Most CPA firms are not short on clients. They are short on people who can do the work. Write-up, monthly bookkeeping, 1040 and business return preparation and first-level review all pile up at the same time, usually between January and April, and hiring locally to cover that peak is slow and expensive. That is why a growing number of firms in the US, Canada, the UK and Australia now send part of their production work to an outsourcing partner.
This list is for firm owners and managing partners who want outsourced or offshore staff that work inside their own processes and software. Every company below markets its services directly to accounting firms, not only to end businesses. Some place dedicated staff who work as an extension of your team, some deliver work on a managed basis under your firm’s name, and a few use a domestic network of credentialed preparers or an automation platform instead of an offshore team.
For each provider we checked the company’s own website for the services it offers accounting firms, where its teams are based, what engagement models it uses and which security certifications it states. We left out any claim we could not confirm on the provider’s site. If you are weighing a broader handoff, our guides to back office outsourcing companies and offshore accounting staffing companies cover adjacent options.
Rankings reflect how clearly each firm is built for CPA practices, the range of work it can take on, the depth of its delivery footprint and how much it publishes about security and review. The right partner for a five-person practice is rarely the right partner for a 200-person regional firm, so the guide at the end explains how to match a provider to your situation.

QX Accounting Services is part of QX Global Group, which lists its global headquarters at The Shard in London and a US office in Bloomfield, New Jersey. The company works with accounting firms in the USA, the UK and Australia from delivery centers in India and Mexico, and it describes its teams as working as an extension of the client firm.
For US firms, QX covers outsourced accounting, bookkeeping and payroll, tax outsourcing including sales and use tax and multi-state tax, and external audit support such as audit working papers. It offers PTE and FTE engagement models, a managed FTE option that adds a second review of work before delivery, and Mexico-based nearshore staffing for firms that want closer time zone overlap. Firms that want their own offshore team can use its global capability center and build-operate-transfer support.
QX also builds its own automation, including ROBO1040 for K-1 processing, Mailerdesk for client queries and Power BI dashboards for tracking staff efficiency. The site states ISO 27001 certification for security and ISO 9001 for quality management.
Best for: Mid-size and larger firms that want managed tax, accounting and audit capacity with a defined review layer.
TOA Global lists its headquarters at 3100 West 7th Street in Fort Worth, Texas, and serves accounting firms in the US, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. Its delivery hubs are in Manila, Clark, Tarlac and Cebu, and the model is built around dedicated team members who work for one client firm.
Roles on offer include accountants trained in US standards, general accountants, auditors, bookkeepers and executive assistants. TOA Global describes work such as drafting and completing US income tax returns and preparing financial statements, and it wraps recruitment, people support and learning and development around each placement. Its training arm, the Ab² Institute of Accounting, is cited on the site as a registered training organization.
The site displays an AICPA SOC logo and refers to 24/7 enterprise-grade security. For firms that have never offshored before, the attraction is that TOA Global handles hiring, HR and facilities while the firm directs the day-to-day work.
Best for: Firms that want dedicated, full-time offshore staff in the Philippines with recruiting and HR handled for them.
MYCPE ONE, formerly Entigrity, is a US company that provides offshore accounting talent to CPA and accounting firms. Its offices page lists a US office at 1600 Highway 6 in Sugar Land, Texas, plus a long list of offices across India, including Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Surat, Bangalore, Hyderabad and Kolkata, and two in the Philippines in Clark and Manila.
The company offers two models. Under dedicated staffing, a firm interviews, tests and hires an accounting professional who works directly under its control and management. Under its outsourcing model, the firm gets on-demand access to professionals without managing them directly. Roles include bookkeepers, staff and senior accountants and tax preparers.
MYCPE ONE also runs a continuing education business for accountants and sells adjacent services such as websites, managed IT and AI implementation. On security, the site lists SOC 2 Type I and II, ISO 27001 and GDPR compliance.
Best for: Firms that want to interview and manage their own dedicated offshore hires from a large talent pool.
Unison Globus positions itself as an outsourcing partner for CPA firms, EAs and accounting practices. Its headquarters is in Ahmedabad, India, with further Indian offices in Surat and Hyderabad, and it lists offices for clients in Coral Springs, Florida (USA and Canada), London and Melbourne.
Its tax practice prepares and reviews returns while the client firm keeps the client relationship, advice, final approval and filing. Return types listed on the site include Forms 1040, 1041, 1065, 1120, 1120S and 990, plus expat and foreign reporting such as Forms 2555, 5471 and 5472 and FBAR filing, and it offers bulk 1040 processing for peak season. The site shows support for Drake, ProConnect, ProSeries, Lacerte, UltraTax, CCH, ATX and GoSystem.
Beyond tax, Unison Globus offers bookkeeping, accounting, payroll, audit and assurance support, sales tax and 1099 filing, and it lets firms hire dedicated accountants or bookkeepers. Work is delivered under the client firm’s brand, and the site states ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certification.
Best for: US firms that want white-label return preparation in the tax software they already use.
AcoBloom International lists its headquarters in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, and has offices in New Delhi, Gurugram, Jaipur, Mohali, Ahmedabad, Nashik, Pune and Bengaluru. Its site has country versions for the UK, US, Ireland, Australia, Canada and New Zealand and describes its focus as outsourcing for accountants and accountancy firms.
For US CPA firms, its offshore team prepares 1040, 1065, 1120, 1120-S, 1041 and 990 returns in the firm’s own tax software. It also offers accounting outsourcing, bookkeeping, accounts payable and receivable, payroll, sales and use tax, financial reporting and audit support. For UK practices, the menu adds year-end accounts, VAT returns, corporation tax and personal tax.
AcoBloom also offers its own technology products and consulting, and the site shows membership logos for Allinial Global and PASBA.
Best for: Firms that want one partner for tax returns, bookkeeping and audit support across several countries.
Taxfyle, headquartered at 2901 Florida Avenue in Coconut Grove, Florida, takes a different approach from the offshore providers on this list. Instead of an overseas team, it gives accounting firms access to a network it describes as vetted, US-based CPAs and EAs, which it reports at more than 7,200 professionals.
Firms can outsource tax preparation, review and bookkeeping through Taxfyle, with job management that integrates with Karbon so partners can track engagements and communicate with the assigned professionals. The site lists more than 100 firm partnerships and says security controls include encryption, SOC 2-compliant controls and two-factor authentication.
Because the preparers are US-based and credentialed, Taxfyle can suit firms whose clients or engagement letters make offshore data handling difficult, or firms that only need extra capacity during filing season.
Best for: Firms that need seasonal tax preparation and review capacity from US-based CPAs and EAs.
Botkeeper is headquartered at 200 Central Avenue in St. Petersburg, Florida, with other offices in Boston, Charlotte, Medellín and Balanga in the Philippines. It sells to accounting firms rather than directly to small businesses, and its main product, Botkeeper Infinite, automates the repetitive parts of client bookkeeping.
Modules on the site include Smart Connect, a transaction manager and Auto Bank Rec. Botkeeper says its AI posts to the general ledger only when confidence is high and surfaces lower-confidence items for the firm’s review. When firms need extra hands, it can layer in dedicated bookkeeping services on top of the software.
This is a fit for firms that want to grow a client accounting services practice without adding headcount at the same pace. It is less of a fit if you mainly need tax preparers.
Best for: Firms building a client accounting services practice that want automation plus optional human support.
CapActix describes itself as an outsourced accounting company for CPA firms and businesses in the USA. It lists a US address at 347 Fifth Avenue in New York and offices in Ahmedabad, India, Dubai, Kampala and New South Wales, Australia. The site says its team includes CPAs and Enrolled Agents.
Services include accounting and bookkeeping, individual and corporate tax preparation, audit support, payroll, AR and AP management, management reporting and year-end work, with QuickBooks and Xero accounting called out specifically. Firms can also hire offshore staff by role, including accountants, bookkeepers and tax preparers.
CapActix lists ISO 9001:2015, ISO 27001:2022, AICPA SOC 2 Type II and GDPR among its certifications. Industries listed on the site include real estate, manufacturing, healthcare, hotels and restaurants, franchise and e-commerce.
Best for: Small and mid-size US firms that want a mix of dedicated staff and managed tax and bookkeeping work.
Accountably helps US CPA, EA and accounting firms hire talent from India. Its headquarters is in Ahmedabad, with a registered US office at 5900 Balcones Drive in Austin, Texas, and the site says its founder is a US-licensed CPA.
The firm offers three models: dedicated offshore staff who work as remote full-time hires, white-label delivery where an Accountably team with a manager and reviewers handles seasonal or compliance work, and build-operate-transfer, where it builds an exclusive team the firm can later take over. Tax work covers 1040, 1120, 1065 and 990 returns, alongside bookkeeping and payroll.
Accountably publishes starting rates of about $11 per hour for accounting staff and $14 per hour for tax staff, a 45-day replacement guarantee on dedicated hires and a six-week US tax and accounting training program for newer hires. Staff are background-checked and sign NDAs, and access runs over a VPN with audit logs.
Best for: Smaller CPA and EA firms that want transparent pricing and a choice of staffing models.
AdvanceTrack describes itself as Chartered Accountants serving Chartered Accountants. Its registered office is in Coventry, with an operational base at the University of Warwick Science Park and a second office at 20 Martin Place in Sydney. The company has been operating since 2006.
It provides on-demand accounting and tax professionals trained for UK, US and Australian standards. Services include year-end accounts, self-assessment tax returns, VAT, payroll, management accounts and bookkeeping, including AP, AR and invoice processing. Its Podsourcing model gives a firm a dedicated pod of staff rather than individual hires.
The site refers to ISO-certified systems and shows ICAEW and BSI logos. For North American firms the offering is less detailed than for UK practices, so it ranks here mainly for UK and Australian readers.
Best for: UK and Australian accounting practices that want a dedicated offshore pod for compliance work.
Dedicated staffing means a named person works only for your firm and you direct their day. Managed delivery means the provider owns the process and returns finished work to you. Dedicated staff suit firms with stable volume and a manager who can train people. Managed delivery suits seasonal peaks and firms without spare management time. Several providers on this list, including QX, MYCPE ONE and Accountably, offer both.
Ask for the exact list of tax packages and ledgers the team has used in production, not just a logo wall. If you run UltraTax and CS Professional Suite, a team trained only on Drake will slow you down. Confirm whether staff work on your systems through remote access or on the provider’s own environment.
Ask who reviews a return or a month-end close before it comes back, and what credentials that reviewer holds. Some providers include a second-level review in the price; others leave all review to your staff. Your own reviewers will still sign off, but a solid first review cuts the time partners spend on corrections.
Ask for the actual SOC 2 report or ISO 27001 certificate, not just a badge on the website, and check its date and scope. Also ask how staff access client data, whether devices are locked down, and how access is removed when someone leaves. Your engagement letters and state rules may require client consent before data goes offshore.
India-based teams often work your overnight, which can mean finished work in the morning. Philippines and Mexico teams can be scheduled closer to US hours. If your staff need live collaboration during the day, ask what shifts are standard and what overlap costs extra.
The most common tasks are monthly bookkeeping and write-up, bank reconciliations, individual and business tax return preparation, payroll processing and audit fieldwork support. Most firms keep client advice, final review and signing in-house.
Yes, but US preparers must follow IRS rules on disclosure of taxpayer information, which generally require written client consent before return information is disclosed to a preparer outside the US. Check the current rules and update your engagement letters before you start.
Pricing varies by role, experience and model. Few providers publish rates, so request quotes from two or three firms for the same scope. Our guide on how much outsourced accounting costs walks through the main pricing models.
Dedicated hires usually take a few weeks from job description to start date, and new staff need time to learn your checklists. Start the process well before busy season so the team is productive when volume peaks.
For managed capacity with a defined review layer, QX Accounting Services and AcoBloom are the most complete offshore options here. Firms that want dedicated full-time staff should compare TOA Global, MYCPE ONE and Accountably. Unison Globus and Taxfyle stand out for tax season work, while Botkeeper suits firms building a client accounting practice around automation.
Whichever partner you choose, start with a small, well-documented scope, measure turnaround and review time for a full cycle, and expand from there. If your firm is also working on growth, our article on the best ways to market your accounting services pairs well with added capacity.
