    Leader Andrew Farhat

“My conviction has always been that the Gospel is not simply a program a church runs. It is the center that gives shape to preaching, family ministry, education, Life Groups, and mission.”

Andrew Farhat’s path to pastoral leadership was shaped by engineering, personal conversion, theological study, and practical ministry experience. Born in 1980 in Seattle, Washington, to Lebanese immigrant parents who had fled poverty and civil war, Andrew Farhat grew up in the Lake City neighborhood in a family shaped by resilience, discipline, and work ethic.

As a young adult, Andrew Farhat experienced a period of personal searching. Around the year 2000, after difficult turning points that included a DUI citation as a minor and a serious car accident, he began attending The Inn at University Presbyterian Church in Seattle. Through mentorship, apologetics, and a men’s group studying the Gospel of John, his Christian faith took root. God gave Andrew a new beginning, and faith.

Andrew Farhat completed a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering at the University of Washington in 2002, then spent three years working on U.S. Navy contracts in Bremerton, Washington. In December 2004, he married Daisy, and in 2005 the couple relocated to St. Louis so he could attend Concordia Seminary. He earned his Master of Divinity in 2009, with particular academic strength in Greek and Historical Theology.

His first pastoral call placed him at St. Paul Lutheran Church and School in Roseburg, Oregon. The congregation was facing a financial deficit, a fractured elder structure, and a legal dispute with a former teacher. Within a year, the finances had been stabilized, the elder structure had been reformed, and the dispute had been resolved through direct conversation and mutual reconciliation.

In 2018, Andrew Farhat received a Divine Call to serve as campus pastor at the Wash Park site of St. John’s Lutheran Church and School in Denver. When the Lead Pastor accepted a call elsewhere in 2021, the congregation called Andrew Farhat into the Lead Pastor role.

Today, Andrew Farhat helps guide a ministry with two campuses, a K-8 school founded in 1882, more than 300 students, 15 city-wide Life Groups, mission partnerships in 10 countries, and more than 500,000 people reached annually with the Gospel. His pastoral philosophy centers on three integrated commitments: Gospel proclamation, family discipleship, and structured outreach.

From 2022 to 2024, Andrew Farhat co-hosted Transformed with Daisy, a podcast focused on faith, family, and transformation that produced approximately 90 episodes. A new five-minute daily biblical encouragement podcast is planned for 2026. He lives in Denver with Daisy and their four children.
