Short answer: sign in at paramountplus.com, open your profile menu, choose Account, scroll down and select Cancel Subscription, then confirm. Do it before your next billing date, ideally a day or two early. If there is no Cancel Subscription option, Apple, Google, Roku, Amazon, Walmart+, T-Mobile or a TV provider is billing you, and you cancel with them instead.
Paramount+ is simple to cancel once you know who holds the subscription, and that is exactly where most people get stuck. A large share of Paramount+ subscribers never paid Paramount directly: they signed up through an Amazon Prime Video channel, a Roku, an iPhone, a Walmart+ membership or a mobile or cable plan. In each of those cases the Paramount+ website cannot end the plan for you.
This guide covers every route, the 2026 prices for the Essential and Premium plans after the January price rise, why the free trial no longer works the way it used to, what happens to an annual plan, and the difference between cancelling and deleting your account.
Look at the charge on your bank or card statement before you do anything else. The merchant name tells you where the cancel button lives.
| What your statement says | Who bills you | Where to cancel |
| PARAMOUNT+ or PARAMOUNT PLUS | Paramount directly | paramountplus.com, then Account |
| APPLE.COM/BILL | Apple App Store or Apple TV channels | iPhone Settings, then your name, then Subscriptions |
| GOOGLE *Paramount | Google Play | Play Store, then Payments and subscriptions |
| ROKU | Roku | my.roku.com, or the Roku home screen |
| AMAZON, PRIME VIDEO or AMZN Digital | Amazon (Prime Video Channels or Appstore) | Amazon, then Memberships and Subscriptions |
| WALMART+ (no separate Paramount charge) | Walmart+ streaming benefit | Walmart+ account, benefits section |
| T-MOBILE (no separate Paramount charge) | T-Mobile add-on | T-Life app or T-Mobile.com, Manage add-ons |
| XFINITY, SPECTRUM, DIRECTV or another provider | Your TV or internet provider | Your provider’s account page or support line |
If you see no Paramount+ charge anywhere but still have access, you are almost certainly on a bundle such as Walmart+, T-Mobile or a TV package. Ending it means changing that bundle, not cancelling Paramount+.
Paramount+ raised its US prices in mid January 2026, the second increase in under two years. There are now two plans. Essential is the cheaper plan with ads. Premium is the plan that used to be sold as Paramount+ with Showtime: it removes ads from on-demand content and adds the Showtime library, your live local CBS station and downloads for offline viewing.
| Plan | Monthly | Annual | Effective monthly on annual | What you get |
| Paramount+ Essential | $8.99 | $89.99 | About $7.50 | Full on-demand library with ads, live sports such as NFL on CBS and UFC events |
| Paramount+ Premium (formerly with Showtime) | $13.99 | $139.99 | About $11.67 | Ad-free on demand, Showtime titles, live local CBS, downloads |
| Before January 2026 | $7.99 / $12.99 | $59.99 / $119.99 | n/a | Old Essential / Premium prices |
The annual Essential plan rose by 50 percent, from $59.99 to $89.99, which is the change most likely to surprise you at renewal. Student and military discounts continue at a reduced rate. Prices through Amazon, Roku, Apple, Google and partners can differ slightly, so the figure on your own receipt or account page is the one that counts.
If the price rise is your reason for leaving, consider whether a plan switch does the job first. Dropping from Premium to Essential saves $5 a month and keeps your watchlist and profiles.
Paramount’s terms say your subscription renews automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel before the end of the current one, and that the renewal is charged at the rate in effect at that time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the billing period you have already paid for.
This is the route for anyone billed by Paramount directly, which usually means you signed up on paramountplus.com with a card or PayPal. Use a web browser on a computer or phone; the TV apps do not offer a cancel option for direct subscribers.
Afterwards, reload the Account page. It should show the end date of your access rather than a next billing date. If it still shows a renewal, the cancellation did not go through.
If you subscribed inside the Paramount+ iPhone or iPad app, or added Paramount+ as a channel in the Apple TV app, Apple holds the subscription. The tell is a charge reading APPLE.COM/BILL.
On an Apple TV box, go to Settings, then Users and Accounts, then your account, then Subscriptions. On a Mac, open the App Store, click your name, then Account Settings and Manage next to Subscriptions. Apple, not Paramount, handles any refund request for these charges.
Subscriptions bought inside the Android app or on a Google TV device are billed by Google Play.
Uninstalling the app does not cancel anything. If Paramount+ is not in your Play subscriptions, you were probably billed directly by Paramount or through a partner.
If you started Paramount+ from your Roku, Roku bills you and the charge shows as ROKU. You can cancel on the TV or online.
Do not just remove the channel from your home screen. Roku asks whether you also want to cancel, but removing the tile alone leaves the subscription running.
Paramount+ sold as a Prime Video channel is one of the most common reasons people cannot find the cancel button on paramountplus.com. Amazon bills it, so you cancel it at Amazon. The same applies if you subscribed through the Paramount+ app on a Fire TV using Amazon billing.
Cancelling Amazon Prime does not automatically cancel a Paramount+ channel; channels can carry on as separate charges. If you are ending Prime too, our guide on how to cancel Amazon Prime covers that side.
Bundled Paramount+ does not cancel like a normal subscription, because you are not paying for it on its own. You change the bundle instead.
| Bundle | Plan you get | How to end it |
| Walmart+ | Paramount+ Essential, or Peacock Premium instead | Switch to Peacock in your Walmart+ benefits (once every 90 days), or cancel Walmart+. Access ends with the membership. |
| T-Mobile (Paramount+ on Us) | Paramount+ Essential on eligible plans such as All-In Home Internet | T-Life app or T-Mobile.com, Manage add-ons, deselect Paramount+. It ends at the close of your T-Mobile bill cycle. |
| Xfinity, Spectrum, DIRECTV and other TV providers | Usually Essential, sometimes included with a TV package | Remove the add-on in your provider account or call the provider. Changing your TV package may remove it automatically. |
| Paid ad-free upgrade on a bundle | Premium | Cancel the upgrade where you bought it; it renews separately from the free bundle. |
Two catches. First, if you already pay Paramount+ through Apple or Google, T-Mobile tells you to cancel that and let the paid cycle end before you activate the free version, otherwise you can end up paying for both. Second, ending a bundle does not touch a separate Paramount+ plan you set up yourself, so check for both. Our guides on how to cancel Walmart+ and how to cancel Xfinity cover those memberships in full.
This is the single most common complaint, and it nearly always has one of four causes:
Paramount+ is cancelled online rather than by phone, so calling support is only worth it once you have confirmed which account and which biller you are dealing with.
Does Paramount+ have a free trial? For direct sign-ups in the US, generally no longer. Paramount’s leadership said it was retiring free trials alongside the January 2026 price rise, and the long-standing seven day trial has been removed for most new direct subscribers. Trials still appear through partners, such as Amazon Prime Video Channels, Roku, TV providers and occasional promotions.
If you are on any kind of trial, cancel it exactly like a paid plan, through whichever company started it, and do it at least a day before it ends. Trials convert to the paid monthly price automatically. On most routes you keep access until the trial end date after cancelling, so there is no reason to wait.
Older advice about a 30 day trial or a free trial code usually refers to past promotions. If you were promised a trial and were charged on day one, check your receipt: you may have signed up directly after trials ended, in which case the charge was the normal monthly price.
An annual plan cancels the same way as a monthly one, and the same rule applies: you keep access until the end of the year you paid for, and the plan simply does not renew. Paramount does not prorate or refund the unused months when you cancel mid-year.
| Item | After cancelling |
| Streaming access | Continues until the end of the period you paid for |
| Showtime titles and live local CBS (Premium) | End with the plan |
| Downloaded episodes | Stop playing once the subscription lapses |
| Profiles, watchlist and history | Kept with your account if you come back |
| Your Paramount+ account | Stays open unless you delete it |
| Bundled access | Ends with the bundle or add-on, on the partner’s billing cycle |
Cancelling stops the renewal; it does not lock you out straight away. If you want to resubscribe later, sign in with the same email and choose a plan. If you previously paid through a third party, Paramount generally expects the old subscription to lapse before you start a new one elsewhere.
Most people only need to cancel. Deleting the account is a separate step that erases your profiles and history.
| Cancel subscription | Delete account | |
| Stops future charges | Yes, for the biller you cancel with | Only for Paramount billing; app store and partner billing must be cancelled separately |
| Access to the rest of the paid period | Yes | Can end immediately |
| Refund of unused time | No | No; Paramount’s terms say deleting does not entitle you to a refund |
| Profiles, watchlist, history | Kept | Erased |
| Reversible | Yes, resubscribe any time | No, you would start a new account |
| Where to do it | Account page, or your biller | Delete option in account settings where offered, or a privacy request to Paramount |
To delete a Paramount+ account safely, cancel every subscription first, let it finish, and only then delete. Paramount’s terms say that if you delete the account while a subscription is active, you are not refunded for the rest of the billing period, although you may be able to ask your app store for one. Some apps include a delete option in account settings; otherwise Paramount’s privacy page lets you submit a deletion request.
Usually not from Paramount. Its terms state plainly that you will not be refunded for fees you have already paid, except where the law requires otherwise, and cancelling mid-period just stops the next renewal. That applies to monthly and annual plans alike. There are still a few routes worth trying:
Whatever the route, have the receipt, the account email and a screenshot of your cancellation confirmation ready.
| Symptom | Likely cause | Fix |
| No Cancel Subscription option | Apple, Google, Roku, Amazon or a partner bills you | Cancel with the biller shown on your statement |
| Still charged after cancelling on the website | A second subscription through an app store or Amazon | Check each store’s subscription list and cancel there too |
| Charged on the day you cancelled | The renewal processed before the cancellation | Cancel earlier next time; ask the biller about the charge |
| Account page still shows a next billing date | You did not finish the final confirmation | Repeat the steps until an end date appears |
| Charges from an account you cannot sign in to | An old account on a different email | Search your inbox for receipts and reset that account’s password |
| Lost access but you want it back | A bundle or add-on ended | Resubscribe directly, or re-add it through the partner |
| Annual renewal at a much higher price | The January 2026 price rise | Cancel now to stop future renewals; refunds are not guaranteed |
Sign in at paramountplus.com, open the profile menu, choose Account and select Cancel Subscription. If someone else bills you, cancel with them.
Essential is $8.99 a month or $89.99 a year. Premium is $13.99 a month or $139.99 a year.
Essential has ads. Premium removes ads from on-demand titles and adds Showtime, your live local CBS station and downloads.
Not for most direct US sign-ups since early 2026. Trials still turn up through partners and promotions.
In your Amazon account, open Memberships and Subscriptions, find Paramount+ under Prime Video Channels and cancel the channel.
Highlight the Paramount+ tile, press the star button and choose Manage subscription, then Cancel subscription. Or do it at my.roku.com.
Yes. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you already paid for.
Not from Paramount for unused months. If Apple, Google, Amazon or Roku billed you, ask them.
Cancel every subscription first, then use the delete option in account settings where offered or submit a deletion request through Paramount’s privacy page.
It ends the included Paramount+ Essential benefit, but not a separate Paramount+ plan you pay for yourself.
