Short answer: To cancel Bumble subscription charges, go to whoever bills you: iPhone Settings for Apple, the Play Store for Google, or Profile > Subscription details > Manage your subscription in the Bumble app if you paid by card, PayPal or Apple Pay. Bumble says plans renew automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date. The catch: deleting the app does not cancel the subscription, and Bumble tells you to cancel before you delete your account.
If you want to cancel your Bumble subscription, the most important thing to know is that Bumble usually is not the company holding your payment. Most people subscribe inside the iPhone or Android app, which means Apple or Google bills you and only Apple or Google can stop the renewal. This guide walks through every route, current as of October 2026 and checked against Bumble’s own help center and Terms and Conditions: Apple, Google Play, direct card or PayPal billing, the discontinued Bumble web version, and the new standalone BFF app. It also covers refunds, Snooze versus deletion, and what to do if a charge keeps coming. For a wider look at recurring charges, see our guide on how to cancel subscriptions online.
| What your statement or sign-up says | Who bills you | Where to cancel |
|---|---|---|
| “Apple.com/bill” or an App Store receipt email | Apple | iPhone Settings > your name > Subscriptions > Bumble |
| “Google Play” or a Google Play receipt email | Play Store > profile icon > Payments & subscriptions > Subscriptions > Bumble | |
| A Bumble charge on your card, PayPal or Apple Pay | Bumble directly | Bumble app > Profile > Subscription details > Manage your subscription |
| You paid on the old Bumble web version | Bumble directly | Bumble app (same login) or Bumble support |
| You paid inside Bumble For Friends or BFF | Apple, Google or Bumble, depending on how you paid | See the BFF section below |
Bumble’s help center currently lists three subscription tiers, each building on the one below. The cancel steps are identical for all three, because what matters is who bills you, not which tier you hold.
Weekly allowances of SuperSwipes, Spotlights and Notes do not roll over. Bumble says unused ones expire and replenish weekly on the day your original subscription purchase was made. Bumble does not publish fixed prices in its help center, so check the amount shown in your app or on your Apple or Google receipt.
To see how you subscribed, open your receipts. An Apple or Google receipt email means you cancel with that store. A Bumble order number on a card or PayPal charge means you cancel inside the Bumble app.
If you subscribed in the iPhone app with your Apple Account, Apple holds the subscription. Bumble’s own help center sends you to Apple for this, and Bumble cannot stop an Apple renewal for you.
Apple notes that if you see no cancel button, or an expiration message in red text, the subscription is already canceled. You can also manage Apple subscriptions on a Mac through the App Store or on the web at Apple’s account site. Apple’s full instructions are on its cancel a subscription from Apple page. The same Apple menu handles any other app you pay through the App Store, which is also how many people cancel Apple TV or Spotify Premium.
If you subscribed in the Android app, Google Play bills you and the cancel button lives in the Play Store, not in Bumble.
Make sure you are signed in to the same Google Account you used to subscribe. Google states plainly that uninstalling an app does not cancel its subscription. You can also reach the list directly at play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions.
If you paid Bumble directly with a credit or debit card, PayPal or Apple Pay, the subscription is managed inside the Bumble app. This is the route to use when you want to cancel Bumble Premium, Boost or Premium+ and your statement shows a Bumble charge rather than Apple or Google.
Bumble’s Terms and Conditions say the same thing in plain words: if you bought a subscription directly from Bumble, you cancel or change your payment method through the payment settings under your profile. If you cannot reach those settings (for example, you are locked out), Bumble’s Canceling subscriptions article tells you to contact Bumble support. Take a screenshot of the confirmation screen for your records.
Bumble has discontinued its web version. Its help center says that signing in on the web now prompts you to download the app, and that you can sign in to the app with the same account to keep your matches and conversations.
Bumble has not published separate cancel steps for older web-purchased plans. Since those were paid directly to Bumble, the practical route is:
Bumble’s refund article lists “Bumble Web” alongside card, Apple Pay and PayPal as a payment type that support handles directly.
Bumble’s friendship product has changed in 2026, so check which one you paid for.
Outside those three countries, Bumble says BFF Mode and the Bumble For Friends app are still running. A Bumble For Friends subscription is cancelled the same way as the dating app: in Apple or Google Play if you bought it there. Its own terms state that deleting your account or the app does not cancel the subscription.
Bumble’s help center says subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date. Its Terms and Conditions put it in capitals: your subscription will renew at the end of the period unless you cancel. To be safe, cancel a day or two before the date shown in your account or store receipt.
Here is what to expect after you cancel:
Bumble’s general rule, from its Terms and Conditions (last updated 17 June 2026), is that all charges for purchases are generally nonrefundable, with no refunds or credits for partially used periods. There are real exceptions, and the route depends on how you paid. Canceling and asking for a refund are two separate actions: Bumble says to cancel future renewals separately even when you request a refund.
Bumble’s terms say refunds for Apple purchases are handled by Apple, regardless of where you live.
Apple says to expect an update within about 24 to 48 hours.
Bumble’s help center gives this path: Play Store > Profile > Payments & subscriptions > Subscriptions > the Bumble purchase > Request a refund. Google’s own help also lets you report a problem on an order from play.google.com under Payments & subscriptions > Budget & order history, and says to contact the app developer if more than 48 hours have passed since an in-app purchase. Bumble’s terms say Google handles refunds for subscribers who live outside the US and direct “all other purchases” to Bumble customer support, so if you are in the US and Google turns you down, contact Bumble support too.
Contact Bumble support and include your order number, the email or mobile number on your account, your Bumble User ID, the payment method and a short reason. To copy your User ID, Bumble says to open Settings, scroll to the bottom and double-tap the Bumble logo.
Bumble’s terms give subscribers who live in Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Rhode Island and Wisconsin the right to cancel without penalty before midnight of the third business day after subscribing (excluding Sundays and holidays). The terms say eligible subscribers must also request a refund to receive one. Notice can go through customer support with your order number, or by a signed and dated notice stating you are canceling, sent to Bumble, Attn.: Cancellations, P.O. Box 300940, Austin, Texas, 78703. Apple purchases still go through Apple. For the same states, the terms also provide a pro-rated refund to a subscriber’s estate on death, or to a subscriber who becomes disabled and cannot use the service.
Bumble’s terms also say that subscribers outside the US can get a refund if they ask within 6 days for weekly plans or 14 days for monthly or longer plans, except Apple purchases.
Bumble’s terms say all purchases and redemptions of virtual items made through its services are final and non-refundable. Bumble’s refund article also notes that refund eligibility depends on whether you bought a one-time item or a subscription. Apple and Google can still review a request through their own flows, but do not count on it.
Bumble gives you three different off switches. Only one of them stops billing.
| Option | Stops billing? | Profile visible? | Matches and chats | Undo? |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Cancel subscription | Yes, from the next renewal | Yes, on the free tier after the paid period | Kept | Resubscribe any time |
| Snooze Mode (24 hours, 72 hours, a week or indefinitely) | No. Bumble says Snooze does not pause your subscription | No new people see you | Existing chats continue; matches without active chats expire | Turn Snooze off |
| Delete account | Not reliably. Bumble says to cancel first | No | Removed | Bumble support can restore it for up to 28 days |
| Delete the app | No | Yes, your profile stays live | Kept | Reinstall |
Bumble’s terms contain both a statement that deleting your account or the app does not cancel your subscription and a statement that deleting your account cancels any subscription immediately without a refund. The help center’s advice settles it in practice: cancel the subscription where you pay, then delete the account if you want to. For Apple subscriptions, Bumble is explicit that deleting your account will not cancel the subscription. To delete, open the app, tap the profile icon, tap the gear icon, scroll to the bottom, tap Delete account, choose a reason and confirm.
| Problem | Why it happens | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| Bumble is not in my iPhone Subscriptions list | You paid Google, Bumble directly, or used a different Apple Account | Check your receipts, then try Google Play or Profile > Subscription details in the Bumble app |
| No cancel button in Apple Subscriptions | The plan is already canceled | Apple says a red expiration message means it will not renew |
| Bumble is missing from Google Play | Signed in to the wrong Google Account | Switch accounts in the Play Store and check again |
| I deleted my account and still got charged | The store subscription kept running | Cancel in Apple or Google, then request a refund there |
| I used Snooze and was billed | Snooze does not pause a subscription | Cancel the subscription separately |
| I paid on Bumble web and cannot find the plan | The web version is discontinued | Sign in to the app with the same login, or contact Bumble support with your order number |
| Someone phoned offering to cancel or refund for me | Bumble says it offers no phone support and will not call you about payments or refunds | Hang up, share nothing and report it to Bumble support |
Keep a written record: screenshots of the cancel screen, receipt emails and every support ticket number. If charges continue after you have canceled with the right biller, dispute them with Apple, Google or your card issuer, and ask your bank about blocking future charges from that merchant as a backstop. You can report a business that will not let you stop recurring charges to the FTC at reportfraud.ftc.gov or to your state attorney general.
The FTC’s nationwide click-to-cancel rule was vacated by the Eighth Circuit in July 2025, but the federal Restore Online Shoppers’ Confidence Act (ROSCA) still applies to online subscriptions, and California and other states have automatic renewal laws of their own. This is general information, not legal advice.
Cancel where you pay: iPhone Settings > your name > Subscriptions for Apple, the Play Store’s Subscriptions page for Google, or Profile > Subscription details > Manage your subscription in the Bumble app for card, PayPal or Apple Pay.
Bumble Premium cancels exactly like Boost and Premium+. Find out whether Apple, Google or Bumble bills you, then use that route.
Bumble’s web version is discontinued, so use the app for direct plans. Apple subscriptions can be canceled from a Mac or Apple’s account website, and Google Play subscriptions from play.google.com.
Deleting the app does not. For deleting your account, Bumble tells you to cancel first, and says outright that deleting your account will not cancel an Apple subscription.
No. Bumble says switching on Snooze does not pause your subscription.
Usually not. Bumble says you keep paid perks until the end of the period you already paid for, unless Apple or Google approves a refund.
Bumble says to cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date.
Generally no, but Apple and Google review their own refund requests, residents of 12 US states have a three-business-day right to cancel, and subscribers outside the US have 6- or 14-day refund windows under Bumble’s terms.
Bumble’s terms say virtual item purchases are final and non-refundable.
No. Bumble says it does not offer phone support, so anyone calling about your subscription is not Bumble.
Yes. In the US, Canada and Mexico, BFF is a separate app with its own help center, and it currently has no paid plans. Older Bumble For Friends plans are handled as described above.
