You cannot cancel Fortnite Crew inside Fortnite. You cancel it wherever you subscribed: your Epic Games account, PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo or the App Store.
That is the whole reason people get stuck. The subscription is presented inside the game, so that is where everyone goes looking, and there is no cancel option there. Whoever took the payment holds the subscription.
The good news is that cancelling costs you nothing you have already earned. V-Bucks already granted stay in your balance, Crew Pack outfits you have claimed are yours to keep, and benefits run to the end of the current billing period.
Two things changed recently that are worth knowing before you decide. The monthly V-Bucks grant dropped from 1,000 to 800 as part of Epic’s 2026 V-Bucks revaluation, while the price stayed at $11.99. And since November 2025, Fortnite Crew has been bundled into Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, so some people are paying for it twice without realising.

Epic does not document a Google Play or Samsung Galaxy Store path for Crew. If you subscribed through either, look under that store’s own subscriptions area, and use Epic’s platform refunds page to find the right support contact if you get stuck.
Whichever route applies, all Crew benefits continue until the end of the current billing period, so cancel the day you decide.

At $11.99 a month, Crew is one of the better-value subscriptions in gaming while you use it, because it bundles the Battle Pass, OG Pass, LEGO Pass, Music Pass, Rocket Pass Premium, a monthly outfit bundle and 800 V-Bucks. The question is whether you are playing enough to use them.
The Battle Pass Catch For Newer Subscribers
This is the detail that decides whether cancelling mid-season costs you anything, and it depends on a date.
On 1 December 2024, Epic folded the Music Pass and LEGO Pass into Crew and committed to including future passes automatically. From that same date, new subscribers must keep an active subscription to claim premium rewards from the Battle Pass, Music Pass and LEGO Pass.
So if you subscribed after December 2024 and you cancel part way through a season, you stop being able to claim the premium rewards from those passes when the period ends, even for levels you have already earned. Subscribers from before that date are on the older terms.
The practical advice: if you are close to finishing a Battle Pass you care about, time the cancellation for after the season ends rather than mid-season. Epic’s wording on the older terms is thin, so if you are a long-standing subscriber it is worth checking your own pass screen rather than assuming.
The V-Bucks Change: 1,000 To 800
Epic revalued V-Bucks in 2026, with the change to purchasable packs taking effect from 19 March 2026. As part of it, the Fortnite Crew grant went from 1,000 V-Bucks a month to 800.
The real-money price of Crew did not change. It is still $11.99. Item prices moved too, with the Battle Pass and OG Pass dropping to 800 V-Bucks and the Music and LEGO Passes to 1,200, so the currency is worth more per unit than it was. Whether that nets out in your favour depends on what you actually spend it on.
If your reason for cancelling is that the V-Bucks number dropped, it is worth checking the pass prices before deciding, because the comparison is not as simple as 1,000 against 800.
You May Already Have It Through Game Pass
Since 18 November 2025, Fortnite Crew has been included as a benefit of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, which currently costs $22.99 a month and also bundles EA Play and Ubisoft+ Classics.
Two consequences. If you subscribe to Game Pass Ultimate and separately pay $11.99 for Crew, you are paying twice for the same thing, so cancel the standalone one. And if you cancel Game Pass Ultimate, your Crew access goes with it, since it is a bundled benefit rather than a separate subscription.
Worth checking your Epic account subscriptions page and your Microsoft account services page before assuming which one is charging you.
Refunds: Crew Versus Return Tickets
These are two completely different systems and people conflate them constantly.
Fortnite Crew is not refundable by Epic. Epic states plainly that Crew subscriptions bought directly through Epic Games cannot be refunded. If you subscribed through PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo or Apple, that platform’s own refund policy applies instead, and Epic cannot process it.
Return Tickets are for Item Shop purchases, not subscriptions. You get a maximum of three, each refreshing 365 days after the most recent one you received. They cover Item Shop items bought with V-Bucks in the last 30 days.
There is also a separate 24-hour cancel option for an unintended purchase, which does not use a ticket, provided you have not equipped or used the item. And a hard exclusion worth remembering: anything bought directly with real money is not eligible for returns through either route.
