Executive reputation management starts with one search: a board member, investor, journalist or candidate types a CEO’s or founder’s name into Google and reads the first page. If that page shows a lawsuit, a hostile press cycle, an old failed venture or a forum thread about layoffs, it shapes the meeting before anyone walks in the room. Increasingly, the same question is also asked of ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity, which draw on the same sources.
The firms on this list work on that problem from the asset side. Rather than chasing takedowns one URL at a time, they build things an executive owns or earns: a personal bio site, a complete LinkedIn and Crunchbase presence, bylined thought leadership, podcast and conference appearances, a Wikipedia article where notability allows, and genuine media coverage. Those assets rank, and as they rank, the negative material moves down. That is what executive search suppression actually means in practice.
This is a different job from helping a private citizen with an old mugshot or a data broker listing, and different again from a general suppression campaign for a company brand. Leaders bring constraints of their own: legal review of anything published, investor relations rules, a name that is shared with others, and a public record that cannot simply be erased. Every firm below was checked against its own website in October 2026, and any statistic quoted is the company’s own figure.

Erase Technologies, LLC has worked in reputation management since 2009, with offices in Miami and Burlington, Ontario. Executives and professionals are one of its three named client groups, alongside businesses and individuals. Its reputation work covers authority building, suppression and monitoring, and its removal team handles search results, news articles, court records and complaint site posts, plus review removal on Glassdoor, Indeed and other employer platforms where a CEO’s name often surfaces.
The four-phase process of Audit, Remove, Suppress and Monitor suits executive cases because it starts by sorting what can come down from what has to be outranked. Anything that breaks a platform’s policy is filed directly with that platform; what remains is handled with owned and earned assets.
Erase reports 99% of suppression campaigns completed within six months, with 59% inside three months, and more than 10,000 clients overall. Clients pay only when results are delivered, and the free assessment is reviewed within 24 hours.
The limitation for senior leaders is that Erase is a reputation firm rather than a PR agency, so an executive who needs a sustained media relations program may pair it with a communications team.
Best for: executives who want removal and suppression handled together, on a results-based fee.
Guaranteed Removals is the removal-only brand of Erase Technologies, LLC, the company that also runs Erase, with offices in Miami and Burlington, Ontario. It deletes content at the source rather than pushing it down, and it does not sell suppression. Clients are billed only after a link is removed and verified gone, with no retainer or upfront fee.
For executives and founders, it handles the removable items in a name search: defamatory posts, old articles, court records, personal information and leaked images or videos. It does not build owned assets such as bio sites or thought leadership, which is most of the work in executive suppression.
Its removals carry a lifetime guarantee: if a removed link reappears on the same URL, the firm says it removes it again free, and refunds that removal if the second attempt fails. Guaranteed Removals reports more than 15,000 clients, 20,000 reviews removed and 100,000 links deleted; those are the company’s own figures.
Best for: Executives with specific removable results on their name.
Status Labs was founded in 2012 and is led by CEO Darius Fisher and COO Jesse Boskoff. It is headquartered in Austin with offices in New York, Los Angeles, Miami, London and Hamburg, and is part of Millbrook Companies. Services include personal and corporate reputation management, SEO, AI search optimization and strategic advisory.
Its strength for leaders is the combination of digital PR and search: the same team that builds a founder’s bio site and profiles can also pursue coverage that ranks. The firm also measures how clients appear in AI answers, which matters as investors start asking chatbots about founders.
Status Labs says it only takes clients whose goals are legitimate and whose facts it can stand behind. Pricing is by quote, and agencies of this size are usually priced for companies rather than individuals paying out of pocket.
Reputation X has operated since 2005 from Austin, Texas, under parent company Obtainium Ventures LLC. It works with executives, companies and public figures on search result repair, Wikipedia creation and editing, Google Knowledge Panel management, AI search optimization and mistaken identity cases, in 25 languages.
Its pricing page is unusually open: search engine results repair starts from $3,000 a month, Knowledge Panel and generative engine work from $3,000 as one-time projects, and custom campaigns from $8,000 a month. For a CEO whose problem is a thin or wrong Knowledge Panel, or a Wikipedia article that leads with a controversy, this specialism is hard to find elsewhere.
Wikipedia work is constrained by Wikipedia’s own notability and conflict-of-interest rules, so no firm can promise an article will be created or stay as written. Reputation X’s own estimates for comprehensive edits run two to six months.
ReputationDefender, now part of Norton, has about 20 years in the market and reports more than 10,000 clients. Its VIP tier is aimed at executives, public figures and families with complex situations, and it sits alongside online content suppression and a concierge digital security service that cuts data broker exposure.
For leaders, the family angle is the point. A CEO’s search results and a spouse’s home address on a people-search site are often part of the same risk, and ReputationDefender can cover both.
It is suppression-led rather than media-led, so it is less suited to founders who need a stream of earned coverage. Pricing is by consultation.
TheBestReputation is based in Williamsburg, Virginia, and led by CEO Chris Hinman and partner Casi Hinman. It combines reputation management, content removal, review management and crisis management with SEO and branding, serving companies, executives and public figures, and individuals.
The firm reports more than 10,000 negative links removed or suppressed and more than 1,000 companies and executives protected, and it ranked No. 201 on the 2025 Inc. 5000. It is candid that removal at source is not always possible and that suppression is used when it is not.
It works on custom proposals, so you will need a call to understand cost. Check how much of the plan is PR placement versus owned assets, because the two age differently.
SEO Image was founded in 2002 by CEO Alan Rabinowitz and has offices in Manhattan and Melville, New York. It runs a dedicated ORM for executives service alongside its broader SEO practice, and publishes an executive case study in which the top 10 results were cleared twice after repeated attacks.
Its pricing page gives real numbers: campaigns start at $2,500 a month, many ongoing engagements run $3,000 to $7,500 a month, and complex legal, executive or high-profile cases are custom priced. That makes it easier to compare than most firms here.
SEO Image is an SEO agency first, so its strength is ranking owned assets rather than generating press. Executives who need media relations will want to ask how that piece is covered.
Igniyte Limited is registered in England and Wales (company number 06830265), with offices in Leeds, London and Dubai Marina. Its site names Simon Wadsworth as its reputation management expert. Services include a dedicated content removal team, suppression through PR, content, blogs and optimized social profiles, review management and monitoring dashboards.
For executives operating across the UK, Europe and the Gulf, local presence matters: UK data protection rules and European right-to-be-forgotten requests work differently from US options, and a firm used to those routes can save months.
Fees are on request through a quote form. US-only leaders may find a domestic firm a closer fit.
Kanary was founded in Chicago in 2020 by Rachel Vrabec and is backed by Y Combinator. It is built for people who need an online presence but also need to manage doxxing, impersonation, phishing or physical risk, including executives, nonprofit leaders and their families. It removes personal information from data brokers, search engines, social media and AI tools, and monitors for its return.
Pricing is published: Core is $250 a year, Advanced is $500 a year with weekly scans and social and AI coverage, and team plans start at five seats, which suits a leadership team. Family members are half price.
Kanary does not build owned assets or push down articles. It belongs in an executive plan as the privacy layer, next to a suppression firm.
Go Fish Digital is a Raleigh, North Carolina digital agency whose reputation practice covers search suppression, review management and proactive reputation building for clients from individuals to the Fortune 500. Its pitch is owning the first page for a name by suppressing negative results and amplifying accurate content.
For an executive whose company already needs technical SEO, using an agency that does both can tie the CEO’s name search to the company’s broader content plan.
The ORM page names no leadership and no prices, so request a proposal and ask who on the team specializes in personal, rather than brand, searches.
CEO reputation management rests on assets that keep ranking after the contract ends: a domain in your name, complete professional profiles, and published work under your byline. Ask which assets will be registered to you, who holds the logins, and what happens to them if you leave. Our list of reputation management companies worldwide compares firms on this point.
Owned assets carry you so far; a strong interview or feature in a respected outlet often outranks all of them. Ask whether the firm pitches journalists itself or relies on paid placements, and how it labels sponsored content. Paid posts on low-quality sites can do more harm than good.
Investors and journalists now ask chatbots about executives. Ask how the firm checks what ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity say about you and what it does when an answer is wrong. Our list of AI reputation management companies looks at this specialism in more depth.
Anything published under a public company executive’s name may be subject to disclosure rules and legal review. Make sure the firm builds approval steps into its process and never posts in your name without sign-off.
Reputation management for executives increasingly includes home addresses and family details on broker sites. If that applies to you, pair a suppression firm with a data removal service; our personal data removal services list compares the options.
For executive reputation management, the deciding question is whether you need removal, assets, media or privacy, and in what mix. Erase and TheBestReputation cover removal and suppression together; Status Labs adds media relations; Reputation X handles Wikipedia and Knowledge Panels; SEO Image publishes clear rates; Kanary covers the privacy layer.
Whichever firm you choose, expect suppression of a strong negative result to take months, not weeks, and measure progress by what a stranger sees on page one for your name. If the work is less about a title and more about search results in general, see our companion list of search result suppression companies.
