Short answer: sign in at peacocktv.com in a browser, open Account, choose Cancel All Subscriptions and confirm until you see the on-screen confirmation. Do it no later than the day before your next billing date. If there is no cancel option, Apple, Google, Roku, Amazon, Xfinity, Spectrum or another partner is billing you, and you cancel with them instead.
Peacock is simple to leave once you know who holds the bill, and that is exactly where most people get stuck. The service is sold directly, through every major app store, through Roku and Amazon, and bundled into Xfinity, Spectrum, Walmart+ and Instacart+ memberships. Peacock itself says plainly that it cannot cancel a plan that a partner bills for you.
This guide covers every route, the August 2026 price increase that pushed many people to look for the exit, the cheaper option of downgrading instead of cancelling, what happens to annual plans, and the difference between cancelling and deleting your account.
Look at the charge on your bank or card statement before you do anything else. The merchant name tells you where the cancel button lives.
| What your statement says | Who bills you | Where to cancel |
| PEACOCK or PEACOCKTV | Peacock directly | peacocktv.com, Account page |
| APPLE.COM/BILL | Apple App Store | iPhone Settings, then Subscriptions |
| GOOGLE *Peacock | Google Play | Play Store, then Payments and subscriptions |
| ROKU | Roku | Roku device or my.roku.com |
| AMAZON or Prime Video Channels | Amazon | Amazon Memberships and Subscriptions |
| Part of your Xfinity bill | Comcast Xfinity | xfinity.com/account |
| Part of your Spectrum bill or a Spectrum offer | Spectrum | Peacock account, using the Spectrum steps below |
| WALMART+ or INSTACART only | A membership perk | The perk ends with the membership; see the partner section |
| DIRECTV, Verizon or Xumo TV | That provider | Your account with that provider |
Peacock raised the price of every plan on 18 August 2026, its fourth increase in four years. New and returning customers paid the new rates straight away. Existing monthly subscribers moved to them on their first billing date on or after 17 September 2026. Annual subscribers and anyone on a promotional rate keep their old price until that plan or offer renews.
| Plan | Monthly (US) | Annual (US) | Before August 2026 | What you get |
| Peacock Select | $8.99 | $89.99 | $7.99 or $79.99 | NBC and Bravo shows, with ads; no live sports, movies or Originals |
| Peacock Premium | $12.99 | $129.99 | $10.99 or $109.99 | Full library, Originals, movies and live sports, with ads |
| Peacock Premium Plus | $19.99 | $199.99 | $16.99 or $169.99 | Premium without most ads, plus your live local NBC channel and downloads |
Every plan renews automatically at whatever the price is when it renews. Peacock’s terms promise advance notice of a price change before your next billing date, and if you do not want to pay the new rate, you have to cancel before it takes effect. Discounted rates for students and for military, teachers, medical workers and first responders have been offered on Premium, so check the price shown in your own account rather than the list price.
Peacock’s terms of use say you must cancel no later than the day before your next recurring billing date to avoid being charged for the next term. Cancel on the billing date itself and you have probably paid for another month, or another year on an annual plan.
Your next billing date is shown on the Account page at peacocktv.com, under Plans and Payment. If a partner bills you, the date that matters is the partner’s renewal date, not Peacock’s, and Apple and Google generally want you to cancel at least 24 hours before their renewal. The safest habit is to cancel two or three days early. You lose nothing by doing so, because Peacock keeps your access running to the end of the period you already paid for.
This is the route for anyone billed directly by Peacock, which includes most people who signed up at peacocktv.com with a card or PayPal. Use a browser on a computer or phone. The cancel option is easiest to find in a browser; the Peacock app on a TV or games console generally does not offer it.
If you subscribed inside the Peacock app on an iPhone, iPad or Apple TV, Apple holds the subscription. The charge reads APPLE.COM/BILL, and Peacock cannot stop it.
The same applies to the Apple TV and Peacock bundle when you bought it through Apple: it appears in the same Subscriptions list. If you bought the bundle through Peacock, cancel it on the Peacock website instead.
This also covers Peacock bought on a Google TV or Chromecast through Google Play. If Peacock is not in your Play subscriptions, you are probably billed by Peacock directly, so go back to the website route.
Roku is one of the most common billing routes and one of the most searched, because people try to cancel inside the Peacock app on the TV and find nothing there. If you subscribed with your Roku account, Roku bills you and you cancel through Roku.
You can also do it in a browser: sign in at my.roku.com, open Manage your subscriptions, find Peacock and choose Unsubscribe. Removing the Peacock channel from your Roku home screen does not cancel anything.
Amazon can bill you for Peacock in two ways: as a Prime Video Channels add-on, or as an in-app purchase through the Peacock app on a Fire TV. Both are cancelled at Amazon.
If you started a Peacock trial as a Prime Video channel, it converts to a paid subscription when the trial ends unless you cancel through Amazon first.
Comcast owns Peacock, and Xfinity customers get it in several ways: as an included perk for some Xfinity members, through StreamSaver bundles, or as a paid Premium Plus upgrade on the Xfinity bill. Anything that appears on your Xfinity bill is managed at xfinity.com/account, not at peacocktv.com. Xfinity says that when you cancel Premium Plus or the Peacock promotion through them, you lose access immediately, not at the end of the month, so time it accordingly.
The trap here is paying twice. Xfinity warns that an existing paid Peacock subscription billed somewhere else keeps running until you cancel it, and overlapping periods are not refunded. If you claimed a free Xfinity offer, check that your old direct, Apple or Roku subscription is actually cancelled.
Peacock’s help centre gives two sets of steps depending on whether your Spectrum offer period is still running.
DIRECTV, Verizon and Xumo TV work like Xfinity: cancel through your account with the provider.
Membership perks are not really subscriptions you can cancel on their own. You are not paying Peacock, so there is nothing at Peacock to stop.
| Partner | Peacock tier | How to stop it |
| Walmart+ | Premium, with ads | Switch the perk to Paramount+ at your next switch window (offered every three months), or cancel Walmart+ itself |
| Instacart+ | Premium, with ads | The perk is tied to your Instacart+ membership; cancel Instacart+ in the Instacart app if you want to end both |
| Apple TV and Peacock bundle | Premium or Premium Plus | Cancel wherever you bought it: Apple Subscriptions or the Peacock Account page |
| Xfinity StreamSaver | Varies by bundle | Change the bundle at xfinity.com/account |
One thing to check carefully. If you paid Walmart extra to upgrade the perk to ad-free Premium Plus, that upgrade is a paid add-on and needs removing separately. And Instacart requires that you have no active Peacock subscription when you activate its perk, so if you somehow ended up with both, cancel the paid one through whoever bills it. If you want the full exit steps for the parent memberships, see our guides on how to cancel Walmart+ and how to cancel Xfinity.
This is the single biggest sticking point. People sign in to peacocktv.com, find no Cancel All Subscriptions option, call or chat with Peacock, and are told to go elsewhere. That is not a runaround. Peacock’s help centre says outright that it cannot cancel a subscription billed by a partner, because the partner holds your payment details.
If the August 2026 increase is the problem rather than Peacock itself, a smaller plan may be enough. Moving from Premium Plus to Premium saves $7 a month, and moving from Premium to Select saves another $4, as long as you can live with ads and, on Select, without live sports, movies and Peacock Originals.
Peacock’s help centre lists the same Change Plan screen for people billed through Roku, Apple, Amazon or Google. Retention offers are worth a look too: people starting a cancellation have reported discounted rates for several months, though offers vary and are not guaranteed.
Annual plans follow the same steps, but the money works differently. Cancelling an annual plan stops the next yearly renewal; it does not end your access early or return the unused months. Peacock’s terms say no prorated refunds or credits are issued unless the law requires it or you make an immediate upgrade.
A large share of Peacock sign-ups come from a single event: an exclusive NFL game, NBA nights, Premier League weekends, WWE premium events or the Olympics. Peacock does not sell event passes, so watching any of these means a full monthly plan that renews automatically. Live sports are not included in Select, so these subscribers are on Premium or Premium Plus.
You can cancel the moment you sign up. Access continues to the end of the month you paid for, so the game is still yours and you are guaranteed not to be charged again. If you plan to come back for the next season, note that prices for returning customers are the current ones, not whatever you paid last time.
| What | After you cancel |
| Access to shows and sports | Continues to the end of the current billing period, then stops |
| Plans cancelled through Xfinity | Access can end immediately |
| Your Peacock account and profiles | Stay in place; you can sign in and resubscribe |
| Watch history and My Stuff list | Kept with the account |
| Downloads (Premium Plus) | Stop playing once the plan ends |
| Add-ons | Removed along with the base plan when you choose Cancel All Subscriptions |
Peacock no longer has a free tier for new customers, so once your plan ends you cannot keep streaming without paying. You can still sign in to manage the account or resubscribe.
Most people only need to cancel. Deleting goes further, and because a Peacock login is an NBCUniversal profile, it can affect more than Peacock.
| Cancel subscription | Delete Peacock account | |
| Stops Peacock billing | Yes, from the next billing date | Removes direct plans, but partner billing must be cancelled with the partner |
| Keeps watch history and profiles | Yes | No |
| Affects other NBCUniversal sites and apps | No | It can |
| Reversible | Yes, resubscribe any time | No, you start again with a new account |
| Where to do it | peacocktv.com, Account, Cancel All Subscriptions | The NBCUniversal privacy page linked from Peacock’s help centre |
To delete your Peacock account, cancel any partner billing first, then follow the privacy request steps from Peacock’s help article on deleting your account. Peacock warns that deletion removes your plan and may be treated as a cancellation under its terms, so do not expect a refund for the rest of the period.
Usually not. Peacock’s help centre says no refunds or credits are issued unless required by law, and the terms add that there are no prorated refunds for partial months or years. There are still a few situations worth trying:
| Symptom | Likely cause | Fix |
| No cancel option on the Account page | A partner bills you | Cancel with the biller named on your statement |
| No cancel option in the TV app | TV apps generally do not offer it | Use peacocktv.com in a browser |
| Charged on the day you cancelled | You cancelled on the billing date | Cancel by the day before; ask support about the charge |
| Charged after cancelling months ago | A second account or a second biller | Search your email for Peacock receipts and check each account |
| Charged by Peacock and by Xfinity | An old subscription kept running after an Xfinity offer | Cancel the separate subscription; overlap is not refunded |
| Higher charge than expected | The August 2026 increase reached your billing date | Downgrade or cancel before the next renewal |
| No confirmation email | Emails can take hours | Check the Account page shows an end date; screenshot it |
Sign in at peacocktv.com, open Account, choose Cancel All Subscriptions and confirm. If that option is missing, cancel with whoever bills you: Apple, Google, Roku, Amazon, Xfinity or another partner.
Cancel the subscription first, then submit a deletion request through the NBCUniversal privacy page that Peacock’s help centre links to. Deletion removes your history and may affect other NBCUniversal services.
Since August 2026: Select is $8.99, Premium is $12.99 and Premium Plus is $19.99 a month in the US. Annual plans are $89.99, $129.99 and $199.99.
Not when you sign up directly in 2026. Free or cheap access comes through partners, such as an Instacart+ trial or the Walmart+ perk, and those convert to paid memberships if you do not cancel them.
Only on Roku, and only if Roku bills you: press the star button on the Peacock channel and choose Manage subscription. Direct subscribers must use a browser.
Yes, for direct and app store subscriptions your plan runs to the end of the paid term. Cancelling through Xfinity can end access immediately.
Generally no. You keep access until the year ends, and cancelling only stops the next renewal.
On amazon.com, go to Account, then Memberships and Subscriptions, find Peacock and cancel. Prime Video Channels subscriptions are also listed under Channels in Prime Video settings.
Yes. Sign in with the same account and choose a plan. You will pay the current price, not the one you had before.
