The best reverse recruiters for executives do more than send applications. For director, VP and C-suite candidates they rebuild the executive narrative, map the decision makers at target companies, and run outreach to hiring leaders, private equity contacts and executive search consultants in the candidate’s name, while the candidate stays focused on the current role. A reverse recruiter cannot place you in a confidential retained search, but a good one can make sure the people running those searches, and the leaders who hire directly, know you are available.
This list includes only services with a genuine senior or executive offering, plus executive career management firms that include a done-for-you search component. Every firm was checked against its own website for the seniority it serves, the work it does on the client’s behalf, and how it prices that work, and the ranking reflects fit for senior candidates rather than volume. Read our guide to what reverse recruiting is and whether it is worth it first, and use the executive search hub to see where candidate-paid help sits next to retained search.

iCareerSolutions describes itself as an executive reverse recruiting firm led by a former executive recruiter, and its service is built for professionals and executives from managers through the C-suite. The firm lists an office at 260 Madison Avenue in New York and says it has been in business for 16 years. Its pages put the emphasis on executive positioning: C-suite resumes framed around enterprise impact, P&L ownership and change leadership, with an executive bio available.
For a senior candidate, the most useful feature is accountability. A named team runs the search end to end, maps hiring managers and decision makers, writes and sends targeted messages to recruiters and hiring leaders, and submits approved applications with follow-ups. Activity targets are set at kickoff and reported every week, covering accepted introductions, targeted applications, outreach messages and interviews scheduled. The fee is a flat monthly amount, capped at four payments, and is never a percentage of salary.
Find My Profession works across levels, but its record with senior clients is central to how it presents itself, and its resume writing arm has dedicated C-level and executive tracks. What makes it relevant for executives is that outreach is done for you: the team researches hiring managers and key decision makers at target companies and writes and sends personalized messages on the client’s behalf, alongside applications the client approves.
Senior candidates also get structure that is hard to replicate alone. The firm assigns a team rather than a single person, drawing on reverse recruiters, managers, a certified interview coach and a certified salary negotiation specialist, with monthly interview coaching and unlimited messaging with a career coach. The firm’s own cost table shows that higher earners usually pay less overall under its flat monthly fee than under its success fee option, which is worth modeling before you sign.
Top Prospect Careers states that its reverse recruiting services are ideal for director to C-level professionals, and its two reverse recruiters personally run each search. That small-team model appeals to executives who want the same senior person handling their search every week rather than a rotating pool of assistants.
For senior candidates the key part of its method is networking with executive search firms, headhunters, recruiting companies and staffing organizations on the client’s behalf, in addition to weekly tailored applications sent from a shared email account. The team says it has more than 12 years of experience across executive career coaching, reverse recruiting, interview coaching and executive resume writing. Its published pricing includes a performance-aligned option with a success fee capped at a fixed dollar amount, which limits the cost of a higher executive salary.
My Personal Recruiter specializes in executives, directors and senior professionals earning $100K or more. It was founded by Adam Fineberg in 2023 and is based in Miami, serving clients nationwide. Its executive offer combines a reverse recruiter who has connections to executive recruiting firms with a certified career coach who specializes in C-suite and senior leadership transitions, plus executive resume and LinkedIn optimization.
The firm frames its work around visibility with headhunter teams, staffing firms and decision makers, and a dedicated customer success manager supports each client. Its pricing page promises continued service at no extra charge if you have not received a job offer after six months of active participation. Plan prices were not displayed on that page when we checked, so expect to discuss cost on a consultation.
Ascend5 runs an executive job search program, which it calls reverse recruiting, for leaders earning $200K and above. Its EXPEDITE program is aimed at executives who want to increase compensation leverage or access advisory, board or fractional opportunities, and it combines career capital mapping, executive coaching for branding and interview preparation, and recruitment marketing technology.
The done-for-you element is outreach: the firm says it contacts targeted leaders, private equity firms, executive search firms, in-house senior recruiters and alumni networks on the client’s behalf. Clients can choose reverse recruiters for a full-service search or a group coaching format. Ascend5 also offers executive search, executive resume and LinkedIn development and executive outplacement, and its site carries a copyright line dating back to 2016. Pricing is not published.
Browning Associates, which operates at executivejobsearch.net, is an executive career management firm in Providence, Rhode Island with more than 30 years in business. It focuses on executives targeting roles from $250K to $1.5M and above. Each client works with a dedicated career consultant, a writing staff and administrative support to build and promote a personal brand for the search.
Its process page sets out a custom networking plan that connects clients to decision makers, executive level interview coaching, and support in negotiating compensation, scope and onboarding terms. This is a more consultative model than a pure reverse recruiter, so expect to stay involved in networking yourself. It suits senior leaders who want a long-running career management relationship rather than a high-volume application service.
Lim Placement is a Seattle-founded agency that works with clients nationwide and says it has helped more than 100 clients. Its site positions the service for director and VP level candidates who want a team to take on most of the heavy lifting in a search, and its client stories include senior sales and revenue leaders.
The team builds your resume, LinkedIn profile and a portfolio website, then starts applying. What distinguishes it for senior candidates is the payment structure: one setup fee to start, which comes with a guarantee of nine qualifying interviews or a full refund, and the largest part of the fee due only after you are hired, split into milestones, with no retainer or monthly bills. The firm says most clients invest in the mid-thousands in total and walks through exact pricing on a call.
Career Lander’s 60-Day Placement Accelerator is the reason it appears on an executive list. The program is designed for professionals targeting roles from about $100,000 to $500,000 and above, and it is priced as a single published total rather than an open-ended subscription.
Within the program, a dedicated career search manager who is a former recruiter finds roles, applies and networks for you. The team identifies the right hiring manager, recruiter and decision maker at target companies, sends direct personalized email and LinkedIn outreach, and manages responses daily. A dedicated executive career coach runs mock interviews and behavioral interview coaching, and weekly strategy calls and help with negotiation scripts are included. Senior clients cited on the site include enterprise sales leaders and director level hires.
WeAreCareer’s Career Exec+ program works with senior individual contributors, managers, directors and VPs who want to move into better, more senior roles within three to six months. The New York based company says it has helped more than 600 senior professionals pivot using one-to-one coaching and done-for-you job applications.
Each client gets a dedicated career mentor, three coaching sessions and ongoing Slack access for career advice, while the team handles applications. The program advertises a job offer or a minimum of 10 unique interviews, or the team keeps applying for free. It fits directors and VPs who see the search as a repositioning exercise and want coaching on narrative as much as volume. It is less suited to C-suite candidates, whom the program page does not mention.
OptimHire, a San Francisco company, offers an Executive Concierge service that it describes as done-for-you reverse recruiting for executives. It is sold as a single 30-day campaign rather than a monthly retainer, which makes it the lowest-commitment option on this list.
During the campaign a dedicated human career strategist handles the search, with a resume and LinkedIn makeover, 50 targeted outbound pitches a week, direct introductions to your top five target companies, and weekly progress reports with interview preparation. The firm says its team includes former recruiters and career coaches. Thirty days is short for most senior searches, so this works best as a way to test the model or to add momentum to a search that is already under way.
Ask for the seniority mix of current clients and examples of recent searches at your level and in your function. A service that mainly places individual contributors will not have the language, target lists or contacts a VP or C-suite search needs.
At executive level, outreach matters more than applications. Ask who writes the messages, who sends them and from which account, and how they approach executive search consultants. A reverse recruiter cannot enter you into a confidential retained mandate, so pair any service with your own relationships with the best executive search firms in your sector, and read how to get noticed by executive recruiters.
Success fees are typically calculated on first-year salary, so they grow quickly at executive pay levels. Compare a flat monthly fee, a capped package and a success fee on your own target salary, and check whether monthly payments are credited against any success fee. Our guide to executive search fees explains how employer-paid fees work, which is useful context for negotiation.
Outreach only works if what a recipient finds supports it. Before any campaign starts, make sure your resume tells an impact story using our executive resume guide, and that your LinkedIn profile and search results are consistent.
Agree activity targets and a reporting rhythm at the start. Weekly reports on introductions, outreach, applications and interviews make it easier to judge whether to continue, adjust targets or stop.
Reverse recruiting is still a young field, and only a minority of providers are genuinely equipped for executive searches. The firms ranked highest here combine senior positioning, outreach in the candidate’s name and clear reporting, while executive career management firms such as Browning Associates and Ascend5 offer a more consultative route. Whichever you choose, keep building your own relationships with search consultants, because many senior roles are still filled through them.
