How To Cancel LinkedIn Premium In 2026: Desktop, iPhone And Refunds

Short answer: on a computer, click the Me icon, then Premium features, then Manage subscription. In LinkedIn Admin Center, click Purchases, select your active subscription, click Cancel subscription and then Confirm cancel. Do it at least one day before your next billing date. If you paid through Apple, cancel in the LinkedIn app on your iPhone or in iPhone Settings; if you paid through Google Play, you can cancel on LinkedIn or in the Play Store.

Cancelling LinkedIn Premium takes two minutes once you find the right place. LinkedIn sends most cancellations through a separate tool called Admin Center, the steps depend on whether you paid LinkedIn, Apple or Google, and people who signed up on an iPhone browser often discover that the iPhone app will not let them cancel at all.

This guide covers every route for Premium Career, Premium Business, Sales Navigator and Recruiter Lite, what the plans cost in 2026, what happens to your InMail credits and profile badge, and when LinkedIn will actually give you a refund.

First, Check Who Is Billing You

LinkedIn’s own help centre is clear that the cancellation steps depend on how you originally bought Premium. Look at the charge on your card or bank statement before you start.

What your statement says Who bills you Where to cancel
LINKEDIN or LINKEDIN PREMIUM LinkedIn directly LinkedIn on a computer (Admin Center), or the LinkedIn app on Android
APPLE.COM/BILL Apple App Store LinkedIn app on your iPhone, or iPhone Settings, then Subscriptions
GOOGLE *LinkedIn Google Play LinkedIn on a computer, the LinkedIn app, or the Play Store
No charge on your card at all Your employer or a team admin Ask your company’s LinkedIn admin to remove your seat

How Much LinkedIn Premium Costs In 2026

LinkedIn Premium is a family of plans rather than one product. Premium Career is aimed at job seekers, Premium Business at people building a network or a business, Sales Navigator at salespeople and Recruiter Lite at individual recruiters. LinkedIn also sells Premium Company Page for organisations and has introduced a Premium All-in-One plan in some markets. These are the typical US list prices in 2026:

Plan Monthly billing (US) Annual billing (US) How you cancel
Premium Career About $39.99 a month Lower effective monthly rate; check your checkout page Admin Center, Apple or Google
Premium Business About $69.99 a month Lower effective monthly rate; check your checkout page Admin Center, Apple or Google
Sales Navigator Core $119.99 a month per licence $1,079.88 a year per licence Admin Center (or Apple if bought on iOS)
Sales Navigator Advanced $159.99 a month per licence $1,799.88 a year per licence Admin Center, or your account manager
Recruiter Lite About $170 a month Discounted annual plan available Admin Center, purchaser admin only
Free trial $0, usually for one month Not applicable Converts to paid billing automatically

The Sales Navigator figures come from LinkedIn’s own pricing page. LinkedIn does not publish a single fixed price for Premium Career, Premium Business or Recruiter Lite: it varies by country, by currency, by billing frequency and by whatever promotion you were shown. The amount on your own Purchases page in Admin Center, or on your Apple or Google receipt, is the one that counts.

The One Day Rule That Decides Whether You Get Charged

LinkedIn’s help centre says you need to cancel at least one day before your next scheduled billing date to avoid being charged for another cycle. Cancel on the billing date itself and the renewal charge can still go through.

    • Paid plans run to the end of the cycle. When you cancel a paid subscription, Premium stays active until the end of the billing period you already paid for, then your account drops back to Basic.
    • Free trials end immediately. Cancel a trial and Premium access stops right away, not at the end of the trial.
    • Apple and Google set their own cutoffs. App store subscriptions follow the store’s rules, so cancel at least 24 hours before renewal to be safe.

Your next billing date is shown on the Purchases page in Admin Center, or under Subscriptions in your Apple or Google account. Give yourself two or three days of margin.

How To Cancel LinkedIn Premium On Desktop

This is the main route for anyone who bought Premium directly from LinkedIn, whether on a computer or in a phone browser. It covers Premium Career, Premium Business and Sales Navigator Core bought online.

    1. Sign in at linkedin.com on a computer.
    2. Click the Me icon at the top of your homepage.
    3. Select Premium features from the dropdown.
    4. Click Manage subscription in the left pane under Plan Details. LinkedIn redirects you to LinkedIn Admin Center.
    5. Click Purchases in the left pane of Admin Center.
    6. Select your active subscription.
    7. Click Cancel subscription under Actions. LinkedIn may offer a discount, a downgrade or a reason survey first. Skip past these if you want out.
    8. Click Confirm cancel. Stopping on the offer screen leaves your plan active, which is the most common reason people think they cancelled when they did not.
    9. Check for the confirmation email and screenshot the Purchases page showing the end date.

An alternative path to the same place is the Me icon, then Settings & Privacy, then Account preferences, then Subscriptions & payments, then Manage Premium account. LinkedIn also says that in some jurisdictions, including the United States and Germany, you can cancel through a form without signing in, which helps if you are locked out of the account.

How To Cancel LinkedIn Premium On Android

Android users have the most options. If you bought Premium directly from LinkedIn, the LinkedIn Android app can cancel it:

    1. Open the LinkedIn app and tap your profile photo.
    2. Tap Premium features.
    3. Tap Manage your subscription. You land on the Manage Premium account settings page.
    4. Tap Cancel subscription and follow the prompts to the final confirmation.

If Google Play billed you, LinkedIn says you can cancel on the LinkedIn desktop site (same Admin Center steps as above), in the LinkedIn app, or directly in Google Play. The Play Store route is:

    1. Open the Google Play Store app.
    2. Tap your profile icon, then Payments and subscriptions, then Subscriptions.
    3. Select LinkedIn.
    4. Tap Cancel subscription and confirm.

How To Cancel LinkedIn Premium On iPhone

If you subscribed inside the LinkedIn iPhone or iPad app, Apple holds the subscription and LinkedIn cannot provide billing support for it. The tell is a charge reading APPLE.COM/BILL. LinkedIn says to cancel using the LinkedIn app on an Apple device:

    1. Open the LinkedIn app and tap your profile photo.
    2. Tap Premium features.
    3. Tap Manage your subscription. You are redirected to the Manage Premium account settings page.
    4. Tap Cancel subscription and follow the prompts.

You can also go straight to Apple: open Settings, tap your name, tap Subscriptions, select LinkedIn and tap Cancel Subscription. Either way the plan stays active to the end of the current Apple billing cycle, and LinkedIn notes you have to wait for that cycle to finish before buying a new Premium plan directly.

No Cancel Option On iPhone? Why It Happens

This is where most people get stuck. You open the LinkedIn app on your iPhone, follow the steps, and there is no Cancel subscription button. LinkedIn does not appear in your Apple subscriptions either.

The reason is almost always that you signed up in Safari or another browser on the iPhone rather than inside the app. In that case LinkedIn, not Apple, processed the payment, and LinkedIn’s help centre says cancellation is not available in the iOS app for those subscriptions. You have to cancel on desktop.

    • Best fix: use a laptop or desktop and follow the desktop steps above.
    • No computer handy: open linkedin.com in your phone browser, request the desktop site from the browser menu, and work through Me, Premium features, Manage subscription and Admin Center.
    • Locked out: in the US you can use LinkedIn’s cancel without signing in form, linked from its Cancel Premium help article.

How To Cancel The LinkedIn Premium Free Trial

Free trials are where most unwanted LinkedIn charges start. A trial usually lasts one month, needs a payment method, and renews into a paid plan automatically unless you cancel. Use the same steps as a paid plan; in Admin Center the button may read Cancel free trial instead of Cancel subscription.

Two rules matter more than anything else here:

    • You lose access the moment you cancel. Unlike a paid plan, a cancelled trial ends immediately. If you want the full month, set a reminder for two or three days before the end date and cancel then, not on day one.
    • You cannot start another trial for at least 12 months. LinkedIn says cancelling a free trial makes you ineligible for another one for at least a year, and Sales Navigator trials are limited to members who have not used any LinkedIn free trial in the past 365 days.

Switching to a different Premium plan during a trial also ends the trial benefits, and billing on the new plan starts that day. If you missed the trial deadline and were charged, read the refund section below: LinkedIn’s 7 day window is often still open.

    How To Cancel Sales Navigator

Sales Navigator is cancelled through Admin Center like Premium, but the path in and the consequences are different. For Sales Navigator Core bought online:

    1. Sign in to LinkedIn and click the Me icon at the top right.
    2. Click Settings & Privacy, then Account preferences, and scroll to Subscriptions & payments.
    3. Click Manage Premium account, then Manage Subscription. Admin Center opens.
    4. Click Purchases in the left menu and select the Sales Navigator subscription.
    5. Choose Cancel free trial or Cancel subscription from Actions and follow the steps to the end.

Sales Navigator Advanced bought on the website follows the same Settings, Manage Premium account and Admin Center path. If you bought Sales Navigator through LinkedIn’s sales team, you cancel through your account manager, and if you bought it on an iPhone, you cancel on the iPhone.

The big difference is your data. LinkedIn says saved leads, saved accounts and Sales Navigator messages are removed as soon as you cancel, and there is no option to export or keep them. If you resubscribe later you start with an empty account. Copy your lead lists into a CRM or a spreadsheet before you press cancel.

    How To Cancel Recruiter Lite

Only the purchaser admin can cancel a Recruiter Lite subscription. If someone else bought the seat, they have to do it. In the current Admin Center experience:

    1. Hover over your profile picture on the Recruiter Lite homepage and select Product settings.
    2. Click Manage Account in the left pane.
    3. Click View LinkedIn Admin Center.
    4. Click Purchases and select the Recruiter Lite subscription.
    5. Choose Cancel free trial or Cancel subscription from Actions and complete the steps.

LinkedIn is rolling Admin Center out gradually, so if you do not see it, cancel from Product settings instead. Cancelling Recruiter Lite is permanent in a way Premium is not: projects, job postings and other Recruiter Lite data are deleted, you lose access to responses to InMails you sent, and credits do not move to your personal account. The subscription itself runs to the end of the current billing cycle, and your personal LinkedIn profile is not affected.

Team, Company Paid And Contract Plans

If you never entered a card, you probably cannot cancel the plan yourself, and you do not need to.

    Your situation What to do
Your employer gave you a Sales Navigator seat Ask your company’s admin to remove you from the account
You manage a self-serve team plan (Sales Navigator Advanced, LinkedIn Learning for Teams) Settings & Privacy, then Manage Premium account, then Admin Center, then the subscription, then Cancel subscription
Full LinkedIn Recruiter or any plan on a LinkedIn order form LinkedIn says these are non-cancellable and non-refundable except as set out in the LinkedIn Subscription Agreement; contact your account manager or Corporate Billing
Premium Company Page Cancelled separately from your personal Premium plan, from the Page’s own settings

    Downgrade Instead Of Cancelling

If the price is the problem rather than the product, LinkedIn lets you downgrade to a cheaper Premium plan instead of cancelling. This is only available on the desktop website.

Be careful with promotional pricing. LinkedIn says that if you cancel a promotion or a plan it no longer sells, you lose that price permanently, and changing billing frequency, upgrading or downgrading while a promotion is active forfeits the offer.

What You Lose When You Cancel LinkedIn Premium

After cancellation your account returns to Basic, the free plan, and you keep your profile, connections, posts and messages. At the end of the billing cycle you lose:

Premium feature What happens after you cancel
InMail credits All accumulated credits are lost and cannot be credited back
Premium badge on your profile Removed
Full Who’s viewed your profile list Back to the limited Basic view
Job and applicant insights No longer shown on job postings
Premium insights on Company Pages No longer shown
    LinkedIn Learning access Ends
Unlimited people browsing You may hit the commercial use limit on searches
Advanced search filters and AI tools No longer available
    • Use your InMail credits first. They vanish at the end of the cycle, so send any outstanding messages before the end date.
    • You can remove your card afterwards. LinkedIn will not let you delete a payment method while a paid subscription is active, but you can remove it once the billing cycle ends.

Cancel Premium Or Delete Your LinkedIn Account?

These are very different actions. Most people only want the first.

      Cancel Premium Delete LinkedIn account
Stops the Premium charge Yes Only after you cancel Premium first
Keeps your profile and connections Yes No
Keeps messages and recommendations Yes No
InMail credits Lost at the end of the cycle Lost
Reversible Yes, resubscribe any time Only during a short reactivation window
Where to do it Me, then Premium features, then Manage subscription Settings & Privacy, then Account preferences, then Close account

LinkedIn requires you to cancel any active Premium, Sales Navigator or other paid subscription before it will close the account, so cancel first, wait for confirmation, then close.

Can You Get A LinkedIn Premium Refund?

Sometimes, and more often than with most subscriptions. LinkedIn’s refund policy says Premium Career, Premium Business, Premium All-in-One, Premium Company Page, LinkedIn Learning, Recruiter Lite and Sales Navigator may be refundable within 7 days of the charge if you have not used Premium since then. A previous refund can affect eligibility.

    • Forgot to cancel a trial? This is the classic case. Cancel straight away, do not use any Premium features, and submit a refund request through LinkedIn’s Request a Refund form within 7 days of the charge.
    • Apple billed you. LinkedIn cannot refund App Store purchases. Request the refund from Apple through reportaproblem.apple.com or Apple Support.
    • Google billed you. Refund requests go through Google Play.
    • You live in the EU, Germany, Denmark or the Netherlands. Consumers in the EU get a full refund within 14 days of the subscription starting, and in Germany, Denmark and the Netherlands LinkedIn refunds the unused part of the period after one month’s notice (excluding the first year of an annual plan in Germany).
    • Annual plans in the US. Outside the 7 day window, there is generally no partial refund for unused months; the plan simply runs to the end of the year.
    • Contract plans. Recruiter and other order form purchases are non-refundable except as set out in your agreement.

Ask LinkedIn before going to your bank. A chargeback can get your account restricted, and support resolves most cases faster when you include a screenshot of the cancellation confirmation and the date of the charge.

    Frequently Asked Questions

How do I cancel LinkedIn Premium?

On a computer, click Me, then Premium features, then Manage subscription. In Admin Center, click Purchases, select the subscription, click Cancel subscription and then Confirm cancel.

How do I cancel LinkedIn Premium on iPhone?

If you subscribed in the iPhone app, tap your profile photo, then Premium features, then Manage your subscription, then Cancel subscription, or cancel in iPhone Settings under Subscriptions. If you subscribed in a phone browser, you must cancel on desktop.

When should I cancel to avoid being charged?

At least one day before your next billing date. A couple of days’ margin is safer, especially on Apple or Google billing.

How much does LinkedIn Premium cost?

In the US, Premium Career is around $39.99 a month and Premium Business around $69.99 a month on monthly billing, with lower rates on annual plans. Sales Navigator Core is $119.99 a month and Recruiter Lite is around $170 a month.

Can I cancel the LinkedIn Premium free trial early and keep it?

No. Cancelling a free trial ends Premium access immediately, and you will not be eligible for another trial for at least 12 months.

Can I get a refund on LinkedIn Premium?

Possibly, if you request it within 7 days of the charge and have not used Premium since. Apple and Google purchases are refunded by Apple and Google, not LinkedIn.

What happens to my InMail credits?

They are lost at the end of your billing cycle and cannot be credited back, so use them before the end date.

Does cancelling Sales Navigator delete my saved leads?

Yes. Saved leads, saved accounts and Sales Navigator messages are removed when you cancel, and there is no export option, so copy them out first.

Does cancelling Premium delete my LinkedIn account?

No. Your account becomes a free Basic account with your profile and connections intact. Closing the account is a separate step in Settings.

Can I get my old Premium price back if I rejoin?

Usually not. LinkedIn says cancelled promotions and discontinued plans cannot be repurchased, so you will pay the current price.
