Chun Ju Chang is a cancer researcher and academic leader known for her disciplined approach to science and her commitment to training the next generation of researchers. Raised in Taiwan, she developed an early interest in understanding how disease works and how scientific thinking can improve human health.
She earned her PhD from the University of California, Los Angeles, where she built a strong foundation in research and critical thinking. She later completed postdoctoral training at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, where she received multiple awards recognising her scientific productivity and research excellence.
Chang went on to serve as an Associate Professor at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center in New York. There, she expanded her research in cancer biology while mentoring students and early-career scientists. Her work focused not only on advancing scientific knowledge but also on building strong research habits within her teams.
She now serves as a Professor at China Medical University in Taiwan. In this role, she leads research initiatives while teaching and guiding students. Her approach emphasises careful data analysis, structured experimentation, and clear communication.
