Kent’s web design studios are spread from Canterbury and Whitstable in the east to Tunbridge Wells, Tonbridge and Maidstone in the west, and most of the ones worth shortlisting are small teams led by the people who do the work.
To build this list of the top web design studios in Kent, we checked each firm’s own contact and about pages for a street address or registered office in the county, a live site with 2025 or 2026 activity, and web design as a genuine core service. We excluded agencies that run Kent landing pages from head offices in Warwickshire, Swindon or Devon, studios that give no address at all, and sites whose latest dated work is several years old.
Each entry covers where the studio is based, how it works, the evidence it publishes (named clients, results, founding year, team), pricing where stated, and the kind of business it suits. If you are weighing up web design Kent options, start with the table below.

Dodgems and Floss is based at 19 St Peters Street in Canterbury, with a second office on Great Portland Street in London. It was founded by Andrea Downey, Ben Fitter-Harding and Tony Georgiades, and its about page names a wider team of designers, a web developer, a senior full-stack engineer and a technical engineering manager. The studio says it has worked with clients for more than a decade.
Its digital work brings brand, UX, SEO, content and development together on one project. Clients can buy fixed, scoped commissions or a monthly “pod” with a named strategic lead.
The work page publishes figures for its website projects: a 29% increase in website traffic and enquiries for Chaplin Solutions, a 35% drop in bounce rate on the Purling eCommerce site, average time on site doubled for Mansfields, and a 40% gain in staff efficiency from a unified website and portal for Prime Property Management. Other clients include Sinch, Google, Asahi UK and The Aspinall Foundation. Its insights section had new posts in October 2026. Prices are not published.
It suits organisations that want a rebrand and website delivered together, or a site that connects to a client portal or internal system.
Realising Designs works from a studio at 24 Oxford Street, Whitstable, open by appointment. James Montgomery founded it in 2005, and the studio says each project is led by the same senior person from first call to launch, with specialists such as photographers commissioned and credited.
Services cover brochure and editorial websites, naming and brand identity, WooCommerce and Shopify shops, holiday-rental booking sites, B2B trade portals and internal web apps, plus hosting, care plans and accessibility work. It also runs a two-day web app workshop at a fixed fee of £10,000 that ends with a working application. The studio is Cyber Essentials certified and uses verified green hosting.
Named clients include Kent Housing Group, Canterbury City Council, Kent Council Leaders, Whitstable Oyster Company, Jubilee Clips, Hotel Continental and Eastbridge Hospital. The studio says many clients have stayed with it for years, some for over a decade, and it holds a 5.0 Google rating from 19 reviews.
It suits charities, councils, hospitality businesses and manufacturers that want an experienced lead designer rather than a rotating account team.
Bryter Digital was set up in 2013 and works from 27 St Dunstans Street, Canterbury. Blog posts are written by team members including Scarlett Gregory, Bertie Dent and Jack Dent.
The agency offers web design, website redesign, mobile app development, bespoke software, SEO and content. Its projects often go beyond a standard brochure site: a website rebuild with a bespoke quoting system for Prolighting, an art eCommerce store for Jim Moir, and app and control software for Hornby’s HM | DCC model railway range.
In September 2026 it published its new site for Max Auto Colour, a Canterbury body repair firm, which replaced a long enquiry form with a photo-based quote request and added before-and-after galleries and local area pages. The client reported new work coming in through the site soon after launch. Bryter has also launched the Canterbury Netwalk, a business networking event. No prices are published.
It suits East Kent businesses that need a website with a specific tool built in, such as quoting, booking or product configuration.
Miramedia is based at The House, 29-31 Monson Road in Tunbridge Wells. It describes more than 20 years of building websites for media and events brands, and its team includes developers, creatives and project and account managers.
Its specialism is event and conference websites: programmes, speaker and sponsor pages and registration, built on WordPress with custom themes and plugins. It also offers general WordPress and WooCommerce builds, hosting and support, event technology consultancy on platforms and integrations, and newer AI agent builds. It is a Cloudways Gold Partner.
Clients shown on the site include DWTC, Clarion Events, UBM, Step Exhibitions, GTR and BOHS. The studio publishes technical articles regularly, with three posts in late October 2026 covering an AI concierge for conference visitors and GEO audit tooling. Prices are not listed.
It suits exhibition organisers, conference producers and B2B media companies that need a site built around event content and registration.
kube creative is the new name for KC Web Design Ltd, incorporated in November 2007. Its registered office is at King Arthurs Court, Maidstone Road, Charing, and it serves Canterbury, Herne Bay, Whitstable and Margate. Paul Ledbrook is the designer and developer behind it.
Builds are mainly WordPress and WooCommerce. The published process runs from discovery and design in the first weeks, through build, to content, SEO, speed and accessibility checks before launch, then redirects and tracking at go-live.
Care plans are priced openly: Essentials at £100 a month, Growth at £200 a month with six hours of changes, and Partner at £300 a month with same-day support and quarterly strategy calls. Builds are quoted separately. Case studies include around fourteen years of work for Fujitsu, including its ActivateNow conference site, as well as Arxygen, Go To Hear and Songbird Wine. New articles were published in September and October 2026.
It suits businesses that want one experienced developer to build and then look after a WordPress site over many years.
AB Web Agency’s registered office is at The Business Terrace, Maidstone House, King Street in Maidstone, and it is listed with the Kent Invicta Chamber of Commerce. Angela runs the discovery calls.
The studio builds WordPress and Shopify websites and online shops, and is a Shopify Partner. It also offers care plans and hosting, strategy work, AI and automation, and audits of existing sites and Shopify stores. New enquiries start with a free 30-minute discovery call, and it offers a free website audit delivered as a short personal video within two working days.
Portfolio clients include Samsian Ltd, The Private GP Clinic, Kenden Parking, Court Farm Butchers, Psychology Business School and Lunita Home. Pricing is quoted per project after the discovery call. The site was updated in June 2026.
It suits retailers and service firms in mid Kent choosing between Shopify and WordPress, or wanting an outside review of an underperforming site before rebuilding.
Spider Web Services is based on Whistler Road in Tonbridge. It runs a sister business, We Grow Trades, focused on lead generation for tradespeople.
Websites are sold as part of tiered packages that combine design with local SEO, Google Business Profile work, paid ads and a CRM with missed-call text-back and review requests. Prices are published: Business Basics from £495 setup and £20 a month for a one-page site, Digital Starter at £795 setup and £99 a month for six pages, and Local Growth at £2,250 setup and £495 a month for up to 18 pages, with larger plans above that.
Case studies include Bevan Interiors, Helpers for Seniors and Namaste, and the site lists builds for local firms such as Protego Pest Control, TopBox Lofts and DGB Scaffolding. It holds a 5.0 Google rating from 15 reviews, and its blog was updated in June 2026, including a Kent website cost guide.
It suits builders, cleaners and other trades in west Kent who want a site and a steady flow of local enquiries for a predictable monthly fee.
Many agencies ranking for web design Kent searches run town pages from offices in Leamington Spa, Swindon or Devon. Look for a street address on the contact page or in the footer. Every studio on this list gives one, from Dodgems and Floss on St Peters Street to Miramedia on Monson Road. If you want face-to-face meetings, ask whether the studio has a working office or a registered address only.
Miramedia is the clear specialist pick for event websites, and AB Web Agency for Shopify. Dodgems and Floss and Realising Designs suit projects where the brand needs work too. Spider Web Services is closer to a lead generation service with a website attached. A web design agency Kent firms use for marketing as well can save time, but confirm who designs and builds the site.
As a typical UK market range, a small brochure site from a local studio costs £1,000 to £6,000, a bespoke business site £6,000 to £20,000, and complex eCommerce or web application projects £20,000 and up. Some Kent studios use setup plus monthly pricing instead, as Spider Web Services does from £495 setup. Ongoing care typically costs £50 to £300 a month; kube creative publishes plans at £100, £200 and £300.
Ask for a client name and a measurable change. Dodgems and Floss publishes figures such as the 29% rise in traffic and enquiries for Chaplin Solutions, and Bryter Digital describes how its Max Auto Colour quote form changed enquiries. If a studio shows only logos, ask to speak to a recent client.
Most web design studios in Kent quote four to eight weeks for a small business site and longer for eCommerce or custom features. kube creative sets out a roughly six-week path from discovery to launch. With monthly packages, check the minimum term, who owns the site and domain, and what happens if you leave.
For a combined rebrand and website with published results, start with Dodgems and Floss. Realising Designs suits clients who want one senior designer throughout, and Bryter Digital fits sites that need a custom tool built in. Event organisers should talk to Miramedia. For long-term WordPress care, kube creative publishes clear monthly plans, AB Web Agency covers Shopify and WordPress shops in mid Kent, and Spider Web Services suits trades that want leads as well as a site.
Before you sign with any web design Kent studio, check five things: a real local address, recent named case studies, a fixed scope and price in writing, who owns the domain, hosting and site files, and the minimum term and cost of any monthly plan.
