Short answer: sign in at fubo.tv in a web browser, select your profile, go to Settings, then My Account, then Subscription, and select Cancel at the bottom of the page. Decline the discount offer and confirm. Do it at least a day before your next billing date. If Roku bills you, cancel at my.roku.com or on the Roku device instead, because Fubo cannot end a Roku subscription for you.
Fubo is one of the more expensive live TV streaming services, so an unwanted renewal hurts. The cancellation itself takes a couple of minutes, but three things trip people up: the cancel option is not in every Fubo app, a trial cancelled on the website ends straight away, and anyone billed through Roku has to cancel somewhere else entirely.
This guide covers every route, what the 2026 plans cost, what changed (and what did not) after Fubo combined with Hulu + Live TV under Disney, how to drop add-ons without losing your base plan, and when a refund is possible.
Where you cancel depends on where you signed up. Look at the charge on your bank or card statement before you do anything else.
| What your statement says | Who bills you | Where to cancel |
| FUBO, FUBOTV or similar | Fubo directly | fubo.tv in a web browser, under My Account |
| ROKU, often with Fubo named in the line | Roku | my.roku.com or the Roku device itself |
| HULU | Hulu (this is Hulu + Live TV, not Fubo) | Your Hulu account page |
| APPLE.COM/BILL | Apple | iPhone Settings, then your name, then Subscriptions |
| AMAZON or AMZN Digital | Amazon | Amazon’s Memberships and Subscriptions page |
| No Fubo charge at all | A promotion, partner or another person’s account | Check which email you signed up with, then contact Fubo support |
Fubo’s own help centre only describes two billing routes: Fubo itself and Roku. If you see an Apple or Amazon charge you believe is for Fubo, check the subscription list in that store first, because the store, not Fubo, would control it.
Fubo’s prices moved twice in the space of a few months. During its carriage dispute with NBCUniversal, Fubo cut its main plans to $73.99 a month. When NBC, Telemundo and the NBC Sports channels came back in mid 2026, Fubo raised most plans by $15 a month, with the new price landing on each subscriber’s next bill. These are the US list prices reported after that increase:
| Plan | US price (2026) | Notes |
| Sports (Sports + News) | $64.99 a month | Sports-focused skinny bundle, up from $55.99 |
| Essential / Pro | $88.99 a month | The main plan most people are on |
| Elite | $98.99 a month | More channels, including extra sports networks |
| Ultimate | $113.99 a month | Elite plus premium sports add-ons |
| Deluxe | $118.99 a month | Top tier |
| Fubo Latino | $19.99 a month | Spanish-language plan, up from $14.99 from July 2026 |
| Regional sports fee | Varies by ZIP code, up to about $15.99 a month | Added on top of the plan price in some markets |
Plan names and line-ups depend on your ZIP code, and taxes and the regional sports fee are added on top, so the total on your Subscription page is the number that matters. All plans renew monthly until you cancel. Cloud DVR is included on all US plans, so you do not pay separately for recordings.
Disney and Fubo agreed in January 2025 to combine Hulu + Live TV with Fubo, and the deal closed on 29 October 2025. Disney now holds 70% of the combined company, and Fubo is formally a Disney affiliate. The company reports the two services together, at roughly 6.2 million North American subscribers after closing.
For subscribers, almost nothing changed. Fubo’s help centre says both services are still separate, that existing accounts carry on as usual, that no action is needed and that there are no combined plans or bundles. In practice that means:
Fubo has also announced plans to sell its Fubo Sports plan through ESPN. If you bought Fubo through a partner offer like that, check where the charge comes from in the table at the top before you cancel.
Fubo renews automatically every month until you cancel. Cancel any time before your next billing date and you will not be charged again, and you keep watching until the end of the period you already paid for. There are no refunds for partial months, so cancelling on the first day of a cycle or the last day costs the same.
Give yourself a full day of margin anyway. Billing runs to the hour, not the calendar day, and Fubo customers regularly report being charged late in the evening before the date they expected. Your next billing date is on the Subscription page under My Account, so check it before you start.
One exception: if you joined on a promotional offer with a commitment period, Fubo says an early cancellation fee may apply if you leave before that period ends. Most plans have no cancellation fee at all.
This is the route for anyone billed by Fubo directly, which is most subscribers. Use a web browser on a computer or phone. The TV apps, and many versions of the mobile apps, do not show a cancel button.
Take a screenshot of the confirmation. If you are charged again later, it is the quickest way to get support to fix it.
If you signed up inside the Fubo channel on a Roku device and paid through Roku, Roku holds the subscription. Fubo’s website will not let you cancel it, and Fubo support will send you back to Roku. There are two ways to do it.
Do not remove the Fubo channel from your Roku and assume that cancels the subscription. Deleting the channel and cancelling the billing are separate steps, and only the second one stops the charge.
This is where most people get stuck. They open the Fubo app on their phone or TV, look for a cancel button and cannot find one. That is normal: Fubo handles account management on the web, and its Apple TV help page points subscribers to fubo.tv/account to cancel or resubscribe.
Signing out of the app, uninstalling it or switching off the TV changes nothing about billing. Only the cancellation on fubo.tv, Roku or the store that bills you does.
Fubo usually offers new subscribers a free trial, and its length has varied between promotions, with five and seven day trials both common in 2025 and 2026. The trial end date is shown at sign-up and on your Subscription page, so read it there rather than counting the days yourself. At the end of the trial Fubo charges the full plan price automatically.
You cancel a trial the same way as a paid plan, but how the trial ends depends on where you signed up:
| Where you started the trial | How to cancel | When access ends |
| fubo.tv website or Fubo app | fubo.tv, My Account, Subscription, Cancel | Immediately, the moment you cancel |
| Roku | my.roku.com or the Star button on the device | At the end of the trial period |
That first row catches people out. If you signed up on the website to watch a specific game on Sunday, cancelling on Friday ends your access on Friday. Fubo also says a cancelled trial will not be replaced with another one, so you only get one go.
The practical answer: if you only want the trial for one event, watch it, then cancel the same day. If you want to test the service, set a reminder for the day before the trial ends and cancel then, ideally in the morning rather than late at night.
Add-ons are extra channel packs and features billed on top of your base plan, such as extra sports networks, international packages, Latino channels or extra screens. If your bill has crept up, removing an add-on may be all you need.
If you cancel your whole subscription, the add-ons stop with it. Be aware that if you reactivate later, Fubo automatically reselects the add-ons you had before, so remove any you do not want on the reactivation screen before you confirm.
No. Fubo’s help centre states plainly that it does not offer the ability to pause or suspend a subscription. Older guides describing a Fubo pause button are out of date.
If you only want a break, for example between football seasons, cancel instead. You keep access until the end of the month you paid for, and you can restart later from the same account with your settings and favourites intact. The trade-off is that you will not get a new free trial when you come back, and you will be billed for the full plan as soon as you reactivate.
| What you had | What happens after you cancel |
| Live channels and on-demand | Available until the end of your paid billing period |
| Cloud DVR recordings | Kept while you are still in the paid period; Fubo only promises they survive if you reactivate before it ends |
| Add-ons | End with the base plan |
| Profiles, favourites and settings | Saved to your account if you restart |
| Free trial access | Ends immediately if started on the website |
| Fubo account | Stays open, and may give you access to Fubo Free |
Cancelling stops the billing. Deleting removes your account and personal data permanently. Most people only need to cancel.
| Cancel Fubo | Delete Fubo account | |
| Stops future charges | Yes | Yes, but cancel first |
| Access to the rest of the paid month | Yes | No, access ends immediately |
| Keeps settings, favourites and history | Yes | No |
| Fubo Free access | Possibly | No |
| Reversible | Yes, reactivate any time | No, deletion is permanent |
| Where to do it | fubo.tv, My Account, Subscription, Cancel | Fubo Privacy Center, Delete all my data |
To delete your Fubo account, cancel the subscription first and let it run out. Then open Fubo’s Privacy Center (linked from its help centre), choose to make a privacy request, select Delete all my data, enter the email on your account and follow the verification email. Fubo warns that deletion is permanent and that you lose access immediately, which is why it recommends waiting until your paid time has ended. If Roku bills you, cancel on Roku before deleting, or the Roku charge can continue.
Usually not. Fubo’s cancellation policy says there are no refunds for prepaid or partial months of service. You keep access until the end of the cycle instead. That said, there are a few situations worth raising with support:
A chargeback through your bank is the last resort. It can get the money back, but it is slower than support and can leave the account in a disputed state if you want to return later. Try support first and keep a record of every contact.
| Symptom | Likely cause | Fix |
| No cancel button in the app | Fubo’s apps do not handle cancellation | Sign in at fubo.tv in a browser and use My Account |
| No cancel option on fubo.tv either | Roku or another store bills you | Cancel where the billing lives (see the table at the top) |
| Subscription page still shows a next billing date | You stopped at the discount offer screen | Go through the steps again and confirm until an end date appears |
| Charged the night before the trial ended | The trial ran to the hour of sign-up | Contact support straight away; next time cancel a full day early |
| Charged after cancelling Fubo on your TV | Removing the app does not cancel billing | Cancel on fubo.tv or Roku and check for an end date |
| Charged after cancelling Hulu + Live TV | Fubo and Hulu + Live TV are separate accounts | Cancel Fubo separately |
| Bill higher than the plan price | Regional sports fee, taxes, add-ons or the 2026 price rise | Check the breakdown on the Subscription page and remove add-ons |
| Charged with no Fubo account you recognise | An old account on a different email, or a family member’s sign-up | Search your inboxes for Fubo emails and sign in to each account |
If none of these explains it, contact Fubo support through its help centre and include the date, amount and last four digits of the card charged, along with your cancellation confirmation.
Sign in at fubo.tv in a browser, select your profile, then go to Settings, My Account, Subscription and select Cancel at the bottom of the page. Confirm past the discount offer. If Roku bills you, cancel at my.roku.com instead.
You generally cannot. The Fubo apps on phones and TVs do not include a cancel option, so use fubo.tv in a web browser, even on your phone.
Cancel on fubo.tv at least a day before the trial end date shown on your Subscription page. A trial started on the website ends as soon as you cancel, so time it after anything you want to watch.
It varies by promotion, with five and seven day trials both common. Check the exact end date at sign-up rather than relying on a number from an old article.
After the mid 2026 increase, the main Essential and Pro plans are $88.99 a month in the US, Elite is $98.99 and the Sports plan is $64.99, before taxes and any regional sports fee.
No. Fubo does not refund prepaid or partial months. You keep access until the end of the billing period instead.
No. Even though the two businesses combined under Disney, the services, accounts and billing are still separate. Cancel each one on its own.
No. Fubo does not offer a pause. Cancel and reactivate later instead.
They stay available until your paid period ends, and they are kept if you reactivate before then. After the subscription has ended, assume they are gone.
Cancel first and let your paid time run out, then submit a Delete all my data request through Fubo’s Privacy Center and confirm it from the email Fubo sends.
