How To Cancel Factor Meals In 2026: Beat The 5 Day Cutoff

Short answer: sign in at factor75.com, open Plan Settings, scroll to Status and click Deactivate My Plan, then Cancel Anyway, pick a reason and click Deactivate Now. In the app, tap the menu, then Settings, then Personal Information, then Delete Account, then Continue to deactivate. Do it before 11:59 pm five days before your next delivery, or that week’s box still ships and is charged.

Factor, the prepared meal brand owned by HelloFresh and still sold at factor75.com, does not lock you into a contract. You can stop at any time. What catches people is the weekly cutoff: once a box locks, cancelling your plan does not stop it, and the charge for that box goes through even though your plan now says deactivated.

This guide covers the website and app routes, the cutoff and how to read it, when skipping a week makes more sense than cancelling, what happens to an intro discount spread across several boxes, how to reach Factor by chat or phone, what happens to a box that is already charged, and the difference between deactivating your plan and deleting your account.

First, Check Who Is Billing You

Factor bills you directly for almost every subscription, but it shares a parent company and a look with HelloFresh, and people regularly try to cancel the wrong one. Check the charge on your statement first.

What your statement saysWho bills youWhere to cancel
FACTOR, FACTOR75 or FACTOR_Factor directly (US)factor75.com Plan Settings, or the Factor_ app
FACTOR on a Canadian cardFactor Canadafactormeals.ca Plan Settings, same steps as below

PAYPAL *FACTORFactor, paid through PayPalDeactivate in Factor first, then remove the automatic payment in PayPal if you want
A Factor box you never orderedUsually a gift, or a second account under another emailSign in to every email you use and check Plan Settings

Factor and HelloFresh accounts are not linked. Cancelling one does nothing to the other, even though both arrive in similar boxes and both use a five day cutoff.

How Much Factor Meals Cost In 2026

Factor charges per meal, and the per meal price drops as the weekly box gets bigger. A flat shipping fee is added to every delivery, and Factor says it applies to all orders, so an intro discount on meals does not make shipping free. Premium dishes and add-ons such as breakfasts, snacks and juices cost extra on top.

Box sizeTypical price per meal (US)ShippingRenews
Small (around 6 meals a week)Highest per meal, roughly $15 to $16Flat fee per box, roughly $11 to $13Every week until skipped or cancelled
Mid (8 to 10 meals a week)Roughly $13 to $16Same flat feeEvery week until skipped or cancelled
Large (12 meals or more a week)Lowest per meal, roughly $11 to $12Same flat feeEvery week until skipped or cancelled
Intro offerA percentage or dollar discount, often spread over several boxesUsually still chargedConverts to full price automatically

Factor changes prices and box sizes often, and independent price checks in 2026 have put a 10 meal week anywhere from about $140 to $153 delivered. The only figure that matters is the one in your account under Plan Settings and on the upcoming delivery, so check it there rather than relying on any published number, including ours.

The 5 Day Cutoff That Decides Whether You Get Charged

Every Factor box locks at 11:59 pm, five days before its delivery date. Up to that moment you can skip it, change meals or cancel. After it, the box is processed, charged and sent to the kitchen, and nothing you do in your account will stop it.

There is one wrinkle worth knowing. Factor’s own pages do not agree on the time zone: its cancellation help page gives the cutoff as 11:59 pm Pacific, while its How It Works page says 11:59 pm Central. Central is two hours earlier, so treat that as your real deadline.

Your delivery dayCancel or skip by (11:59 pm)
    MondayThe Wednesday before
    TuesdayThe Thursday before
    WednesdayThe Friday before
    ThursdayThe Saturday before
    FridayThe Sunday before
    SaturdayThe Monday before

The simplest check: open your upcoming deliveries. If the next box still lets you edit meals or shows Edit Delivery, it has not locked. If it shows as processing or the meals are greyed out, you have missed that week and your cancellation will take effect from the following one.

How To Cancel Factor Meals On The Website

The website is the most reliable route because you can see the next delivery date and the confirmation on one screen. Factor calls cancelling “deactivating” your plan.

    1. Sign in at factor75.com. Use the email the boxes are tied to. In Canada, use factormeals.ca.
    2. Check your next delivery. Note the date and whether it is still editable. If it has locked, that box will ship whatever you do next.
    3. Open Plan Settings. It is in the account menu under your name.
    4. Scroll to the Status section and click Deactivate My Plan.
    5. Get past the offers. Factor shows alternatives such as skipping weeks, a smaller box or a discount on your next orders. Choose one if it suits you, or click Cancel Anyway.
    6. Pick a reason and click Deactivate Now.
    7. Confirm the result. Your plan status should now read deactivated or inactive, and your upcoming weeks should show no deliveries. Screenshot it and keep the confirmation email.

If you stop at the offer screen, your plan stays active. That is the most common reason people think they cancelled Factor and then receive another box.

How To Cancel Factor Meals On The App

The Factor_ app on iPhone and Android hides cancellation behind a button that is labelled Delete Account, which puts many people off. In the current app it starts the same deactivation flow as the website.

    1. Open the Factor_ app and sign in.
    2. Tap the three horizontal lines in the top right corner.
    3. Go to Settings, then Personal Information.
    4. Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account.
    5. Tap Continue to deactivate. This deactivates your plan; it does not erase your account.
    6. Choose a reason and tap Deactivate Now.
    7. Check the home screen. Upcoming weeks should no longer show a scheduled box.

Factor bills through your account, not through the App Store or Google Play, so there is nothing to cancel in your iPhone Subscriptions or Play Store settings. If the app misbehaves, use the website route instead; it does the same thing.

How To Cancel Factor By Chat, Phone Or Email

You do not need to talk to anyone to cancel Factor, but if the self-service route fails or you need help with a charge, Factor’s own support account lists three channels:

    • Live chat: the chat icon on the right of factor75.com pages, and in the help section of the app. This is usually the fastest.
    • Phone: 888-573-5727. Ask the agent to deactivate the plan, confirm whether your next box has already locked, and send a confirmation email.
    • Email: help@factor75.com, from the address on your account, with your full name and a clear request to deactivate the subscription.

The cutoff still applies to these channels. An email sent the night before the lock may not be read before it, so if you are close to the deadline, use the website or app yourself and contact support afterwards.

Skip A Week, Pause Or Cancel: Which Should You Use?

Factor gives you three ways to stop boxes, and they behave differently.

    OptionWhat it doesBest for
Skip WeekRemoves one chosen delivery; the plan restarts the week afterTravel, a full freezer, a single busy week
Skip several weeksSkip each upcoming week individually, as far ahead as the calendar showsA month or so off with a clear return date
Deactivate My PlanStops all future deliveries indefinitely until you reactivateLeaving Factor, or a break with no end date

How to skip a week on Factor

    1. On the website: sign in, select the delivery date you want to skip, click Edit Delivery and choose Skip Week.
    2. In the app: go to the week, tap the three dots next to the delivery date and choose Skip Week.

The same cutoff applies: skip before 11:59 pm five days before that delivery.

    How to pause Factor meals

Factor does not have a separate pause button with an end date. Your choices are skipping weeks one by one, which keeps the plan active and restarts automatically, or deactivating, which Factor itself describes as skipping deliveries indefinitely until you reactivate. The trap with skipping is the restart: the first week you did not skip will lock and ship as normal, so put a reminder in your calendar for the cutoff before it.

    Cancelling During An Intro Discount

Most people join Factor on an introductory offer, and those offers are often split across several boxes rather than taken off the first one, for example a large discount on box one and smaller ones on the next few. That structure is what shapes the cost of leaving early.

    • You keep the discount you already used. Factor’s published terms do not describe charging back an intro discount on a box you already received, and cancelling after one discounted box is common.
    • You lose the parts you have not reached. A discount on boxes two to five only applies if those boxes ship. Deactivate after box one and the rest of the offer goes with it.
    • Skipping can waste the offer too. Discounts usually apply to the next boxes that actually ship, but some offers have expiry dates, so skipping for weeks can let the remaining discount lapse.
    • Perk promotions end with the plan. Offer terms for add-on perks, such as free breakfasts for a year, say the benefit becomes invalid if the subscription is cancelled and is not reinstated if you come back.
    • The full price arrives automatically. Once the offer runs out, the next box renews at the standard per meal price plus shipping.

If you only wanted to try Factor, set a reminder for the cutoff of your second box on the day you sign up. That is the box where most surprise charges come from.

What Happens To A Box That Is Already Charged

This is the edge case most Factor complaints are about. Factor processes orders immediately after the weekly cutoff and says it cannot modify or cancel an order once it has been processed. So if you deactivate after the lock:

    • The locked box still ships on its scheduled date, and you are charged for it.
    • Your deactivation still counts from the following week. You will not receive a second box.
    • The charge is not reversed because you cancelled. Factor treats it as a valid order.
    • The meals are yours. Factor meals are fresh, not frozen, and most last several days in the fridge; many can also be frozen if you will not get through them.

If you will not be home for a locked delivery, change the delivery address or instructions if the account still allows it, or ask a neighbour to take it in. Customer care will sometimes help with a locked order in exceptional cases, but do not rely on it.

    What Happens After You Cancel

    • No more weekly charges. Once deactivated, no new boxes are scheduled and no new charges are made, apart from any box that had already locked.
    • Your account stays open. Deactivating does not erase your login, order history, saved address or saved payment method. Factor keeps them so you can reactivate.
    • You can reactivate any time. Signing back in and reactivating restarts deliveries on your old plan, so check the box size, meals and price before the first new cutoff.
    • Expect win-back emails. Factor often sends rejoin offers. They are optional; ignoring them changes nothing.
    • Unused account credits stay on the account. Credits are tied to your account and are typically only usable against future boxes, so a deactivated account cannot spend them.

Cancel Factor Or Delete Your Account?

The app’s Delete Account button makes this confusing, so here is the difference. Deactivating stops deliveries. Deleting your account removes your personal data, and Factor treats that as a separate privacy request.

    Deactivate (cancel) FactorDelete Factor account
Stops weekly boxes and chargesYes, from the next unlocked weekYes, but deactivate first
Keeps order history and saved detailsYesNo
    Unused creditsStay on the accountLost
Rejoin laterYes, reactivate in Plan SettingsNew account needed
New customer offers laterUsually rejoin offers onlyNot guaranteed; offers are often limited per household
Where to do itPlan Settings, or app Settings, then Personal Information, then Delete Account, then Continue to deactivatePrivacy request through Factor’s privacy policy page or customer care

How to delete a Factor account

Deactivate the plan first and wait for the confirmation, then make sure no locked box is still pending. After that, submit a deletion request through the privacy section linked in the footer of factor75.com, or ask customer care by chat or email to delete your personal data. Keep the confirmation, since the request is processed separately from the cancellation.

Can You Get A Factor Refund Or Credit?

Not for simply changing your mind. Factor charges weekly, does not refund a box that was processed before you cancelled, and does not prorate anything when you leave. Money or credit does come back in a few situations:

    • Damaged, missing or spoiled meals. Report it to customer care as soon as the box arrives, with photos. Factor usually resolves these with account credit or a refund for the affected meals.
    • A late or lost delivery. Contact support the same day. Food that arrives warm or days late is a quality problem, not a cancellation question.
    • A charge after a confirmed deactivation. If a box was charged for a week that had not locked when you cancelled, send your confirmation screenshot to support and ask for the charge to be reversed.
    • A charge you never authorised. If you never signed up, tell support plainly and ask for the account to be closed and the charge refunded.

Ask whether a fix will come back as a card refund or as account credit. Credit is only useful if you keep ordering, so if you are leaving, say so and ask for the refund to go to your card. A chargeback with your bank should be the last step, after support has had a chance to fix it.
