That works for anything billed by Roblox directly. If you subscribed inside the iOS or Android app, cancel at Apple or Google Play instead, because Roblox cannot do it for you. Memberships bought through the Windows Store or Amazon are non-recurring in the first place, so they just end on their expiry date with nothing to cancel.
The bigger thing to know in 2026 is that Roblox Premium has been replaced. Roblox Plus launched globally on 30 April 2026 at $4.99 a month, and Premium is no longer sold to new members. Existing Premium subscribers keep what they have, but the benefits underneath have been changing, and two of them have already gone.
Whichever you are on, one rule does not move: Robux is not refundable, and neither are subscriptions. Cancelling stops the next charge and nothing else.

Two Premium benefits have already been withdrawn. From 30 May 2026 Roblox discontinued the 10 per cent bonus on additional Robux purchases for Premium subscribers, and retired the Premium logo.
There is also genuine ambiguity right now about trading. Roblox’s Premium page still lists trading and reselling as a Premium benefit, while the trading documentation now says an active Roblox Plus subscription is required. If trading is the only reason you keep Premium, check that it still works for you before you decide anything, because the answer is in flux.
The Plus discount detail worth noting: it excludes items over 1 million Robux, resold items, ads credit and certain fees, and the step up from 10 to 20 per cent needs three consecutive months, so cancelling and resubscribing resets it.

Sign in to the account that actually holds the subscription, which in a household with several Roblox accounts is not always the one you are looking at. After cancelling, benefits continue for the remainder of the time you have already paid for.
What You Lose, Including Trading
When the subscription ends you lose access to the subscription benefits. The one that catches people is not the discount or the stipend, it is trading.
Trading requires an active subscription, on both sides. Roblox’s trading rules now state you need an active Roblox Plus subscription to trade, and that both parties need it, both must have trading enabled and their inventories visible. Trading is also unavailable in South Korea. Selling and reselling avatar items, and publishing items to the Marketplace, are subscription-gated in the same way.
So if you hold limited items you intend to trade or resell, do it before the subscription lapses. After it ends you still own the items, you simply cannot move them.
Robux already credited to your balance sits in your account rather than being clawed back when a subscription ends. Roblox does not spell this out in a dedicated statement, so if you have a large balance and you are cancelling, spending it first removes any doubt.
Robux And Refunds
Roblox’s position is unusually firm, and it is worth understanding before you buy rather than after.
Subscriptions are non-refundable and non-transferable. Statutory rights still apply where they exist, such as the EU cooling-off period, but the default answer is no.
Robux cannot be returned. Roblox states there is no way to get Robux back once a purchase is made, and that covers accidental purchases and items you simply do not like.
Deleting an item does not refund it. The Robux is spent regardless.
Unauthorised charges are the one real exception. Roblox will work with you on card, PayPal and Google Play charges you did not authorise, but there is a critical sequencing rule: contact Roblox support before disputing with your bank. Once a charge is disputed, Roblox cannot issue a refund on it. Charges made through Apple, Microsoft Store, Xbox, PlayStation, Meta Quest, Samsung or Amazon have to go through those platforms, since Roblox cannot refund them at all.

Cancel any active subscription first, and spend or write off the Robux balance, because none of it is refunded on closure.
If you are in a region with statutory data rights, including the EEA, Brazil, Iceland, Norway, Switzerland and several US states, there is a second route: a support request under Data Privacy Requests, then Right to be Forgotten. That is the better path if your concern is personal data rather than the account itself.
Roblox does not publish a waiting period for deletion or state whether a pending request can be withdrawn, so treat the confirmation as final rather than assuming a grace period exists.
Parents, Child Accounts And Unauthorised Charges
Roblox restructured child accounts in April 2026 into age-based types: Roblox Kids for ages 5 to 8 and Roblox Select for 9 to 15, with automatic promotion at 9 and again at 16. Parental controls run through age 15 and cover game blocking, direct message control, activity and friend visibility, and crucially spending and screen-time limits.
If the reason you are here is a child spending money you did not authorise, the spending limit in parental controls is the fix that prevents a repeat, and it is more effective than cancelling a subscription.
On the charges themselves, Roblox says users should always get permission from the payment account owner before purchasing, and warns that unauthorised charges can lead to permanent account closure. So the order matters: link the account to parental controls, set the spending limit, contact Roblox support about the charges, and do not go straight to a bank dispute.
