Meta Description: Compare the top BPO companies in India for 2027: healthcare, F&A, data and contact center providers, their delivery cities, certifications and how to choose.
India built the modern offshore services industry, and it still handles the widest range of outsourced work of any single country: voice and chat support, finance and accounting, healthcare revenue cycle management, data and analytics, insurance operations and knowledge process work that needs graduates in commerce, medicine or law. If you are comparing BPO companies in India, the real question is less whether India can do the work and more which type of provider fits your process. For background on the categories, start with the guide to what BPO is and how it works.
Going into 2027, outsourcing to India looks different from five years ago. Automation and generative AI have absorbed a share of simple, rules-based back-office tasks, so providers now sell process redesign, analytics and AI-assisted operations alongside headcount. Healthcare has become the biggest growth area for mid-sized firms, with US payers and providers sending coding, billing and claims work to Chennai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Coimbatore. And delivery has spread past the big metros into Tier 2 cities such as Indore, Coimbatore, Siliguri, Durgapur and Mysuru, where costs and attrition are lower.
This list favors India-headquartered firms, or firms whose delivery is overwhelmingly Indian, from listed business services groups to specialist healthcare and data providers. The large global outsourcers were left off on purpose, so the list stays useful for buyers who want a provider where India is the core of the operation rather than one country among many. Each firm was checked on its own website, and on stock exchange filings or public company records where it is listed, for the services it sells, where it delivers from and who owns it.
If you are still choosing a country, the Philippines vs India vs Colombia BPO comparison sets out the trade-offs, and the top BPO companies in the Philippines are worth a look if most of your scope is English voice support.

Firstsource began in 2001 as ICICI InfoTech Upstream, a BPO unit owned by ICICI Bank, and took its current name in 2006. It is headquartered in Mumbai, listed on Indian stock exchanges and majority-owned by the RP-Sanjiv Goenka Group, which held about 54 percent through RPSG Ventures as of March 2025. Its global delivery network spans India, the US, the UK, the Philippines, South Africa, Australia, Mexico, Romania, Trinidad and Tobago and Turkey, with India as the largest base.
The company organizes its work by industry: banking and financial services, health plans, healthcare providers, communications, media and technology, edtech, retail and digital marketplaces, and energy and utilities. Services include customer experience across voice, chat and digital channels, an intelligent back office for document and transaction processing, collections, marketing operations, GenAI data services (data engineering and annotation) and consulting on operating-model redesign.
Firstsource is one of the most established names among Indian BPO companies in US healthcare and UK financial services and utilities, two markets where it has worked for many years. In 2026 HFS Research named it a market leader for customer experience services, and it reports an S&P Global ESG score in the top 1 percent of professional services firms. It suits enterprise buyers in regulated industries that want an Indian-headquartered provider with onshore and nearshore options in the same contract.
Digitide is the business process management and IT services company demerged from Quess Corp and now listed on the BSE. It operates within Triventure Holdings alongside Quess and Bluspring Enterprises, and traces its operations back to 2004. The company reports 55,000 associates across 40 locations in five countries, with most of its delivery in India, and says it serves more than 500 enterprises and handles over one billion omnichannel contacts a year.
Its business process services cover banking back-office operations, customer experience management, collections, finance and accounting, employee experience management and Digi CCaaS, its own cloud contact center platform. Alldigi Tech (formerly Allsec Technologies, based in Chennai) is a Digitide company and runs the SmartPay payroll and SmartHR platforms, processing more than 15 million payroll transactions a year across 70 countries. On the IT side Digitide offers cloud, data, ERP, cybersecurity and digital engineering services.
The verticals are banking and financial services, insurance (where it reports more than USD 25 billion in premiums processed), healthcare and pharma, fast-growing tech companies, automotive and manufacturing and the public sector. In 2026 it was named among India’s top 50 Best Workplaces for Women. Digitide fits buyers who want one Indian provider for contact center, insurance and banking operations, and payroll, especially companies with large Indian workforces or domestic Indian customer bases.
HGS is part of the Hinduja Group, with its global headquarters on Hosur Road in Bengaluru and its registered office in the Bandra Kurla Complex in Mumbai. It is listed in India and has long run customer engagement and back-office programs for clients in North America, the UK and India, delivering from Indian cities and from sites abroad.
The service catalog has three parts. Its outsourcing practice covers contact center, back office, IT staffing and offshore staffing. Its technology practice adds AI, automation, cloud, cybersecurity and data analytics. And its digital marketing and ecommerce unit provides social engagement and web and digital experience platforms. HGS lists technology partnerships with Microsoft, Databricks, Snowflake, NICE and Twilio, which shows up in its contact center and analytics work.
Industries served are banking, financial services and insurance, healthcare, consumer packaged goods, retail, public sector and utilities, and telecom, media and technology. HGS offers a 90-day proof of value for new engagements, which is a useful way to test a provider before scaling. It fits mid-sized and enterprise brands that want a long-established Indian group for customer experience and back office, and that may also want digital marketing or data services from the same partner.
Sagility is a healthcare-only business process management company with more than 26 years of experience, listed on Indian stock exchanges and best known for its work with US health insurers. It says it serves seven of the ten largest US health plans, with an 18-year average client tenure and 95 percent client retention. Its corporate headquarters is in Atlanta, but India is its largest delivery base.
The Indian footprint is broad: three sites in Bengaluru, plus Chennai, Coimbatore, Hyderabad, Indore and Navi Mumbai. It also delivers from Quezon City, Alabang, Iloilo and Tagbilaran in the Philippines, from Jamaica and from Barranquilla in Colombia, along with US sites in New Jersey and Texas. That mix lets a payer split work between offshore, nearshore and onshore teams under one provider.
For payers, Sagility handles claims and membership management (intake, adjudication, configuration, appeals and billing), payment integrity, provider network operations such as credentialing and directory management, utilization and care management, and member engagement. On the provider side it reduces denials and speeds up reimbursement, and its acquisition of Chirok Health added clinical documentation, medical coding and revenue integrity. Sagility suits health plans, third-party administrators and large provider groups that need healthcare-trained staff at scale and documented experience with US regulations.
eClerx was founded in 2000 and is listed on the BSE and NSE, with its main operations in Mumbai and Pune. It is more of a knowledge process and data operations firm than a contact center, and around 80 percent of its business comes from Fortune 500 clients. It says eight of the world’s Tier 1 banks use its services and that more than 100 brands have been clients for over five years. Acquisitions of Agilyst, CLX Europe and Personiv extended its reach in the US and Europe.
The service lines are financial services operations, financial crime compliance, finance and accounting, customer experience, data and analytics, market intelligence, creative and content production, technology services and digital marketing services. It builds its own tools for this work, including CX360, DocIntel, Compliance Manager and Merchandiser+, and in 2026 it became an Adobe Gold Solution Partner.
Industry focus covers banking, financial services and insurance, telecom, media and entertainment, high tech, fashion and luxury, manufacturing and distribution, and retail and consumer goods. eClerx holds Great Place to Work certification in India, an EcoVadis Silver rating and an ISO standard for AI management systems. It fits banks, telecom operators and large retailers that need complex, data-heavy processes such as trade support, KYC, product data or digital content operations, rather than high-volume voice support.
AGS Health was founded in 2011 by Devendra Saharia and focuses only on revenue cycle management for US healthcare organizations. Its corporate headquarters is in Washington, DC, but its workforce of more than 15,000 people sits mainly in India, with additional delivery in the Philippines and Mexico. Blackstone acquired the company in 2025 from Baring Private Equity Asia, its previous owner since 2019.
The service catalog follows the revenue cycle. Patient access covers eligibility and benefits verification, prior authorization, financial clearance and provider enrollment. Health information management and clinical services include facility, professional and risk adjustment coding, clinical documentation improvement, coding audit and clinical denials and appeals. Patient financial services handle accounts receivable, denial management, self-pay and payment posting, supported by denials analytics and predictive modeling.
AGS Health holds HITRUST certification and runs HIPAA-compliant operations with third-party audits for privacy, quality and security. In 2026 Everest Group named it a leader in revenue cycle management intelligent operations, and Black Book Research ranked it a top mid-cycle RCM outsourcing vendor in 2025. It fits US hospitals, health systems and physician groups that want to outsource coding, denials or full revenue cycle work to a specialist; see also the list of revenue cycle management companies.
Omega Healthcare Management Services is a healthcare outsourcing company whose main delivery base is Bengaluru, with additional teams in the Philippines and Bogotá, Colombia. Its press releases are datelined Boca Raton, Florida, where it has its US presence. Omega has expanded its Indian workforce heavily over the past few years and now runs one of the larger healthcare back-office operations in the country.
Its services cover revenue cycle management (patient access and business office), care coordination (phone and message triage, contact center and remote patient management), payer operations (value-based care and provider and member engagement), drug access and affordability (benefit verification, prior authorization and co-pay assistance) and health data curation for clinical trials, real-world data and AI model validation. A separate clinical enablement offering supports clinical teams.
Omega won the 2026 Best in KLAS award for ambulatory RCM services, one of the most closely watched rankings among US healthcare buyers, and a 2026 UiPath AI Breakthrough Award. Its Colombian unit was named a regional digital leader in October 2026. Omega fits US physician groups, ambulatory networks, health systems and life sciences companies that want an India-based partner for revenue cycle, prior authorization and patient support, with KLAS-rated performance to point to.
Fusion CX has about 22 years of customer operations experience and dual headquarters in Norcross, Georgia and Salt Lake City (Sector V) in Kolkata. It reports around 17,500 people in more than 40 delivery centers across 13 countries, but India is its largest base. Its Indian delivery cities include Kolkata, Howrah, Durgapur, Kalyani, Siliguri, Noida, Gurugram, Bengaluru, Mohali and Mumbai, and in 2025 it opened a 1,000-seat facility in Siliguri.
The company is a customer engagement specialist: inbound and outbound calls, customer service, technical support, live chat, email and social media, with multilingual and omnichannel delivery. A collections practice covers first-party, loan, auto loan, fintech and buy-now-pay-later and healthcare RCM collections. Through its Omind, Annotera and Roborax units it also sells AI quality tools, accent harmonization and data annotation for AI labs and robotics firms.
Verticals include banking and financial services, telecom, high tech, utilities, healthcare, home services, travel and hospitality and retail. Fusion CX lists PCI DSS and ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certification, and it won two Gold awards at the 2026 US Customer Experience Awards. It fits mid-sized US and UK brands that want an Indian contact center partner with a choice of Tier 2 cities, plus nearshore options in Latin America and the Caribbean under the same contract.
Datamatics is a Mumbai-headquartered technology and business process company listed on Indian stock exchanges, now positioning itself as an AI-first digital technologies, operations and customer experience company. It says more than 300 global enterprises use its services. Unlike pure contact center operators, it pairs its operations teams with its own automation and document processing products.
Its operations practice covers digital finance (finance and accounting process management), banking, insurance and healthcare process management, plus customer management through its SuperCX offering. On the technology side it provides automation, data and analytics, and application services, and one case study on its site describes AI processing 15 million performance reports a year. That combination suits buyers who want to automate a back-office process rather than simply move it offshore.
Datamatics lists a wide set of industries: banking and financial services, insurance, manufacturing, logistics, healthcare, technology, travel and transportation, credit rating agencies, international organizations, retail, education and market research. Its work for credit rating agencies and international organizations is unusual among Indian BPO companies. It fits insurers, lenders, research firms and publishers that need document-heavy processing combined with intelligent document processing and analytics, and that prefer a listed Indian provider.
Flatworld Solutions is a Bengaluru-based outsourcing company with about two decades of experience and more than 10 global delivery centers. Its main Indian base is in Bengaluru, and it also lists two offices in Davao City in the Philippines and a US office in Princeton, New Jersey, so clients can mix Indian back office with Philippine voice support.
The catalog is unusually wide, which makes Flatworld a practical first outsourcing partner for small and mid-sized businesses. It covers call center services (inbound, outbound, virtual assistants, cold calling and B2B lead generation), finance and accounting (bookkeeping, tax preparation support and CPA support), mortgage, insurance and healthcare BPO, data services, research and analysis, legal process outsourcing, transcription and translation, photo editing and engineering services such as CAD and BIM. It also runs software development and automation projects.
That breadth also means buyers should confirm which team, site and process owner would handle their work, since not every service line has the same depth. Flatworld fits small and mid-sized companies in the US, Europe and Israel that need several back-office functions handled by one Indian provider, such as an accounting firm that needs bookkeeping, data entry and a small inbound line.
Vee Technologies is part of the Sona Group of South India and has operated since 2000. It reports more than 5,000 team members across 10 offices in seven countries, with most of its delivery in Bengaluru and Tamil Nadu and a newer office in Chennai. It has been included in the IAOP Global Outsourcing 100 for 11 consecutive years, most recently in 2026.
Its healthcare services now operate as a separate brand, Vee Healthtek, which received a strategic investment from TA Associates in 2024. Vee Technologies itself focuses on finance and accounting (accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliation and general ledger), logistics operations (freight audit and payment, customs documentation and shipment tracking), engineering and architecture, engineering and construction support (BIM, MEP, structural and drafting), rendering and animation, and AI, automation and analytics work.
The logistics practice is a niche strength: Vee runs its own freight audit and payment portal, which is useful for shippers and third-party logistics firms that want auditing and payment processing handled by one team. In 2026 it won an industrial excellence award from the Institution of Engineers (India) Tamil Nadu centre and became a Siemens Gold Partner. Vee Technologies fits logistics companies, construction and engineering firms and mid-sized businesses that want finance and accounting support from an Indian provider with a long record and a South India cost base.
Indian providers are strongest where a process can be documented, measured and improved: back office, finance and accounting, claims, healthcare revenue cycle, data and analytics, and knowledge work that needs graduates with domain training. Many also run large English voice programs for US, UK and Australian clients, but a buyer who mainly needs voice support should compare them against the Philippines and nearshore sites before deciding.
Be clear about which bucket your work sits in, because it decides which firms belong on the shortlist. A healthcare coding specialist and a high-volume contact center operator are both BPO companies in India, but they hire, train and price in completely different ways. The BPO vs KPO guide explains where the line sits.
Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Pune, Mumbai and the Delhi NCR (Noida and Gurugram) have the deepest talent pools and the most mature facilities, but also the highest attrition for in-demand roles. Tier 2 cities such as Coimbatore, Indore, Kolkata, Siliguri, Durgapur and Mohali are cheaper and often more stable, with a smaller bench for niche skills.
Ask the provider which city your team would sit in, how many people it already employs there and whether a second site is available for business continuity. A provider with three sites in one metro gives you less protection than one with sites in two different states.
For most enterprise programs, ask for ISO 27001 and a SOC 2 Type II report. US healthcare work needs HIPAA controls and a business associate agreement, and HITRUST certification is a strong signal for revenue cycle vendors. Card data needs PCI DSS, and European personal data needs a GDPR-compliant transfer mechanism. India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act also applies to data processed in the country, so ask how the provider handles it in contracts and breach procedures.
Request the certificates themselves, check the scope and dates, and ask which sites they cover. A certificate for one Chennai facility does not cover a new center in a different city.
Almost every Indian outsourcing provider now pitches automation. The useful question is how it changes your price and service levels. Ask what share of the process they expect to automate in year one and year two, who owns the bots and models, and whether savings flow back to you through lower transaction prices or stay with the provider. A provider that cannot explain its approach in plain terms is selling a slide rather than a capability.
Indian rates vary widely by work type. Entry-level non-voice data work sits at the low end, international voice in the middle, and certified coders, accountants, analysts and clinicians at the high end. Pricing may be per full-time employee, per hour, per transaction or outcome-based, and outcome-based deals are increasingly common in healthcare revenue cycle work. The BPO pricing guide sets out the common models, and asking every shortlisted firm to price the same scope is the only way to get quotes you can actually compare.
India remains the deepest market for non-voice, finance, healthcare and knowledge process outsourcing, and the firms on this list show how varied it has become: listed multi-service groups such as Firstsource, Digitide and HGS, healthcare specialists such as Sagility, AGS Health and Omega, data and analytics operators such as eClerx and Datamatics, and contact center and multi-service firms expanding into Tier 2 cities. The right choice depends on your process, your compliance needs and how much you want the provider to redesign the work rather than simply staff it.
Shortlist two or three firms whose specialism matches your process, ask for references from clients in your industry and run a short pilot before committing to scale.
