Account-based marketing has moved from a pilot program that marketing ran on the side to a core way that B2B companies plan pipeline. Instead of chasing lead volume, an ABM program picks a defined set of target accounts, studies the buying group inside each one, and coordinates marketing, sales and customer success around those accounts. When it works, deal sizes go up, sales cycles get shorter, and marketing can point to revenue from named accounts rather than form fills.
The problem is that ABM is hard to run well in-house. It needs clean account data, intent signals, creative that speaks to specific roles, paid media that can target named companies, and a sales team that actually follows up. That is why many teams hire an account based marketing agency, either to run the whole program or to work alongside an internal team on strategy, plays and measurement.
This list is written for CMOs, demand generation leaders and revenue leaders at B2B technology, professional services and industrial companies who are shortlisting an ABM agency for 2027. We last covered this category in our 2026 edition of the top ABM agencies, and this is a fresh look with new research.
To choose the ten firms below, we reviewed each agency’s own website and public records, looked for ABM as a defined service rather than a buzzword, and favored firms that publish named clients, case results, partner credentials or a documented method. We did not accept payment for placement, and no firm is pinned. Where a firm did not publish a figure, we left it out.

MomentumABM is one of the firms most closely associated with account-based marketing as a discipline. Founded in 2011 and headquartered in the UK, it built its reputation on strategic ABM for large B2B companies, and it acquired ITSMA, the B2B marketing research and training organization, roughly five years before its own sale. In September 2025 Accenture announced it had acquired MomentumABM, which had about 90 specialists at the time, and the firm now operates as part of Accenture Song.
The current offer goes beyond campaign execution. MomentumABM works on customer growth strategy and account prioritization, buyer journey mapping, positioning and thought leadership, key account and major pursuit programs, and the revenue planning and measurement frameworks that sit underneath ABM. It also covers operating models and commercial enablement, which matters when ABM touches sales coverage and account planning, not just marketing.
The firm says it has run more than 600 B2B growth engagements and tracks over 2,000 B2B buyers through its Client Buying Index research. Its work is concentrated in financial services, technology and professional services, where account lists are short and deal values are high.
Best for: Enterprise B2B companies with a small number of high-value accounts that want strategic ABM, pursuit support and organizational change, and that are comfortable working with a firm inside a global consultancy.
Inverta is a B2B growth marketing agency that puts account-based marketing at the center of its offer. Its ABM service is described as full-service and proactive, covering strategy, planning, execution and plays, and it sits alongside campaign planning, demand generation, content, AI marketing and martech advisory. Clutch lists the firm’s headquarters in Newtown Square, Pennsylvania, and the firm cites two decades of experience.
What makes Inverta useful for many buyers is its focus on fixing the operations behind ABM. A common reason programs stall is that the target account list, the technology stack and the handoff to sales are not aligned. Inverta’s martech practice handles evaluation, recommendation and implementation, so the agency can work on the plumbing as well as the campaigns. It supports ABM platforms such as Demandbase as a technology partner.
The firm publishes named results. Procore drove 75% of its outbound pipeline from ABM, Sysdig increased marketing-sourced contract sizes by 36%, and Actian reorganized its marketing team around revenue with Inverta’s help. Those are the kinds of outcomes that tie ABM to sales results rather than engagement scores.
Best for: Mid-market and enterprise technology companies that already tried ABM, did not get the pipeline they expected, and want an agency that can rework strategy, plays and martech together.
Transmission is a large B2B marketing agency with more than 250 employees and offices in London, San Francisco, New York, Dallas, Sydney, Singapore, Delhi and Wroclaw. Its account-based offer is branded ABX, which the agency positions as a way to build stronger relationships and grow share across high-value target accounts. The firm has operated under other names in the past, and today it describes itself as the largest global independent B2B marketing agency.
Scale is the main reason to look at Transmission. ABM programs for global brands often need campaigns in several regions and languages, coordinated media buying and strong creative, and an agency with offices across three continents can staff that. Its published work includes campaigns for AutoStore and for PC and chip platforms such as Windows 11 Pro and Snapdragon X Elite.
The agency also has a long list of recent awards, including Best Marketing Agency of the Year (North America) at the B2B Marketing Elevation Awards 2026 and a Gold for Best B2B Campaign at the REGGIES Catalyst 2026. It holds ISO/IEC 27001:2022 and ISO/IEC 42001:2023 certifications, which helps with procurement at large enterprises that review security and AI governance.
Best for: Global B2B brands that need ABX programs across several regions, with creative and media handled by one agency.
strategicabm is a UK-registered agency that does one thing: account-based marketing. It offers four ways to engage. It can run end-to-end ABM delivery, co-deliver as an extension of a client’s marketing team, run ABM training and workshops, or provide access to ABM OS, an AI-assisted ABM platform that is currently on a waitlist. Its programs follow a six-step framework it calls the Modern ABM Journey.
The flexible model is the main draw. Many in-house teams want to keep ownership of ABM but need help with account selection, insight work and the first few programs. Co-delivery and training let a company build its own capability rather than outsource it permanently. The firm says its framework comes from hundreds of ABM programs.
Its client list is heavily weighted toward technology and industrial firms, including SAP, Cloudflare, AVEVA, Acxiom, GlobalSign and Getac. strategicabm also cites a Forrester 2025 B2B Program of the Year award and holds HubSpot Platinum Partner, Google Partner and Nexus Gold accreditation.
Best for: B2B technology companies, especially in Europe, that want an ABM specialist to co-deliver programs and train their team rather than run everything externally.
Directive is a B2B marketing agency founded in 2013 that focuses on what it calls customer generation. It lists six locations, including Orange County, Austin, New York City, Mexico City, London and Toronto, and more than 100 strategists. Its ABM service is aimed at mid-market and enterprise SaaS and technology companies, and it runs full-funnel programs across LinkedIn, paid search, programmatic display, social and email.
Directive’s ABM work leans on paid media and measurement. Core deliverables include ICP validation using firmographic and technographic data, trigger-based messaging, shared KPIs between sales and marketing, CRM integration, and attribution reporting that ties campaigns to pipeline. The agency says it measures programs against SQLs, pipeline velocity and revenue instead of clicks.
For a named example, Directive ran a LinkedIn-based ABM campaign for TigerConnect that drove a 31% quarter-over-quarter increase in paid leads. The firm also reports that 65% of its revenue comes from returning clients. Teams that already run strong LinkedIn programs may also want to compare Directive with the firms in our guide to LinkedIn Ads agencies for B2B.
Best for: SaaS and tech companies that want ABM driven by paid media, with tight reporting on pipeline from target accounts.
Demand Spring has worked with B2B marketing leaders since 2012 and has locations in Ottawa, Ontario and Boston, Massachusetts. Account-based marketing sits in its Revenue Growth and Performance practice, next to lead management, demand programs and marketing operations. The firm is a Marketo Preferred Partner and has certified senior practitioners across Marketo, HubSpot and Salesforce.
That operations depth is the reason to consider Demand Spring. ABM depends on routing, scoring, account matching and reporting in the marketing automation platform and the CRM, and many agencies treat that as someone else’s problem. Demand Spring can design the program and build the lead and account management that supports it, which is valuable for companies running Marketo and Salesforce at scale.
Its client roster includes enterprise names such as VMware, Akamai, Rapid7, Veeam, CyberArk, Forrester, Dun & Bradstreet and Iron Mountain. The firm reports an NPS of 94, more than 100 clients served and a 70% referral rate.
Best for: Enterprise and upper mid-market companies on Marketo and Salesforce that want ABM and the marketing operations behind it from one partner.
The ABM Agency is an Atlanta-based firm that says it has helped clients close deals with account-based approaches since 2009. Its service list covers 1:many, 1:few and 1:1 ABM campaigns, pilot programs, account-based demand and lead generation, executive alignment, ABM platform management and 360-degree account reporting. It also offers sales enablement training, ABM Center of Excellence consulting and team augmentation.
Speed is a big part of the pitch. The agency says pilot campaigns can launch within 21 days in most cases and that its ABM Velocity offer builds 1:1 campaigns in about two weeks. For teams that need to prove ABM to leadership before committing a full budget, a short, contained pilot is often the right first step.
The firm serves industrial manufacturing, technology, SaaS, cybersecurity, medical and pharmaceutical, and financial services companies, and says it has run hundreds of 1:few and 1:1 campaigns. It does not publish named clients on its homepage, so ask for case studies that match your industry during evaluation.
Best for: Companies that want to test ABM quickly with a defined pilot, or add 1:1 programs for a short list of strategic accounts.
Ironpaper is a B2B growth agency founded in New York City in 2003, with about 70 people and a team distributed across the US. Account-based marketing is one of its core marketing services, grouped with demand generation and lead generation, and it offers ABM campaigns, deal-based ABM and HubSpot-based ABM.
Deal-based ABM is the interesting part. Instead of only targeting accounts at the top of the funnel, Ironpaper also runs programs around open opportunities, so marketing supports sales on deals that are already in motion. Because Ironpaper is a HubSpot Platinum Certified Agency Partner, it can run those programs inside HubSpot’s ABM tools, using target account properties, buying roles and reporting. Companies weighing HubSpot partners can also see our list of top HubSpot partner agencies.
Published results include an 86% increase in MQLs over six months for Solartis, and named clients include Steelcase, SiteX and Mobilewalla. Ironpaper is also a Databox Premier Certified Agency Partner and a Google Partner.
Best for: Mid-market B2B companies on HubSpot that want ABM tied to active deals as well as new account targeting.
The Smarketers is a B2B marketing agency headquartered in Hyderabad, India, that started out in 2015. It combines account-based marketing with inbound marketing, HubSpot services, content, demand generation and marketing automation, and it pitches ABM programs that fit within client budgets rather than only large enterprise retainers.
Its strongest ABM example is a multi-channel program across the SAP partner ecosystem for Globpar, which the agency reports reached 70% engagement and a 41% acceptance rate. It also describes an ABM program for a Fortune 100 technology company in India that engaged more than 100 enterprise accounts. The firm won an ITSMA Marketing Excellence Gold Award for an ABM program, which is a meaningful credential in this category.
The Smarketers reports more than 250 clients. For companies selling into India, the Middle East or wider APAC, or selling through partner ecosystems, a team with experience in those markets and lower cost structures can stretch an ABM budget further.
Best for: B2B technology companies selling through partner ecosystems or into India, the Middle East and APAC that want ABM at a moderate budget.
Gripped is a London-based B2B marketing agency founded in 2017 by Steve Eveleigh and Ben Crouch, with about 25 staff. It works with SaaS, AI and technology companies and has served more than 160 of them. Account-based marketing is one of its core services: the team builds target account lists and buyer personas, then runs multi-channel campaigns aimed at named accounts, mainly for larger deals that generic campaigns are unlikely to win.
Gripped pairs ABM with paid search and paid social, which is useful for UK SaaS firms that need demand capture and named-account programs from the same team. Published results include a 108% year-on-year increase in sales opportunities from paid search and social and £1.3m of new pipeline created in one quarter.
The agency is open about cost. It says typical investment runs £5K to £15K per month, with most clients spending £8K to £12K. Named clients include Ideagen, Epicor, Ravelin and Crownpeak. Gripped is a HubSpot Partner and a Google Partner.
Best for: UK and European SaaS companies that want ABM and paid demand programs from a focused team with clear monthly pricing.
ABM covers very different programs. 1:1 ABM builds custom plans for a handful of strategic accounts, 1:few groups similar accounts into clusters, and 1:many uses targeted media and personalization across hundreds of accounts. Strategic advisory firms such as MomentumABM and strategicabm are strongest at 1:1, while performance agencies such as Directive and Gripped are built for 1:many programs driven by paid media. Decide which tier matters most before you shortlist.
An ABM agency can only target the accounts your data can identify. Ask each agency to audit your CRM account records, intent data and ABM platform setup in the first weeks. If your data is weak, look at agencies with operations depth, such as Inverta or Demand Spring, or pair the agency with a provider from our guide to B2B data and intent data providers.
ABM fails when sales does not act on the signals marketing creates. Ask how the agency runs account selection with sales, what plays reps receive, and how follow-up is tracked. Agencies that offer sales enablement or deal-based ABM tend to handle this better. Strong revenue operations also helps, and our list of RevOps consulting firms covers partners who can fix the handoff.
Agree on account-level metrics before launch: target account engagement, opportunities created in target accounts, pipeline value, win rate and deal size. Avoid programs measured only on impressions or MQL volume. Ask each agency for a sample report and a case study with account-level results.
ABM relies on content that speaks to the problems of each buying group member. Check whether the agency writes account and industry insight pieces, or only adapts generic assets. If content is a gap, a specialist from our list of content marketing and thought leadership agencies can support the ABM team.
An ABM agency helps a B2B company select target accounts, research the buying groups inside them, create personalized content and campaigns, run targeted media and outreach, and measure engagement and pipeline at the account level. Some agencies also set up ABM platforms, train internal teams or support sales on specific deals.
Pricing depends on scope and program tier. Few agencies publish rates, but Gripped, for example, says most of its clients spend £8K to £12K per month. Enterprise 1:1 programs with custom research and creative usually cost more, and media spend is normally billed separately.
Engagement metrics can move within the first month, and some agencies, such as The ABM Agency, say pilots can launch within about three weeks. Pipeline and revenue impact usually take longer because they follow your sales cycle, so plan to judge a program over at least two to three quarters.
Yes. Demand generation creates interest across a broad market, while ABM focuses budget and effort on a defined list of accounts. Most companies run both, and many of the firms on our list of B2B demand generation agencies offer ABM as well.
The best account based marketing agency for your company depends on the type of ABM you run, your tech stack and how closely you want to work with the agency. MomentumABM, Inverta and Transmission suit enterprise programs that need strategy and scale. strategicabm and Demand Spring fit teams that want to build internal capability or strengthen marketing operations. Directive, Ironpaper and Gripped are strong choices for performance-driven programs on LinkedIn and HubSpot, and The ABM Agency and The Smarketers offer fast pilots and good value for specific markets.
Before you sign, ask each shortlisted ABM agency for a case study in your industry, a sample account-level report and a clear plan for how sales will act on what marketing produces. Those three answers will tell you more than any capabilities deck.
