Cool Snow Globes, do better with two storefronts built for two different buyers. A good agency will recommend one approach for your situation and explain what it costs to maintain.
Stock, pricing and credit usually live in the ERP. Ask which systems the agency has integrated, whether through direct APIs or middleware such as Celigo, and what happens when the sync fails. A named list of NetSuite, SAP, Acumatica or Dynamics projects is worth more than a promise to integrate with anything.
Manufacturers lose sales when buyers cannot find the right size, fit or SKU. Configurators, SKU-first search and good filtering often matter more than the homepage, so ask to see how the agency solved product discovery for a catalog like yours.
Manufacturing catalogs change constantly with new lines, discontinued parts and price updates. Ask who will handle that work, whether you get direct access to developers, and what a support retainer looks like.
Manufacturers have more choice on Shopify than ever, but the agencies that can handle trade pricing, ERP data and complex catalogs are a much smaller group than those that build attractive storefronts. The ten firms above have published proof of that work with named manufacturer clients.
Start with your sales model: dealer network, direct to consumer or both. Then shortlist two or three agencies whose case studies match it. For larger programs, our roundup of Shopify Plus agencies is a useful companion.
