Short answer: sign in at stitchfix.com, select the profile icon with your initial, then Fix frequency, then Manage Fix frequency, then Proceed to cancel, then Confirm cancel. That stops automatic Fixes. If a Fix is already scheduled, open Fix, select Edit next to the delivery date and choose Cancel your Fix, and do it before your Stylist starts working on it, which is roughly two weeks before delivery. Closing the account itself is a separate request through support.
Stitch Fix is not a normal subscription, and that is why so many people think they have cancelled when they have not. There is no monthly membership fee to stop. What you are really stopping is a schedule of automatic deliveries, each one with its own $20 styling fee that is charged before the box ships. Turn off the schedule but leave one Fix in the queue, and that Fix still arrives.
This guide covers the three things people mean by “cancel Stitch Fix”: stopping automatic Fixes, cancelling a single upcoming Fix, and permanently closing the account. It also explains when the styling fee is credited or lost, how the 3 day return window works with the prepaid bag, what to do about a Fix that is already on its way, and when a refund is possible.
Unlike most apps, Stitch Fix does not sell its service as an App Store or Google Play subscription. Styling fees and kept items are charged by Stitch Fix to the card saved in your account, so almost every cancellation happens in your Stitch Fix account. Still, match the charge on your statement before you start.
| What your statement says | Who bills you | Where to cancel |
| STITCH FIX, about $20, roughly two weeks before a delivery | Stitch Fix (styling fee) | Fix frequency and the Fix page in your Stitch Fix account |
| STITCH FIX, a larger amount after a delivery | Stitch Fix (items you kept, or items not returned in time) | Checkout in your account, or Stitch Fix support for a return |
| STITCH FIX, a Freestyle order | Stitch Fix Freestyle (one-off shopping) | Orders and returns in your account; nothing recurring to cancel |
| APPLE.COM/BILL or GOOGLE with no Stitch Fix name | Not Stitch Fix | Check your Apple or Google subscriptions for a different app |
| STITCH FIX on a card you do not recognise | A second account or a family profile | Sign in to each account and check every profile |
Stitch Fix has no subscription fee. You pay a styling fee for each Fix, then pay for whatever you keep. How much Stitch Fix costs each month therefore depends on how often you get a Fix and how many items you buy. These are the figures on Stitch Fix’s US help pages as of October 2026:
| Charge | US price | When it applies |
| Styling fee | $20 per Fix | Charged when styling begins, about two weeks before delivery |
| Women’s and men’s items | About $28 to $500 each | Only for items you keep |
| Kids items | From $10 each | Only for items you keep |
| Keep five or more items | 20% off the whole purchase | Women’s and men’s Fixes |
| Keep the whole kids Fix | Fix discount on the order | Kids Fixes |
| Freestyle | Item price only, no styling fee | On-demand shopping, no schedule |
| Keeping the account open | $0 | Always; there is no cost to an inactive account |
Automatic Fixes can be set to arrive every two to three weeks, every month, every other month or every three months. On a two to three week schedule, the styling fee alone can reach $40 or more a month before you keep a single item, which is usually what prompts people to cancel.
The styling fee is the part of Stitch Fix that catches most people, so it is worth knowing exactly how it behaves:
Stitch Fix does not publish a fixed number of days. The rule in its help centre is that you can cancel an upcoming Fix up until your Stylist begins personalising your selections. Once that happens, the Cancel your Fix option disappears from your account.
Because the styling fee is charged when styling begins, and that is usually about two weeks before delivery, treat 15 days before your estimated delivery date as your practical deadline. Your estimated delivery date is shown on the Fix page. If you are inside that window and the cancel option is still there, use it immediately. If it is gone, contact support at once, because only support can stop a Fix that is being styled, and only if it has not shipped.
This is how to cancel a Stitch Fix subscription in the sense most people mean: no more boxes on a schedule. It works in any browser, including the one on your phone.
Your account stays active after this, and you can still shop Freestyle or request a single Fix whenever you like. To restart automatic deliveries, go back to Fix frequency and select Schedule Fix.
Stopping automatic Fixes does not touch a Fix that is already booked. To cancel the Stitch Fix order itself:
If Edit or Cancel your Fix does not appear, your Stylist has already started. Go straight to the section on a Fix already on the way.
The Stitch Fix app is built for iPhone and iPad, and Stitch Fix’s help centre gives app steps for cancelling an upcoming Fix (Fix in the bottom menu, then Edit, then Cancel your Fix) but not for changing your Fix frequency. In practice:
This is the situation that sends most people searching. You cancelled, but a Fix is still coming. Here is what to do, depending on how far along it is.
| Where the Fix is | Can you cancel it? | What it costs you |
| Scheduled, Stylist not started | Yes, in your account | Nothing; any styling fee already charged is refunded |
| Stylist has started, not shipped | Only by contacting support straight away | Nothing if support cancels it; otherwise as below |
| Shipped or delivered | No, but you can return everything | The $20 styling fee, which is non-refundable if you keep nothing |
If the box arrives anyway, you are not obliged to buy anything. Check out in your account within 3 days, mark every item as Return, and send everything back in the prepaid bag. Your total cost is the $20 styling fee. If you like one item, keeping it is the only way to get value from that fee, because the $20 is credited toward anything you keep from that Fix.
Before you post the returns, make sure Fix frequency is cancelled. Otherwise the next styling fee can be charged as soon as your returns are logged.
The Stitch Fix return policy for a Fix is short. You have 3 days after delivery to decide what to keep, check out and get the returns moving.
The scan is what counts. Stitch Fix’s system automatically charges your payment method for items if the try-on window ends before the carrier scans your return.
Need more time? On the homepage or the Fix Checkout page there is an option to extend the return window to a date you choose. It disappears once you have checked out, so extend first if you are unsure. After checkout, only support can extend it.
Style Pass was an annual payment that replaced per-Fix styling fees for frequent clients. It does not appear in Stitch Fix’s current help centre or pricing pages, which describe only the $20 per-Fix styling fee, so it is not something new customers can buy in 2026.
If you still see a Style Pass or a similar annual charge on your account or statement, do not assume cancelling Fix frequency ends it. Contact Stitch Fix support, ask them to confirm in writing that no annual renewal is due, and ask what happens to any unused styling credit before you close the account.
A Stitch Fix family account can hold separate profiles for you, a partner and children, and each profile has its own Fixes. Cancelling Fix frequency on your own profile does not stop a kids Fix scheduled on a child’s profile. Switch to each profile in turn, check its Fix page and Fix frequency, and cancel each one that still shows a delivery date. Account deletion also works profile by profile on family accounts.
Many people searching how to cancel a Stitch Fix account only need to stop automatic Fixes. Deleting the account is permanent and has no self-serve button on the website.
| Stop automatic Fixes | Delete account | |
| Stops styling fees | Yes, once no Fix is scheduled | Yes |
| Keeps order history and Style Profile | Yes | No, personal data is removed |
| Freestyle access | Yes | No |
| Referral credit and gift card balance | Kept | Lost, not refundable |
| Reversible | Yes, select Schedule Fix | No, you need a new account |
| How to do it | Profile, then Fix frequency, then Manage Fix frequency | Contact support, or in the iOS app go to Help Center, then Permanently delete account |
To delete your Stitch Fix account, first finish every open return and refund, from both Fixes and Freestyle orders, because Stitch Fix asks you to complete those before it processes deletion. Then contact support by chat, text or email so they can confirm your identity, or use the iOS app: open the account menu, then Help Center, then Permanently delete account, fill in the form and select Request deletion. Any unused styling fees, referral credits and gift card balances are forfeited.
It depends on what you paid for.
Refunds go to your original payment method, or back to account credit if you paid with credit. Stitch Fix’s help pages quote processing times between 5 and 14 business days after it receives the return, so allow up to 14 business days before chasing. One catch: if returning items means you no longer qualify for a discount, such as the 20% for keeping five or more items, the discount can be taken out of your refund.
| Symptom | Likely cause | Fix |
| A Fix arrived after you cancelled | You stopped Fix frequency but the next Fix was already scheduled or being styled | Return everything within 3 days with the prepaid bag; you lose only the $20 fee |
| A $20 charge right after sending returns | Automatic Fixes were still on, so the next styling fee was charged | Cancel Fix frequency, then cancel the new Fix before styling starts for a refund of the fee |
| Charged for items you sent back | The carrier scanned the bag after the try-on window closed | Wait for the items to reach Stitch Fix; the refund follows. Contact support if it does not |
| No Cancel your Fix button | Your Stylist has already started | Contact support straight away by chat, text or email |
| Kids Fix still arriving | It is scheduled on a separate family profile | Switch profiles and cancel Fix frequency on each one |
| Refund smaller than expected | The keep-five discount was removed after a return | Check the receipt; the lost discount is deducted from the refund |
If none of these explains the charge, contact Stitch Fix support with the date and amount from your statement and a screenshot of your Fix frequency page showing it is cancelled.
Sign in at stitchfix.com, select your profile icon, then Fix frequency, Manage Fix frequency, Proceed to cancel and Confirm cancel. Then check the Fix page and cancel any upcoming Fix that is still scheduled.
There is no subscription fee. Each Fix has a $20 styling fee, credited toward anything you keep. Women’s and men’s items run about $28 to $500 each, kids items start at $10, and keeping five or more items gets 20% off the whole purchase.
Only if you cancel the Fix before it is styled, in which case it is refunded automatically. Once a Fix is delivered, the fee is non-refundable and works only as a credit toward items from that Fix.
Open Fix, select Edit next to the estimated delivery date, then Cancel your Fix, and confirm. You must do this before your Stylist starts, roughly two weeks before delivery.
3 days after delivery to check out and send back what you do not want, unless you extend the window before checking out. Items you kept can be returned for a refund within 30 days of purchase.
Finish all open returns and refunds, then contact support by chat, text or email, or use Help Center, then Permanently delete account, in the iOS app. Deletion is permanent and forfeits credits and gift card balances.
You can cancel an upcoming Fix in the iOS app from the Fix tab. For stopping automatic Fixes, the website is the reliable route, and it works from your phone’s browser.
Stitch Fix’s current help pages only describe the $20 per-Fix styling fee. If you still have an annual pass or charge, ask support to confirm it will not renew.
